The best dentist I've ever used. Dr Kunal Shah is superb, and I look forward to seeing him for my treatment. All the dentistry he has performed on me has been excellent, he is very careful and thoughtful when carrying out his work, and any possible discomfort is kept to an absolute minimum. I've never had any pain during or after any work has been done, even after a tooth extraction! My teeth are in the best shape they've ever been, thanks to Dr Shah. The reception staff are also very friendly and efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. The only downside is due to being so busy, a wait for a normal appointment is quite long, but I don't personally find that an issue.

Seen by Kunal. As always, his treatment was first class and actually makes going to the dentist enjoyable and something to look forward to. The support team are all incredibly helpful and give the practise a very professional atmosphere. They are so good that I managed to convince a dental phobic friend to sign up and she has been equally impressed.

After a long absence due to lockdowns and being cautious around Covid I had an appointment with Kunil Shar. I have to say he was very polite, well mannered and extremely attentive when checking over the condition of my teeth and gums and his professionalism and advice was really reassuring.

Such amazing friendly service. I had a very bad tooth that caused my face to swell. I called and emailed at least 4 dentist and this was the only one that got back to me. Elaine was very helpful and although they couldn't help me at first due to no availability they had a cancellation and Elaine called me to let me know a space was available and i was seen within 20min of her call. Will 100% use these as my local dentist from now. Thank you again.

Have been with this practice for nearly 25 years. Under new management nowadays, but still providing excellent service. Unfortunately I needed to have a tooth extracted last week and Harry did a really good job- very reassuring and I hardly felt a thing. The admin here is always good- patients receive email and text reminders or a phone call if the appointment needs to be changed. Receptionists are polite and friendly. I'm happy to recommend this practice.

Kunal has been my dentist for a number of years now and is the nicest and friendliest dentist you could wish for. His work is second to none and will always take the time to find out what works best for you and deliver a great service. Can’t recommend him enough.

Treatment is fine. My main criticism is that I receive at least two reminders before my appointment ( I understand that people forget) but when I arrive 5 minutes early, I still end up waiting at least 15 minutes after my appointment time before I am summoned. I also understand that you’re busy but a simple acknowledgment or apology for the wait would go a long way but no, it is ignored. Real example: 9.15am appointment, not seen until after 9.30. No apology, just two reminders to tell ME not to be late…Why is there already a knock on delay at 9.15am?

Had my first appointment here yesterday. Signing up was so easy, the receptionist who helped me (Chloe) responded really quickly and was so helpful. Once my appointment arrived, I was seen quickly and Dr Shah and his dental assistant, were really friendly and put my mind at ease. A great experience overall.

Having had reason to visit both for some dental surgery and a trip to the hygienist, I am very pleased. I have been a patient here for a number of years and more recently have noticed how clean, well organised and caring it is as a practice (from my personal experience). Kunal (Dentist) and Zoe (Hygienist) backed up by a cracking group of dental nurses and reception team, have been brilliant. Thank you to them. I appreciate everyone is different but my experience, having read some earlier reviews, has only been positive throughout. Well done to all involved in running a great dental practice.

My wife and I are long standing customers of Bedford Dental Practice and have always rated them highly. Several times over the last 12-24 months they have “gone the extra mile” for us to sort out problems with tooth pain and with emergency repairs to teeth (the latter, partly due to my addiction to toffees!). Today I visited their hygienist and was very impressed with the thorough job that she did and with no discomfort to me. They are very friendly and very professional and we have no hesitation in recommending them to anybody.

Been with this practice for years and can’t fault my dentist Kunal Shar, the receptionist on the other hand are awful. They are rude, unapproachable and certainly not a good first point of contact. Another successful visit , had to have what I thought was a quite complex filling. Once local anaesthetic in I did not feel a thing even with drilling!!!! Filling was for broken tooth and work by Harry was so good you cannot even see where the filling starts compared to tooth , quire remarkable work.

I have been coming to this dental practise for many years. I’m probably not the easiest patient as I’m extremely nervous about having any work done at all!! I have sensitive teeth and in the past I have been hurt by dentists. A few years ago I was having some issues with receding gums so needed to see the hygienist regularly to help me. I couldn’t recommend her enough as she is so calm and gentle and really puts me at ease. Luckily all is a lot better now and I only have to see her yearly. I’m lucky now not to have too many issues but recently I have lost a piece of tooth. My poor dentist knows how nervous I am and has kindly with the help of the practise manager talked me through several options and explained everything. I would definitely recommend coming here, especially if like me you are on the nervous side and need to be calmed a little!! I have always been very happy with the way I and my family have been treated! So thank you to everyone!

I must admit I hate going to the dentist and I get truly nervous even for just a normal check up. After 26 years of uncomfortable visits at different dental surgeries.. I have finally found a dentist and a surgery that makes me feel relaxed. I had the pleasure to meet Fatima and the manager of the practice. I've been visited today and both made me feel at ease and they were so gentle, so kind.. the time flew by and I had a filling and for the first time ever I felt no pain during the procedure and I didn't feel like panicking. They explained the full process all the way through and they tried their best to make me feel comfortable. They fully succeeded! For the first time in 26 years, I finally wasn't uncomfortable and I am not scared of going back in 6 months time for the next check up. I will definitely spread the good news all the way throughout Bedford.. "I have finally found a gentle dentist who cares!" All the members of the staff were super kind with me and my mother. From the receptionist, who is superbly sweet and kind, to all the dentists and nurses that you see passing by. You can breathe a relaxing atmosphere within the surgery and you can really see that they all genuinely care for their patients. I really would like to thank Fatima and the manager for the accuracy and deep gentle care showed today. I will definitely come back more willingly next time. Who knows, I might even start liking going to the dentist!

Saw Rachel today as my filling from years ago fell out. I didn’t have to wait at all for an appointment and they called me in on time. Rachel’s care and attention to my needs were second to none. Have been going to this dentist for a few years now and have always been happy with my dentist Dr Shah. He is very professional and kind, always explains everything and has never caused me pain. Have always found the receptionists to not be as helpful as they could have been! Went today and the reception was very different. Was greeted by a lovely lady, I believe her name was Rosheena, who was polite, friendly and jolly! The other young lady on reception was very helpful when it came to booking another appointment after the visit(I didn't get her name but she was lovely) i know quite a few people who use this practice and have never heard anything bad about the service provided by the dentists. I have been using this dentist for 10yrs now. I have issues with anxiety when it comes to needles and am prone to passing out with them. I always get looked after and cared for above and beyond the normal standards I have had from anywhere else. Had a tooth removed today and my dentist took the time to go slow with the injections and extraction to make sure I never fainted. The proceedure was over before I knew it and and I was fine through the whole thing due to the above standard care this practice provides

I am a regular customer and recently had an appointment with the hygienist who was really considerate, kind and very gentle when cleaning my teeth, she was very mindful of any sensitive areas and recommended products to use for sensitive teeth, these were not sold by the dentist practice so she was only recommending. I had the same hygienist clean my teeth three years previously and her standards are excellent. My self and my children also see the dentist here and have always been treated very well. I highly recommend this practice.

Have now been to Bedford Dental Practise several times without hesitation after years of uncomfortable experiences at other practises. In my time here, I have been seen by two dentists and the hygienist. All put you at ease, constantly check you are ok, and make the experience as quick and as painless as possible. My dentist is now Dr Kunal Shah and he really takes his time to ensure you feel comfortable and provides you with all of the information you could wish to know. I have recently had some extensive work, and every procedure was handled with care, professionalism and high quality. The reception team are friendly and welcoming and help you with urgent appointments too. The hygienist is thorough and provides you with advice to maintain a healthy mouth. After years of missing dentist appointments and feeling anxious beforehand, I now enjoy my appointments. This facility also has a car park with plenty of spaces. Would highly recommend.

Came in for a 6 month check up this week, and I must say, was fantastic, from the moment I stepped in I felt welcomed and the receptionist was so polite, and welcoming, was a nice change from other places, where receptionists can often not be so warm. I spoke to who I thought was the head nurse until I realised she was the manager, Rosheen, she was a breath of fresh air, clearly a very capable young woman and although she told me she was new she did not hesitate with anything. I will certainly be returning and recommending thank you so much for a pleasant experience.

I recently had a lot of work done here, the service is very friendly and efficient, the dentist's are very friendly and helpful, the reception staff even though incredibly busy are attentive and helpful! I would recommend going if possible during the day as after school and early mornings can be busy. Only issue really is that they are so busy it's hard to get through at times on the phone and online booking Online booking is great though and so much more efficient than phoning and waiting

I was quite nervous about today's visit because my gag reflex is so intense that it makes it rather difficult for any dentist to do their job. However I was warmly greeted by Amrita Singh Jaiswal, who I haven't had before. She was extremely professional and friendly and managed to adapt the examination as a result of my troublesome reflex to ease the process. In the same examination, a new manager for me, Roisin was present and assisting the dentist with one of those water vacuum things. She is a very bubbly friendly and happy person who made the whole experience relaxed and she keeps you smiling, which helps the dentist get a better look at your teeth too😁 Haven't been for 2 years due to my embarassing gag reflex and today's visit has helped me regain that confidence about something I cannot control. If you're nervous about visiting, this is the place to go. They'll help you through any concerns. Thank you to all the staff for making a dentist appointment genuinely enjoyable and relaxed.

Saw Dr Kumal Shah and his nurse Alisha today Friday 15th March with my 8 year old daughter. My daughter came out of school her loose tooth hurting and bleeding. Spoke to reception team who told us to bring her to the practice. Dr Shah and Alisha made my daughter feel at ease. Talking to her and explaining what was gonna happen and giving her time. I went along to the fun day on Saturday with my niece and I can honestly say that I learnt a lot of really useful tips. The face painting in a dental chair was an excellent idea!!! As with all things medical or dental whether you are a NHS patient seeing a Private practice I find as a OAP on a small pension it is financially hard to attend this practice as with other practices as the costs are so high, . This practice when I can afford to attend I find the staff very accommodating, kind and gentle, and the Dentist very caring, if the rates were lower I could afford to attend on a more regular basis, and have really white teeth to be proud of.
