Reviews of Battersea Spanish | Spanish Courses London | Flamenco London
K. T.
Attended such a fun and enjoyable flamenco workshop in the afternoon and then watched an amazing professional show in the evening at this fabulous Spanish cultural centre in Battersea last Saturday. Such a friendly and welcoming place and event. Indulged in delicious tapas and drinks at the onsite restaurant. Already booked for next month's event. Highly recommended.
L. L.
Highly recommend this wonderful school. Everyone is so friendly and the environment is welcoming - great tapas and wine at the Tapas Room as well - for before, after or during class as you like. Trini was my teacher for Beginner Spanish and was fantastic, always coming with a positive and upbeat attitude every week.
A.
The best Spanish school in the world. Extremely friendly and relaxed, but very in depth classes in a great atmosphere. The whole community is just wonderful with a lot of extra curriculum activities. Can not recommend highly enough!

Since I discovered Battersea Spanish dance classes, my life has changed. All through lockdown and the stresses of work I have found the daily classes invigorating and life affirming. Not only is my body in a much better place, but so is my mental health. The lovely nature of all the teachers and engaging music and choreography makes it a wonderful thing to look forward to in the evening. I would recommend them to anyone.

I’ve known Ben and Sara since they were teaching out of their house. It’s obvious how good they are because now they are in their second premises with an amazing tapas bar. They don’t only teach spanish but celebrate every aspect of the culture with flamenco, food, movies etc. Highly recommended

This is my first experience at Battersea Spanish in the Intermediate Conversation Class. The venue is spacious with a Spanish touch to the decoration and my teacher, Maria, very welcoming. In a small class it has been easy to feel at home and to converse with an ease I didn’t know I was capable of doing. The course materials and teaching support are excellent. It is a joy to attend and learn in this stimulating environment.
T. A.
Had an AMAZING experience learning Flamenco with Battersea Spanish! Such a fun learning environment, with great teachers! Learnt loads of new skills, a lot about flamenco culture and met some great new people!

Recommended by my sister, Battersea Spanish is a really friendly school with small classes and very helpful teachers – thank you to Edoardo for encouraging me to learn! This term has been fun and a great way to pick up where I left off learning Spanish 7 years ago. Online learning is a new experience but a good option as I do not live in London. I really hope these classes will continue. Only sorry that I cannot come to Battersea to enjoy other events at the school!
H. T.
So delighted to have been introduced to Battersea Spanish I really enjoy the excellent courses. Great that my Spanish cultural knowledge is improving. Online zoom learning is fantastic for me as I live too far from London to attend at Battersea so please do continue these online courses. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
J. D.
Honestly one of my favourite places in London. I have done several years of courses now which has improved my Spanish a lot. But more than that, I have had so much fun learning about the culture, attending so many varied events and meeting fantastic people. Haven't yet met a teacher I didn't want to be friends with, and now with the tapas bar it is the ideal place for a few glasses of something nice and some delicious nibbles. A community like none other, can't recommend it enough and I have already got some friends to sign up too!
C. B.
Authentic, passionate, dedicated teachers, and an all-around fantastic and fun environment for learning Spanish. Highly, highly recommended.
C. S.
I love my lessons at Battersea Spanish. The teacher (Maria) is just lovely, and clearly really enjoys what she does. The lessons are well paced and very well planned. I have learned a lot and made definite progress from only 6 weeks ago when I started (on the pre-intermediate 3 course). I definitely suggest doing all the homework as it's great for feedback and improving your writing skills. In addition to that the new building is charming with a tapas bar downstairs for getting wine and food before and/or after lessons. I would highly recommend.
A. B.
The team at Battersea Spanish have created a wonderful learning environment and built a community which makes the experience extra special. I started as a complete beginner, and have been with the school for over a year. All of the teachers, with their different styles, have been brilliant and the classrooms are relaxed and comfortable. I have been fortunate enough make new friends through the school and have attended film nights and a group trip to Ronda in Spain which allowed me to interact with students at different levels and native Spanish speakers.
M. F.
Battersea Spanish is an incredible place to learn Spanish. I've completed 7 courses there going from absolute beginner to now being being able to have conversations with my Spanish family which was my goal when I started. You can really immerse yourself into Latin culture also which speeds up the learning process. There are Spanish movie nights, cooking courses inspired by the Hispanic regions of the world and dance classes including Flamenco & Salsa. It is really has a community vibe which makes it unique in London. Above all the teachers are amazing, very passionate and talented. The classes are always fun & innovative! Start your journey, you won;t regret it!!!
T. R.
My Spanish is rapidly improving! This is an excellent school with well thought out courses and great teachers. So far I have only experienced online due to Covid - but it's been well worth it. It's fun, the courses are constructed very well and it doesn't feel like a burden to learn. I highly recommend.

Battersea Spanish is the best school to learn Spanish language and get immerse in the culture! I attended Spanish classes as well as Flamenco courses and all the teachers I encountered has been so lovely and dedicated. I have really excelled in my Spanish and dancing and meet so many lovely people along the way.
K. A.
I have been a member of the Battersea Spanish family for three years now starting out as a beginner in Spanish language (now intermediate conversation) and then adding on Tango classes to my studies! The teachers are fantastic; incredibly passionate and enthusiastic about the subjects and the study groups in both dance and language skills are small which encourages greater learning. They also do lots of events including parties on a boat, film nights and pub quizzes so it's not just about learning but a really fun social scene where you make lots of new friends. I would definitely recommend anyone interested in Spanish and Latin American culture to join this school.
S. E.
Highly recommended. As someone who knew a bit of Spanish from travelling around South America, Battersea Spanish was the perfect school for me to join. Their range of affordable courses allowed me to choose a course that was right for my level & Sara (the owner) gave me great advice as to which course was right for me.
The lessons are well structured with a very friendly, engaging teacher who challenges the classes ability while ensuring everyone's abilities are catered for.
Their range of courses, events & activities outside of Spanish classes allows everyone opportunities to practice their Spanish in more informal, fun environments.
M. F.
As a new Spanish learner, I would definitely recommend Battersea Spanish to get you started. I have found the teachers to not only be excellent at teaching the Spanish language, but also welcoming and friendly which makes a fun, comfortable, and helpful learning environment. I have found that the course offers a perfect combination of practical and written tasks, with a small and friendly group environment. I have also thoroughly enjoyed the social aspect, as well as learning about the different cultures in South America/Spain!
S. R.
If you're looking to learn / improve your Spanish, or just want to get involved in the Spanish / Latin American culture, I can't recommend this school enough. I started from scratch a year ago (it's actually quite intimidating going back into a classroom and speaking a different language!) - but the teachers and management put you at ease immediately and really make you feel like you're part of a bigger community - through the classes, their general communication and the different events / activities they hold. The coursework / homework / materials you're provided with are fantastic and I honestly believe you wouldn't get the same care and guidance in any other school. It's well worth the investment!!
L. O.
A wide range of classes and activities are on offer here and I can highly recommend jumping in and getting involved! I live and work further out in South East London but it's definitely worth the trip to Battersea once a week, I can't imagine going to a different Spanish school now! The teachers are excellent and can really work a course around the group to ensure you get the most out of it. The lessons are genuinely fun - the best way to learn Spanish!
S. B.
Not only is the teaching incredible, Battersea Spanish is inclusive and thoughtful to all their students. I have never felt more welcomed anywhere else than I have here. They will accommodate to your needs and are happy to meet each student at their own level.
Big shout-out to my teachers Maria & Irene and also the founder and owner of the business Sara for all the wonderful work they do. I have a better grasp of Spanish now than ever before so many thanks :).
I would by all means continue but I am now living outside Clapham/Battersea. I hope to be back one day in the future.
S. P.
A fantastic Spanish school! I stumbled across Battersea Spanish via a Google search and I am so glad I did. The courses are fantastic and the teachers go above and beyond to help you learn and in a way that suits you. Alongside Spanish classes you can attend movie nights, social events and even a trip abroad - they have created an immerse and fun way to learn. Teachers are super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend :)
K. V.
I have been doing regular courses at Batter Spanish, including salsa, Spanish grammar and Spanish conversation. I don´t know any language schools where you get such a total immersion in Spanish & Latin-American culture as you get at Battersea Spanish. It's not just the courses but also the numerous social events organised by the school. The teachers are all fantastic and engaging. The classes are generally fun and relaxed, with class sizes just right and a great atmosphere. My Spanish has really improved and it is a joy to come to class. Highly recommended!
H. A.
I started at Battersea Spanish as a complete beginner and never looked back! The passion and enthusiasm of the teachers is so contagious that each lesson is always fun, friendly and stimulating. The class materials and homework are excellently planned and the grammar teaching is excellently explained (even the differences between Spanish & Latin American words). I have been truly impressed by Battersea Spanish and would 100% recommend them if you're looking to learn Spanish and about Hispanic culture in a fun and friendly environment!
P. D.
This is my first course at Battersea Spanish and I've found the course very exciting. The tutor is engaging and makes learning fun as well as challenging and thus getting the best from you. The learners in my group are very friendly and we all have a great sense of humour and together with Miguel the tutor have fun in learning together.
The course materials are online and can be printed out as required. Also gives access to videos and quizzes to enhance your learning outside of class hours.
The centre also offers other Spanish aspects to learn such as salsa, film nights, pub quizzes and other entertainment events which allows learners to get most of engaging in the Spanish lifestyle and culture.
Hopefully I intend to continue to the next level.
J. C.
Best Spanish school I've ever attended. Really easy going atmosphere, passionate teachers and fun classes ...you learn without even knowing it.
The thing that really sets Battersea Spanish apart is the community that you become a part of after joining. The course becomes more than just the classes. It is all of the things that happen outside the class like Spanish film nights, trips to Spanish speaking countries, Margarita workshops and Battersea Spanish dinner parties that help you learn speaking in context. It's a terrific place to learn Spanish.
S. P.
Battersea Spanish is just the place for people who absolutely love all things hispanic. I always look forward to my amazing flamenco classes each week...such great and inspiring teaching and we all have a lot of fun too. Battersea Spanish is a hidden South London gem which is highly rated by everyone lucky enough to step foot in this warm and beautiful home.

Battersea Spanish is a fantastic place to learn Salsa with a dedicated and professional teacher. From the moment you step into the class, you're captivated by the Latin music and the friendly environment. The lessons are led by an expert instructor (Carlos) whose enthusiasm is contagious and whose patience is inexhaustible. Attentive to each individual student, he provides a great combination of encouragement, correction, challenge and fun. New moves are demonstrated very precisely, ensuring that students develop a solid understanding of the steps and art of Latin dance. Complete beginners only a few weeks ago, it’s hard to believe how much we’ve all learnt in such a short space of time…and how much we’ve laughed!
Battersea Spanish is more than just a dance and language school, there are also numerous social and cultural activities on offer. Consequently, there is a real sense of community and a very convivial atmosphere. I have met many lovely fellow students - it feels like you are part of an extended family. I look forward to joining more courses in the future.
J. I.
One of my favorite places in London! It's not only about learning Spanish, it's about great people, fantastic atmosphere, cultural experience, non-stop discussions, a lot of fun and a lot of learning of course. I could not recommend it more. I did 3 levels in Spanish, attended a salsa class and Spanish movies night - all these experiences bring the best memories. Looking forward to more!
C. D. C.
I absolutely love going to Battersea Spanish! I take both Spanish Conversation Lessons and Salsa Lessons there and it is so much fun! The instructors (Lucia and Juan Carlos) are incredible, as are the owners. It really feels like a wonderful Spanish family. Even my boyfriend who was terrified of trying dance lessons has become hooked with Salsa!
D. S.
A really great school. The teachers are excellent and the lessons well prepared and structured. The school also offers an amazing range of extra curricular activities to give you additional chance to practice.
I used to teach English as a foreign language and I can recognise a quality language school when I see one, and Battersea Spanish is definitely the best. If I were to set up a language school, Battersea Spanish would be the model I'd use!
A. C.
I was introduced to Battersea Spanish through their monthly film club and from there I enrolled in lessons. The school is FANTASTIC. The teachers are enthusiastic and engaging and the small class sizes make feel really personable. There are a bunch of amazing social activities with lots of events to go to giving the closest thing to cultural immersion as you can get whist living in the big smoke. They are friendly and professional and I have already signed up for next term. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Gracias Battersea Spanish for a great first term!
V. F.
This is by far the best Spanish school I have ever attended! It's an amazing place where to immerse yourself completely in the language and culture through a great range of events and social activities: the cine club, book club, dance classes, brunches and dinners, travel-themed events, just to name a few. The teachers are amazing and so is Sara, the Director; they all work extremely hard to make you feel part of this big family and to create the friendly and fun atmosphere that makes this school so special.
So if you're looking for a Spanish school, look no further! You'll learn lots while having fun!
C. I.
Battersea Spanish is a wonderful place to work and develop. Students are lovely and very committed, and the members of staff are so passionate about the project. Great classes and lots of events, five stars all round!!!
D. H.
Have just had my first class and am very happy to have chosen to study with Battersea Spanish. I was attracted by the small class sizes and their fun, informal approach to language learning, as well as the film nights and food and drink events. I've studied elsewhere before and felt I needed less focus on grammar and more on conversation.
Last week I attended the open house event with tapas (great guacamole!) and a free taster class which was a great introduction to their style. Highly recommended!
A. F.
Love Battersea Spanish! An incredibly fun, friendly, and relaxing place to learn Spanish. Awesome owners and tutors alike - welcoming, enthusiastic, and engaging. The biggest bonus is the opportunity to get involved in so much more than just language learning. Dancing, food, culture, the full works. A holistic Spanish experience, not just a lesson! Thanks guys!
M. F.
I am a Spanish language beginner and Battersea Spanish is just the best. Really friendly and also good fun. The classes are small and the atmosphere is really welcoming. I think they are great. My Spanish isn't brilliant yet but I live in hope!
S. M.
A wonderful language school!
I've had the pleasure of attending this school for a couple of years, with various different courses covering spanish grammar and conversation. It was both enjoyable and effective.
The main reasons that this school stands out are:
• The continuous improvement efforts of the school management. The head of the school, Sara, persistently seeks feedback on all aspects of the student experience.
• The associated cultural events run by the school. You can get involved with these as much or as little as you like.
• The other students are friendly & interesting.
• The teachers are consistently of a very high standard. I've participated in courses led by many different teachers at the school, and they're genuinely very talented at what they do. They're native speakers able to add cultural insights to classes. They're skillful in planning lessons, giving feedback, ensuring all participants speak and creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere within each class.
P. P.
Great class for learning Salsa. Prices are on par with many of the other group lessons, but the biggest difference is that the attention is much more personalized. They keep the student-teacher ratio at a workable level, and therefore you don't have a 60+ students to instructor ratio. The rate of learning with Battersea Salsa is the closest you can get to having 1-on-1 lessons but in a group setting. Probably the best group lessons I have ever taken....plus the added benefit of knowing and growing with my group mates as we progress.
G. S.
Going to my Spanish and salsa classes is the highlight of my week. The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is wonderful. Battersea Spanish isn't just a language school, it's a cultural experience and fabulous community.
D. C.
Joining Battersea Spanish meant access not only to excellent teaching, but also a whole Spanish and Latin American universe powered by the insatiable sociability of Sara and her A-Team of teachers. The range of cultural and social events on offer in addition to the staple language lessons is unlike any other school I've been to. I can't recommend it enough.
J. H.
I love this Spanish school! It is much more than just learning a language at Battersea Spanish, it is an opening into a whole new world! The school brings Spanish and hispanic culture to life with passion not just in the lesson's but with fantastic activities like film nights, food events ,conversation evening's, pub quizes, even trips abroad for example this year the school is visiting Mexico! I had always dreamed of learning Spanish and I am so happy I chose Battersea Spanish it's been a wonderous experience so far being able to begin to speak and to understand this beautiful language and culture and I have met some fantastic people and had a lot of fun.Whatever someone's motivation is for learning Spanish this is the place because they really care about each individuals learning experience.
A. P.
Really enjoying my classes! The Battersea Spanish team do a great job of matching your level to the correct class and creating a fun and open class atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable to practice and develop their Spanish skills. Looking forward to getting involved with the dance classes, pub quizzes and other various events they put on also!
F. H.
I've been attending events and courses at Battersea Spanish since the early days, and I love how innovative and involving the concept is. I've been learning Spanish on and off since I was about 9, and it can be hard to find classes that aren't a bit patronising or a chore once you reach a reasonable level.
I began with the monthly book club, which is more than just a chat about a book - Eduoardo is an expert in Spanish-language literature and I often feel like the way we explore the books and themes is very similar to a university course - but better, because we drink wine and eat tapas.
The latest course I've taken is a conversation class about the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries, co-taught by a Mexican, Colombian, Galician and Andalusian, and includes cooking and painting - so it feels like a more natural way to keep up our Spanish.
The school is run by the wonderful Sara, who has achieved so much in such a short time. She's so passionate and genuinely cares about the experiences of the students at Battersea. I can't wait to see what the school has in store for the future!
J. G.
The teachers make it challenging and interactive throughout lessons so everyone in classes learn at the same pace. The students are encouraged to work together making learning social and quite often helping others to learn can help you learn too. Lucia is a great teacher, couldn't speak more highly of Battersea Spanish.
J. W.
This is a wonderful school for beginners, advanced speakers and everyone in between! Highly recommend it for anyone looking to learn, improve or just practice their Spanish - you'll find a class or an event that suits you. Sara and her team are friendly and enthusiastic - brilliant school run by brilliant people. Enjoy!
m. h.
such a great place to learn, class environment is fun and there is always room for lots of laughs! teachers are really great and dedicated to helping you improve. I would highly recommend battersea spanish, they offer a really cool variety of courses!
S.
Solid Spanish classes going well beyond just teaching the language. Small classes where you interact with the other students, dedicated teachers and plenty of social events to choose from. A full 5 stars from a happy student!
Joined the second salsa course in a row: Fun and creative classes from a teacher that always smiles and gives constructive advice on how to improve your moves and the leading of the lady. Often go for a bite and a drink afterwards with the class. Great way to start your weekend!
E. J.
I highly recommend Battersea Spanish if you are looking for private Spanish classes for your kids. The staff/teachers are really professional and at the same time extremely friendly and know how to make kids learn while having fun. My kids are always looking forward to their classes.
J. M.
I have been studying at Battersea Spanish since January. The lessons and fun and informative and the teachers are very supportive. The film nights, quizzes, etc are a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the language and culture. Highly recommended.

Battersea spanish is not just a school, it is also a recreational place where to go to enjoy people and activities. Brainstorming and positive energy coming from people with high human level combined with professional and well structured classes make this place as comfortable as your own home. Love it and recomment to anybody.
D. A.
Fantastic teaching within a wonderful inclusive community. I thoroughly recommend Battersea Spanish. There are many opportunities to learn about Spanish culture too. Small friendly classes and appropriate homework that is helpfully marked.
J. W.
Battersea Spanish is something special. They work incredibly hard to create a feeling of community. The teachers, the space, the myriad events, the brilliant website… all feel immediately welcoming and vibrant. Really happy I chose this school :)
P. J. (.
Absolutely incredible Spanish school. Excellent value for money, makes learning fun and has really cultivated my passion for Spain and the Spanish language. I have learned more with this school in 6 weeks than I ever have at school or on my own. Highly recommended!
S. B.
A wonderful place to learn Spanish at a pace to suit you as an individual. Very relaxed atmosphere and the teachers are beyond patient (thank you Maria & Maria!).
If you want to learn Spanish at your own pace with excellent teachers there can be nowhere better than Battersea Spanish!
Aprender y disfrutar!!
L. R.
Wonderful place if you want to learn Spanish in a comfortable, vibrant and fun environment. The teachers are amazing and create an environment where everyone feels welcome and safe, without pressure but challenging enough to keep you motivated. Lots of conversation and laughs, interesting and fun course content and ..psst...sometimes there's Cava!!! :)

¡Cinco estrellas!
A friendly and fun place to start learning Spanish - or brush up if you've some experience. Classes are small and teachers' personalities are big. The use of contemporary people, music and films helps you get and stay interested. Highly recommended.
M. H.
Sara, Belen, Elvira and all of the teachers are great. This is a school that doesn't just teach you the language but immerses you in some of the Spanish culture also. It's laid-back, friendly and fun. I've been a student here for 2 years now and I'm really making good progress.
M. G.
A perfect school and the perfect environment if you want to fall in love with the culture as well as the language. As someone who wants somewhere that considers Latin American Spanish, Battersea Spanish is great. It is one big happy family and I love them!
T. H.
Great courses? Check. Amazing tutors? Yep. Fun experience? Definately. Worth the money? Without doubt. Joining Battersea Spanish was something I thought about for a while and Im so glad I did. Its a fantastic environment in which to learn a new language and the sense of community really makes you want to come back for more! Highly recommended.
I. C.
WOW Sara, 72 five-star reviews...you must be doing something right!
I'm adding my five-star review here too.... Battersea Spanish, the owners, tutors and other students have become a part of my life now. As well as improving my Spanish in the classes, I have attended and enjoyed many of the cultural activities offered including film and conversation nights, Hispanic art exhibitions, cooking, flamenco, salsa and tango dancing (tango is my favourite) as well as exciting trips to Costa Rica and Valencia (nom nom Valencianan paella), and, later this year, Mexico.
Of course to learn a language takes time and application but Battersea Spanish and the tutors make it a lot of fun so you bearly notice the hard work and the time flies in the classroom (of course una copita de vino y una tapa or café y galletas help!)
There is a great mix of folk, of all ages, with a common goal...to learn more of the Spanish language while enjoying Hispanic culture. I couldn't recommend this school more highly.
E. Y.
Conveniently located in the Clapham/ Battersea Area just up the road from Clapham Junction Battersea Spanish is without a doubt the best language school I have ever been too and I have been to a few!
I joined Battersea Spanish earlier this year and have now completed 2 semesters of spanish classes (Beginners 3 and Pre-Intermediate 1). In the last year I have found a noticeable improvement in my Spanish. Battersea Spanish isn't just a language school, it's an international family of people wanting to learn, create and have fun. Battersea Spanish has made my London experience complete!!
Gracias Battersea Spanish!!
E. R.
Everyone is super friendly, the resources are great, and you spend most of the class learning to actually speak in Spanish!
k. c.
I have had a great time with Battersea Spanish, everyone is really enthusiastic and the teachers show their great love of Spanish and the culture. The course is well organised taking you through simple steps to get started, and go on, with Spanish and I now understand a lot, there is a great deal of encouragement to listen, to watch and to read Spanish which has helped me. Along way to go yet but at least I am enthused!
Muchas gracias.
A. M.
Great quality, a lot of enthusiasm and commitment and possibly the best value for money you’ll get in London - not to mention a great place to make friends!
I knew they had a good reputation when I registered for a course last semester, but I admit I was taken by storm when I started getting more involved with their classes and events. Their main differentiator in my view, apart from the obvious first-class methods and contents, is the confidence they inspire in their students to communicate in Spanish - this mostly comes from a stimulating class environment and (extremely) dedicated teachers. Expect only the best from these guys!
L. O.
A wonderful school. Very welcoming indeed. Its brilliant that it isnt just about lessons, its about building friendships and a community as well. Our teacher Marina is so patient, funny and kind. We laugh our way through the lessons and I'm amazed by how much I've improved in such a small space of time. I'm currently signing up to the cultural event at the end of the month, as well as signing up to my next course with the 10% discount I've received for recommending a friend.
D. x.
Fantastic place to learn Spanish. The teachers and course materials are excellent and the classes are engaging and fun. I've tried a number of different schools over the years but this is definitely the best!
A. K.
Best Spanish language school in London! And they offer more than just language courses, they cover Spanish and Latin american culture, dance, film and music as well. Highly recommended!
M. F.
Brilliant school which is very welcoming and supportive. The classes are well structured and the teachers are fantastic - from their control of the class to feedback and responses to homework. I've been studying with the school for 18 months and I've always been very impressed with the set-up and my learning of the language with them.
A. C.
I never thought I would actually learn another language, and Battersea Spanish do it in a way that you don't feel like you have you just one day think ”wait a minute I can kinda speak Spanish” and as time goes on the kinda gets less and less and the I can gets more and more. The teachers are great and the students as well, there is huge amounts of things outside of the classroom / homework to also help you learn weather it be events or extra resources the teachers give you.
J. T.
I have been doing conversation classes here for some time now. I really like the combination of structure and fun with (in normal times) cultural events at the school. But I am really impressed by how well they have adapted to on line classes. The technology works well and the material is well prepared and managed in the groups. And of course people can now join from anywhere in the country .
L. Z.
Amazing place! I have been going to Battersea Spanish for 2 years for Spanish lessons and Salsa and I can honestly say it has been brilliant. Great teachers, fun and welcoming environment and plenty of fiestas!
I could not recommend more :)
S. G.
The lessons are really well organised and the teaching is very clear. I have definitely come to the right place to brush up my Spanish. Also I enjoyed the flamenco on the Battersea Barge and will be booking more events as they are informal and a lot of fun. Just the way I remember Cadiz in the 1980s
M. R.
Although never having tried to learn a language in the past Sara at Battersea Spanish was a fantastic (& very patient!) teacher.
The classes were very enjoyable and there was no pressure.
B. D.
Half way through my first term with Battersea Spanish and all the reviews have been spot on. Great learning environment, lots of fun, excellent teachers. Miles ahead of other schools that I have studied in.
Z. M.
This is not just a language school, it is much more than that - book club, movie club, travel club, foodie joint - but most of all, it is the warmest and most welcoming language school in London. More family than school, to be honest, ably directed by the force of nature that is Sara Caba!
Bottom line? You'll love it, whether you stay for a term or a year.
L. M.
Sara and the team always offer a range of courses and events to ensure you have ample opportunity to practice Spanish - whether through talking, dancing or eating! You won't regret coming along!

At Battersea Spanish you can learn at your own pace - without being flung into subjunctives straight away, (ahem, Instituto Cervantes) - but given the opportunities to practise Spanish at the various events you'll want to work hard. Se lo recomiendo [correcto?].

I have just finished my 2nd term with them (Beginners 1 and 2) and I can honestly say it's the best thing I've done in 2016... Classes are a perfect balance of learning and fun :) If you're keen to try Spanish and get involved with some other activities - film nights, flamenco classes etc - then this is the place to do it! Thanks to Sara and her team xx

This is more than a language school, it is a whole growing community! classes are fun, effective and with great teachers, and they organize tons of events to improve your language and knowing a lot of people and cultures! the money you spend is more than worth it. to join immediately!

I've done six terms of classes here and can't recommend enough. It's not a typical classroom atmosphere, instead sat around a large table in an interactive session. Really helpful teachers and a nice atmosphere

Great learning experience! Highly recommend them if you're looking to learn the A-Z of Spanish. Also, kudos to Carlos for being such a good teacher!
