740 Dental were recommended to me by my mother in law. At the time I had 2 badly cracked & broken teeth, extremely sensitive and I thought I would need to have removed or crowned. Richard explained the approach they take to preserving and reconstructing teeth. I now have all of my own teeth, no crowns, no extractions and even better, the sensitivity is gone. Both my children now see Richard & Marzena and they are so relaxed about having their appointments. All round, the best dental experience I have ever had.

Well where do I begin. I have Health Anxiety which for some reason ended up spiralling out to the dentist meaning I hadn’t been for 5 odd years. I’d been so keen to go but just too terrified of being told the worst news. So I did some research and found 740 who I read all the reviews (hence writing one myself) as if I hadn’t read any I may still be in the same position. I stumbled up the courage and had a new patient exam I cried a lot with worry and fear before going but from the moment I stepped in the receptionists we’re just lovely. I was assigned Richard as my dentist and he is so very Patient with me. I have had my initial exam and was given my dental plan which I’ve already started. I saw a wonderful hygienist (I can’t remember name as was so nervous) and today I had a root canal which I worked myself up so much for I was shaking! Richard and his dental nurse were incredible they made me feel so at ease and Richard was so gentle I didn’t even feel the numbing injections going in AT ALL (all 3 of them) I couldn’t believe it once it was done! All of that worry. I have an extraction next also and bit worried as it’s just an anxiety I have but I’m so reassured now Richard won’t let anything hurt! If you have dental anxiety get yourself to 740 I’m so so relieved I can now begin my journey to Invisalign and white teeth

I have been a patient of Richard Halderthay for 20 years. He is a lovely person and also an excellent dentist. Whenever there is something serious to be done to my ever troubling teeth he talks me through the possible downsides but then he always does a fantastic job and I am always really grateful for the outcome and there are no downsides, or pain. After a check up and a clean I was ready to have a root canal After passing out on a previous root canal I was more than impressed with Richard at 740 I did not feel a thing and the whole process was very relaxed and I would recommend this practice especially Richard to anyone . This morning I have had two fillings and a crown, I must admit I wasn't particularly looking forward to my visit to the dentist, who does? After a lifetime (I am 77years old), of being scared of the dentist and not going unless I really, really had to, I am so pleased that a friend recommended me to 740. I had such a warm welcome from Angela and was put at ease straight away. Everyone is very professional but at the same time there are so many smiles from staff and patients. I have just been back for my second visit and I was actually looking forward to going. I don’t know what it is but you seem to be sprinkled with ‘happy dust” as you walk in. Since having a previous very bad experience at another dental practice, I have been extremely anxious about going somewhere and finding someone who can help me have the smile I want... Let me start With Debbie the receptionist. Wow! Thank god Debbie answered the phone to me. I must have called between 20-30 dental practices and not one of them compares to Debbie's customer service! Soo welcoming, patient, kind and very experienced! Although the practice is just over an hours drive from me it is so so worth it! And even if I moved another hour away I'd still make the journey to them! Someone give this lady a payrise! I must have called Debbie up another 3 times before I decided to go with 740 Dental, Debbie didn't get fed up once. I honestly could not reccomend 740 Dental highly enough. I am a really anxious patient as I've had horrible experiences in the past, which ended with me not going to the dentist for 10 years! Last year I decided to face my fears and came here, and I am so glad that I did. I got sedation for a filling last year, and today have just had a filling with no sedation, which I never thought I'd be able to do! It was a GREAT experience with absolutely no pain at all. Previously I used to break down crying in a filling! Richard, who I went to, really took the time to listen to my fears, and with loads of patience helped me through the process. If you really hate and fear the dentist, please please book an appointment here and you WILL be able to get over them. The cost is a lot more than NHS, but honestly - it is seriously worth every penny in my opinion. Their reception staff are also super lovely too! Thank you 740, I am so grateful.

I can't say how happy I am to recommend 740 Dental. After over 10 years of dentistry abroad, recent experiences brought me back to the UK and to the best Dental Surgery. They are technologically advanced with pain free anesthesia and outstanding design and production of crowns. The staff from the Reception Staff to medical staff are both professional and kind. My Surgeons Sharon and Andrew are by far the most genuinely lovely and caring people who treat everyone with respect and involve you in decisions. I cant recommend this surgery enough. I found it by chance and it was the best find i have ever made .

I visited the practice today to register as a new patient & having previously used the direct access service for hygienist visits at 740 I always found the staff so friendly and welcoming. At my visit today I saw Richard who I was personally recommended to along with his nurse Emma and I was instantly put at ease and made to feel very welcome. After my examination Richard explained everything to me and answered any questions and I felt the examination was very thorough and I loved the camera that showed up on the screen of pictures of my teeth-rather cool! I then went on to see the hygienist Carly and had a clean and then the air flow polisher which is something every person should experience- again Carly was very informative, friendly and I’d highly recommend seeing her.

From the first point of contact at 740 dental with my treatment coordinator Milly, who I feel went above and beyond to answer my endless questions and made me feel very comfortable with the treatment options and the options being within my budget, to then having the communication with the dentist Andrew, we discussed the options in a free consultation and he took x-rays and photographs of the area in my mouth so that I could have as much knowledge on the procedures as possible, what a lovely team. I believe that your smile is a huge confidence booster, and knowing that I’ll be in safe hands is a huge relief, which means I’ll have the smile I want for my wedding day. ** UPDATE**I went to 740 Dental after reading the wonderful reviews online and initially my contact was to enquire about Invisalign. Unfortunately I had some serious underlying issues and I went through some fairly traumatic times as I had to lose some teeth. No matter how old you are it is scary but I am writing this review at the end of my treatment but not at the end of my time with 740. My teeth are now straight. My gums are healthy. My confidence is such that I now have a new job and my dream of being a personal trainer is on the horizon too. James and Lisa have held my hand throughout ...All decisions made along the way were discussed with empathy and I never felt rushed, only supported. I actually looked forward to going and feeling the warm welcome and familiarity from all the staff.. This, I feel, is what makes 740 unique. I recently visited Megan via the direct access service for a hygiene appointment and an air flow polish which is something I had at my previous practice. I am a difficult patient. I experience high levels of anxiety when in the dentist chair. I have been a patient at many dentists throughout my life and this one is definitely the best ever. I am nearly 60 now and have been with this dental practice since I was at school, was so sad to see Ken Griffiths retire, as were my children, my eldest.has found him again and gone back to him, she is 31 now!!! I met Jill today as a new hygienist and she was just the best!!! From start to finish I have received excellent service at 740 , my treatment coordinator Sarah talked me through the process and options as well as helped me with the paperwork for the payment scheme for my full treatment. I had been recommended Andrew Prynne by a friend and I was not disappontmed he was engaging and made me feel as if I was part of the team in the process of my treatment. I had a a fractured root canel so needed a new tooth !!! Andrew talked me through options, the pros and cons of them all with great patience and attention to detail. I chose to have an implant and whilst at it, changed a crown a couple of discoloured fillings and had cosmetic whitening. I have found the whole team to be polite and helpful, Megan did my whitening and was fabulous in her advice. Andrews dental Nurse Becky was always there with advice re colour matching and great at her job , the technician making my implant and crown came to meet me so could look at my teeth, mouth etc so he could visualise the job and the reception team were always helpful and welcoming. I would have no hesitation to recommend Andrew to any adult of child who has an issue with the dentist, I had to have some serious dentistry and at all times felt in very safe professional hands. It's just a shame that the part where you have to lay back and open your mouth isn't such a pleasant experience on all occasions! I went as an emergency just before Christmas, had a canine extraction. After being numbed I could still feel everything. It took over an hour and it was hell, I could'not have sedation because it was short notice. However Richard did manage to get it out. And after a few hours my whole jaw swelled up for about a week. Still Richard got it out. Will I go back NO. It was the most painful extraction I've ever had in my life. False claim. It was very painful and Ive still got the photograph of the swelling it felt like my jaw was broken.

I wasn't keen and couldn't afford orthodontics to reduce a gap between my front teeth. My dentist, Dr O'Regan, suggested direct bonding composite (white fillings) to bridge the gap. The procedure was so quick, painless (no injections) and I am over the moon with the results. The attention to detail is phenomenal and the finish is very natural. I would definitely recommend! 740 dental is the best dental practice in the area by a long way. Yes it's expensive, and i'm aware that there are plenty of cheaper practices around however in my opinion you get what you pay for. Personally i'd rather pay a little more to know that I'm getting a quality treatment and know that the dentist is doing what is best for me rather than taking a short cut/ the easy option. I always see Angela for dental and Kate for hygiene apps and they are both worth their weight in gold. I actually like going to the dentist now and my teeth are in a much better condition since I started coming to 740 dental. I'm sure in the long run it's actually cheaper as less work needs doing. I hardly ever need a filling nowadays. Thank you Angela & Kate.

Root canal work is meant to be the worst thing that can happen to you at a dentist but Richard Halderthay ensured that my experience was entirely pain free. Over the course of two appointments the pain from the infection was removed and then the root canals were carefully filled and then covered with a filling. He followed up the first appointment with a phone call to ensure everything was going well and took inordinate pride in doing a first rate job. I don’t recommend a tooth abscess but I do recommend Dr. Halderthay.

Years of neglect, recreational peccadilloes, smoking, tooth grinding and insomnia had left my teeth looking like a bit of a shambles. I could have gone to my ex-dental hygienist, but it always hurt too much and she used to tell me off. Instead I came here, to 740 dental, saw Megan for a clean and polish and left some 40 minutes later beaming. I'm still beaming now. She was fast, efficient, understanding, smiley and it didn't hurt. The rest of the place is buoyant and the staff seem splendid. You should go here, honest.

Many years ago, on the first occasion that Richard had to do any potentially painful work on my teeth, I told him that he could do anything he liked inside my mouth so long as I didn't feel any pain. It was a particularly tricky job but to my surprise I felt no pain at all and the painless experience has continued to this day!

They are totally professional in all respects and invest in the latest technology and equipment: it is clear that they really do care about their patients. I have recently had cause to have several procedures (not something anyone enjoys!) but James Coupe and all the staff ensured that it was as pain-free and stress-free as possible. I'm a scaredy cat 🐱 when it comes to dental work. Having had a handful of unfortunate events in the past. Very luckily for me, I found Andrew Prynne, who inspired trust and confidence, which calmed me down, what a relief! I recently tried a new anaesthetic injection called The Sleeper, that made the whole thing much easier. It only numbs the tooth area and not the face. No more undignified dribbling over coffee! Hah. Really good.

My goodness, the front desk team, particularly Carolyne and Lorraine, put you at ease as you walk in, and even after paying you walk out with a spring in your step. Front desk teams often get overlooked in highly technical practices such as this, but they are an essential service who pave the way for the hotshots at the rear who are the ones that pick up the Oscars. Best dentis I have even seen I saw Sharon Halderthay for an emergency appointment they saw me in less then 24 hours where with my other dentis I was waiting 3 months so the problem got a lot worst but Sharon sorted the problem out and explained everything she was doing best dentis I have ever seen :) the receptionist were welcoming as well
