I got to know Salsa Rocks during my exchange program in Uk. Here I met truly welcoming, including and warm people sharing the same interest. The teachers are fun, dedicated and skilled. The warm atmosphere makes you keep coming back. I have left the country know, but keep coming back regularly as I miss the salsa friends I got to know from Salsa Rocks. Thanks Rahul and the rest of the crew ;)

Salsa Rocks provides truly exceptional salsa teaching, a great environment and venue for learning, all within a warm, friendly and non pretentious atmosphere.
The team ( key male and female teachers) adopt a very nuanced approach to teaching, by stressing the absolute fundamentals of how each move works by deconstructing moves in to their constituent parts.
This approach allows learners to learn comprehensively-correct techniques, with no room for ambiguity. Hence, the teaching of correct dance habits at inception.
The two key teachers (founders of Salsa Rocks) are imbued with endearing humbleness and niceness, always willing to impart knowledge outside teaching hours They expend their salsa time and energy in teaching salsa with unyielding enthusiasm and passion. This is infectious for learners.
All the teachers are regular attendees at international salsa congresses, and as such the moves taught reflect non-cliche moves, club-style salsa dance moves, and with a sprinkling of congress-informed moves ( If you want hints of Oliver Pineda etal then visit Salsa Rocks ).
It's pretty much the only 'regular' weekly class on the Yorkshire circuit where both improver and intermediate level classes each have both male and female salsa teachers, all of whom are of international congress standard. Thus, no expense and resources are spared by Salsa Rocks in delivering a truly WOW teaching and learning experiences that are geared equally to male, female, leader and follower learners; this distinguishes it from all other regular weekly classes.
Salsa Rocks teachers have proximity- by virtue of their salsa contacts - to specialists in facets of salsa dancing and, as such, they deliver specialist workshops throughout the year, taught by UK-wide specialists.
Salsa Rocks is attended by people of all ages, levels, backgrounds and cultures.
It's a truly diverse and eclectic mix of people :-). Everyone feels welcome and safe.
It can't go without highlighting the social dancing that takes place after class: a perfect opportunity to practice and improve your dancing with dancers of all abilities.
Moreover in the social dancing you can't fail to be inspired and captivated by the synergy and chutzpah flavour of some of the experienced dancers; this is where you can learn from dancers that ooze, project and embody salsa-musicality.
If you want to aspire to hitting breaks and accents in the music then pay close attention to teachers Rahul and Mark, amongst a few others.
In fact , the intermediate class delivers musicality classes as part of its themed teaching syllabus.
It's evident that I personally and unequivocally recommend Salsa Rocks !!

The music is top notch, full of diversity and played with interest. The teaching focuses on technique development. No better way to share your salsa journey than with a group of lovely and enthusiastic people. Just dance with them and you'll know.
