A. R.My children have been at Top Hat for about 3 years now and they love it...I love it! With a variety of dance disciplines and trained, experienced teachers there really is something for everyone. It's inclusive and a happy and productive place to be, with lots of opportunities should you want them.
T. Y.Truly lovely dance school. Run so that everyone is made to feel like part of the Top Hat family. It is one of my little girl's happy places. Staff are lovely and helpful, and made me a non dance mum feel like I could do this! The kids are all supportive of one another, a trait that is fostered in them from the top down. I would truly recommend this place, your kids will love you for it!

Stunning studios with a constant buzz of activity, friendly staff and the most wonderful teachers who bring out the best in the children and give them confidence to fulfil their dreams. The results speak for themselves and the annual show really is spectacular. If you are considering a Dance and Theatre school for your child then you are looking at the right place.
M. M.Where do I start?! Top Hat is like a family. My girls have loved every single minute they have spent at Top Hat so far. I could not recommend this place enough. My daughter joined at a time when she was struggling at school and very shy. Now she is applying and getting call backs from some of the best performing arts colleges in London because the staff especially Miss Julie and Miss Kelly have given her the confidence to do so, by encouraging her and more importantly supporting her. My youngest daughter also attends...and at this point considering sending my son just so that I always have an excuse to be there! Lol! The studios are lovely! And they have a Cafe with the most deliciously cooked food! Amazing teachers and the discipline my girls have learned is something that they can take through life. Lovely school and lovely group of staff, pupils and parents x
T. C.My daughter has been with Top Hat Theatre school from the start and is still with Top Hat. She loves it. The teaching staff are great. The principle Julie has a wealth of experience in all genres that the school offers. There is no question that all students that attend the school gain confidence in the classes. It's not about if you are the best but it's about the taking part and being happy. All children are treated equally. There are of course festivals and competitions for those students that are more advance however if you only want it to be recreational then that's okay too. An annual show in July is always good as all students get a chance to shine in their own way on stage. I would definitely recommend Top Hat Theatre school.

Joely has been with Top Hat since she was 10, she is now now 17 & through the guidance of the most professional, nurturing teachers and principal Julie McKenna has started her next journey at a performing arts college in Leeds studying musical theatre!
The guidance Top Hat has given us throughout the years has been priceless, the opportunities offered to the children are second to none, they really do have the child’s best interests at heart.
I would shout from the roof tops how amazing Top Hat theatre school is if I could!!! We are so thankful to be part of the Tophat family and even though Joely is not longer there they will always be out Tophat family

i. b.Top hat is more than just a performing arts school, it's a family. I joined tophat as a pupil myself 11 years ago and it made me who I am as a person. I went from being the shyest in the room to one of the most confident, and I've had the chance to see so many others flourish and come out of their shells, and that's all thanks to everyone at top hat. The love and support provided by all the the teachers there is so unique, they care for each and every one of their pupils. I could write a book on this place. It will always have a very special place in my heart and there is no better school or teachers for you to trust and take your child to. This place deserves way more than 5 stars 🌟

My daughter moved to Top Hat just over a year ago, (she was ready to give it all in!) but thanks to all the wonderful Top Hat Teachers she has/is evolving into an absolutely beautiful dancer and her confidence for dance and the stage has come on so much! She loves going to Top Hat and calls it her second home because of how friendly it is. All the children are so lovely and friendly, she has made friends that are for life there. I cannot say enough about all the teachers, so friendly, approachable and supportive!! Top Hat have a beautiful ethos and is full of so much talent (teachers and pupils!) she is a lucky girl to be apart of it! Highly Recommend Top Hat!!!
PS the food is amazing too!!! It allows my little girl to be so independent!!
A. S.A fabulous theatre school that has enabled my daughter to gain confidence and achieve high grades in all areas of performing arts, thanks to the hugely talented and experienced principle. All the teachers are wonderful and care about each and every child. My daughter loves this school unlike her previous dance school which she found 'very strict!'
She really feels part of an amazing talented family at Top Hat as do i as a parent.
H. C.My daughter loves her ballet and jazz classes at this school. The price is comparable to other performing arts schools in the area and although their communication is a bit hit and miss, all in all my daughter is very happy, so I'm happy!
C. L.I cannot recommend this theatre school enough. Both my daughters have gained such confidence and experience since starting a number of years ago. Julie the principle and her team of teachers are dedicated, hardworking and have an amazing talent for helping these kids achieve; whether it is their hobby for fun or if they want to ultimately have a career in the industry. It really is a family and we have all made some of our best friends through this wonderful school.

The drama, singing and dance lessons are brilliant and have helped shape my boy in to a lovely young man. From lessons to shows (and not only end of year shows but musical theatre productions! showcases and so much more...) they provide the guidance and support every child needs.
Also organising LAMDA and ISTD dance examinations, and others I’m sure, but there is never any pressure only if you want to.
I can’t express enough how wonderful this place is and to be a part of.

My daughter came here from another dance school and was welcomed with open arms by the principle Julie and all the amazing teachers. The children are nurtured as if they were the there own & its so lovely to know that your kids are in such good hands.The friendships that are being built through performing and learning is so lovely to see develope. My daughter and myself have made lifelong friends from being part of the TopHat Family. The confidence she has gained from being part of Julie Mckenna's TopHat Theatre school is astounding & the skills she is gaining in dance singing and drama are improving so much due to the fabulous teaching ethics and hard work of all involved.
TopHat is awesome & we would be anywhere else.
