Jesters has been brilliant for my daughter and has really helped with her confidence. The classes are friendly, welcoming and the teachers make every child feel special. My daughter started as a Broadway Baby and attended Twinkle Toes ballet from the age of 2 . At age 6 she is now a Junior Jester and attends Pierrot ballet! She adores Annie and the other teachers - they are all fantastic! Highly recommend for children of all ages!

Broadway Babies is great! We tried a few different toddler classes before this one but none of them felt right. As soon as we tried Broadway Babies, we both loved it and have been going for 8 months now. Annie is wonderful with the children The other families are all friendly The adults get to have a sing-song The children get to have fun but also learn about listening to the 'teacher' Overall, I would highly recommend

My son has been attending Jesters Theatre Academy since he was 5 or 6 years old. The fact that he is still attending and is nearly 15 is testament to just how much he loves it! His little sister has joined this year too and she is always excited to go. The children can really be themselves at Jesters and this has done wonders for their confidence (both on and off-stage). Annie and her team really look upon the children as a community and their ethos is always centred around Jesters being a caring and nurturing place to be. Annie really gets to know the children and will always go that extra mile for them. This was certainly true during lockdowns as she kept things going online and even organised extra ‘snack and chat’ sessions so that the children had social time with their friends because she genuinely cares about their well-being.

Our little six years old loves Jesters, normally she drops out of after school clubs pretty quickly but she is sticking with this one! She likes all of her lovely teachers, all the children are kind and fun to be around, she comes out buzzing! Great place to help little ones gain confidence and have fun. Highly recommend!

I do Broadway 567 through Jesters Theatre Academy and it’s the most feel good fitness dance class I’ve ever done. Annie is amazing and hosts an all inclusive class. It doesn’t matter what your level of dancing. We laugh lots and have fun. Thanks Jesters. X

My daughter has been going to Jesters for around seven years now, and the opportunities she has had have been immense. She has sung and danced in Disneyland Paris twice, once coming home with the IFDPA gold medal for singing, she has taken part in Pride, she has performed at Her Majesty's Theatre, been part of so many shows within Jesters, including High School Musical and Legally Blonde. None of this would have been possible without the hard work of her, and Annie and Charlotte. When she first came to Jesters, she had no confidence, both tutors recognised her talent and brought her confidence up to a higher level, they believed in her, and instilled that belief in my daughter. They do that with EVERY child that comes to Jesters, to watch it, is just amazing, they truly care about every child. Jesters is a family to us, Annie truly cares about the children, and the parents. I recommend Jesters for beginners and established performers, there is no pressure, it is a safe, fun space for all. Thankyou Annie and Charlotte.

Jesters is a great place. My child is always asking to go there even on days that it doesn't run. Annie and Charlotte have been amazing for my son and he has become more confident and creative since joining. Annie is really approachable and will do anything she can to help you. This really is a truly friendly and family oriented theatre school.

I have experienced a couple of Jesters classes, with my children. My children thoroughly enjoy the classes they are fun and friendly. They treat you as their family when you are there. My youngest had enjoyed going to Broadway babies in Kingsland church Colchester. He really enjoyed going there but had started school so he started going to the after school drama lessons instead. We have also recently done 2 of the summer workshops. Dumbo and Signing choir, these were amazing really fun and informative for the signing choir they learned how to sign 3 popular songs. Annie and Charlotte are very good teachers and are very fair and consistent to every student, all students are treat the same.

As a parent I have been with Jesters for about 5 or 6 years now (so felt I should probably leave a review) my eldest attended Broadway Babies and now Jesters School drama club, as well as holiday workshops and my youngest is a Broadway Babie and also attends the drama and workshops. I didn't know Annie before taking my eldest to classes all those years ago and she was (and still is) always welcoming and friendly. She makes an effort to interact with all the children. Which must be tough when it's a large class. The classes are varied and the exercises/activities are inclusive, creative and fun. She is a teacher, and at times this includes being strict and disciplining the children - which I encourage and support. I've watched many MANY classes that Annie runs, she clearly enjoys teaching and the children enjoy her classes, she is full of praise and attention for all of the children that are working hard and applying themselves. Not all classes/subjects/teaching styles are for everyone but I would recommend Jesters classes to anyone who has an interest in drama/dance. I have also had the pleasure of seeing Charlotte and Debbie teach my children on the odd occasion and they are both brilliant teachers too, they have all the qualities of Annie with their own little styles and quirks thrown in. I'm glad we went first went along to Broadway Babies all those years ago.

Jesters is a fantastic place and Annie is a fantastic teacher. Not only is she fully qualified at what he does, she also loves it. Annie and the other Jesters teachers are friendly and kind and, if you're reading this, definitely sign your child up! (Although the fact that sheshas a waiting list speaks for itself 😋)

Jesters provides fun and innovative dance, singing and drama classes in an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. My daughter has been attending the Chelmsford classes for several years and has had some amazing opportunities to perform at Disney, the West End, local theatres and events, as well as in-house productions. Their repertoire is eclectic, diverse and inspiring, and is always delivered in a supporting and nurturing way. The teachers are all very accomplished and have lots of professional experience in both the industry and teaching. They are also very approachable and objective and will always welcome input and support from parents and carers. If your child wants to have fun performing, being active, learning new skills whilst gaining confidence then Jesters comes very highly recommended.

Love Jesters!. My daughter, neice and i are all part of Jesters Theatre Academy. Caters for all ages up to adults. We all love it, and always come away with big smiles on our faces. Annie, Jo and team have outstanding talent which is taught in a ,passionate, fun way. We always feel welcome and are encouraged and supported . Annie is a great teacher, she has a unique style about her teaching methods which are tailored to all of her students. She is fair and supportive to all. She is a qwirky character which I think is why most adults love her and the children can relate to her.
