S. M.I visited this practice not as a patient but as a visiting dentist with no affiliation to the practice. The practice owner had invited me to the practice to refresh my knowledge as I have been out of clinical dentistry for several years. I was hugely impressed by the practice and how well they looked after their patients. Everything appeared very clean and well organised. Communication with patients was thorough, leaving them well informed. I saw several crowns and bridges fitted which were very well colour matched and looked natural. Materials, equipment and procedures were up to date with latest clinical trends. I would definitely go there to have my own teeth treated and the practice owner, Dr O'Neill appeared to be passionate about providing good dentistry and had a calming manner. Reception staff were equally lovely and the decor was modern and welcoming .
R. M.I had never been to this dental practice before. I was in so much pain. I called for an emergency appointment , and they made a space for me today. I cannot thank Jo enough receptionist for being so kind to me when I arrived and the care and empathy she gave, because she could feel I was in agony. I went into dentist room. Andy 's practice. His professionalism was second to none. He explained everything he was doing and he did a fantastic job to sort out my problem and put me out of the pain I was suffering. And his lovely assistant tisnawas great and helped me wipe away my tears. I think this surgery is just the best and now I know I can trust the lovely team to make space to help and care and I came out smiling

W. T.Naomi did a brilliant job cleaning and restoring the shine to my 1950s dentistry era teeth. Informative and friendly - a relaxing experience for those of us who experienced pulley drills in the 50s. Andy's previous work has kept my teeth in great condition considering the amount of amalgam involved. Excellent advice to maintain the status quo.

I used to fear visiting the dentist, but under their care (plus advice), I am much more comfortable and as a bonus, my teeth & gums are much healthier than they used to be!

R. F.I AM PETRIFIED OF DENTISTS.
I have had 4 initial consultations with 4 other dentists in the area as I am extremely nervous at dentists. It stems back to my childhood but i have procrastinated from having work done and have spent 6 months trying to find the right practise with people I feel comfortable around.
Springfield Dental is my choice. Have had to have 3 appointments in 3 days to sort a root canal procedure out. Andy and his lovely wife Unity made me feel completely calm and completed the procedure pain free.
I have never felt as comfortable with a dentist as I do with the team at Springfield.
I even received a call personally from Andy the day after to check I was okay - something I've never experienced before.
I will continue to use this surgery even if I move out of area.

E. M.I’ve just been to this practice for air flow treatment for my wedding, the surgery was lovely, staff were welcoming, kind ,friendly and reassuring. I can’t express how over the moon I am with the stunning results achieved! My teeth look literally better than they ever have done and feel so clinically clean.Massively recommend Springfield road dental surgery and also air flow! Thank you all so much!
E. W.Autism Friendly and Child Friendly
I am an autistic adult and because of my sensitivity to high pitch sounds I have found that the manual scrape and polish very uncomfortable because of the noise. I was extremely impressed with the Guided Biofilm Therapy; the reduction in the high pitch noise is over 80% compared with the manual scrape and polish in fact the saliva vacuum was noiser than the Guided Biofilm Therapy.
Abbie and Charlotte were very reassuring explaining what was happening in a calm manner, Abbie warned me that she would need to use a bright light to perform the Guided Biofilm Therapy and gave me orange glasses to wear so that the bright lights didn't distress me, again this is helpful for people with autism who are light sensitive. The last stage of the Guided Biofilm Therapy was slightly noiser than the other stages and Abbie warned me of this was that I was able to prepare.
All of the staff were very child friendly, I took my 3 year old who had never been to the dentist before, Abbie and Charlotte made her feel relaxed and welcomed with the giant toothbrushes for her to play with, she was also intrigued when Abbie took photographs of my teeth and put them on the TV this made my daughter feel a part of the procedure. After my treatment my daughter had a go in the chair and was happy to show Abbie and Charlotte her teeth. She is now looking forward to her next dental hygienist appointment!
My experience of Springfield Road Dental Practice was very positive as an autistic adult, the practice has lots of natural light which is a bonus as there isn't much glaring artificial light. The reception area is spacious and quiet which helps to reduce anxiety. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly which made me feel calm. The practice did not feel like a dentist surgery at all, it felt tranquil not clinical, there was no overwhelming clinical smells it was a calming and positive experience.
I really believe that if you are struggling to attend an dental practice because of autism I feel that Springfield Road Dental Practice will happily accommodate an autism friendly experience, like they did for me! 😁 Thank you

J. K.It is with great pleasure I can highly recommend Springfield road for all your toothy needs. I have avoided the dentists for years (10ish) after previous bad experiences 😅. I heard of the practice from a friend (who's teeth are amazing) and as I've been having problems and thought it was time to face the fear of the dentists. From the moment you walk into the practice you feel calm and easy as its very light, airy and spacious (it also smells really nice). The reception team are very warm, welcoming and helpful. I felt at ease during everything, as the communication was fantastic, it didn't hurt (phew!) And I must say my smile is noticable brighter. We now have a plan to turn around the years of neglect, and I look forward to my next tooth adventure. Big shout out to Abigail whitney (hygienist) who is nothing short of a tooth wizard.
