I have been going to this dentist for years - including prior to it becoming Smile Stories. Jayne the hygienist is so lovely and always puts me at ease as teeth cleaning makes me very nervous. I then decided to have my teeth straightened and Zak did this for me. I’m so happy with the end result. Makes me feel so much more confident to have nice, white straight teeth. Thank you Zak. The dentist surgery has now changed to Smile Stories and the staff are so friendly and helpful. You are met by friendly happy reception staff as soon as you arrive. Thanks all for making coming to the dentist not such a nerve racking experience.

I’ve started my composite bonding journey with smile stories, the whole team are so welcoming from the very moment you step in you’re greeted with nothing but smiles and good chat. Tash and Tom are absolutely amazing I couldn’t recommend them enough they are hilarious and make the time I’m in there go so quick (which I have never experienced before with a dentist.) They make you feel appreciated as they ask you questions about your life and take the time to get to know you. Where do I start! For as long as I can remember I have been embarrassed of my teeth. I have avoided smiling in photos, always felt like people were looking at my teeth when talking, and generally just put up with my ‘smile’. In 2021 with my wedding on the horizon I decided that it was time to make a change so that I could smile with pride on my wedding day….and every other day after. When deciding where to go there were a few local recommendations, but the team at Smile Stories were so friendly and attentive from my first interaction with them that it felt like a perfect fit. From booking an appointment, to discussing my dream smile and making a plan on how to get there, the dedication and genuine passion for what the team do is second to none. Not once did I feel like a was sat in a stuffy waiting room or that the dentist wasn’t listening to what I was saying. The care and detail that the guys have to make sure you as the client are happy is so endearing and settles any nerves straight away. No question is silly, and the reassurance is comforting, I would never trust anyone else with my smile. A massive thank you goes to Zak and Tash as they have - quite literally - held my hand through my journey. Although I am just over half way through my treatment plan, I know that they will be the guys I go to from now on. The fun and passion that they have for what they do is contagious, and I don’t ever doubt that they don’t have my best interests at heart. From Zak’s voice note messages, to squeezing me in for last minute appointments because they want to make sure everything is perfect, it makes you as the client feel more like a friend. When you are busy working fully time the ease of contact through WhatsApp is beyond convenient! They really do go that extra mile. “Literally the best thing I’ve ever done” may be a overused phrase these days, but certainly not in this case. After having train-track braces as a child, being a typical teenager I didn’t wear my retainer my teeth moved back to square one. My journey with Smile has been different to most I suspect and the outcome has been life changing. As part of my initial assessment I told Gareth about the extreme pain in my jaw/ear, which I have experienced for years and at times is totally debilitating.Gareth then suggested that he made a special retainer to sleep in, in the hope that it may provide pain relief and relax muscles around the area. For the first time in 20+ years I am pain free ! I have been through every medical scan you can imagine without success. So , if you have chronic pain like I did , they may have a solution for you . I am no longer living on pain killers and am able to enjoy eating food I could never of dreamt of before. I have had Invisalign, whitening and bonding with Gareth. From start to finish everyone has been so friendly and helpful, both in person at the practice and on the phone. They are super responsive on WhatsApp for any questions I have had, no matter how stupid! My teeth are so straight and white, better than I expected they could of be. I was really worried that bonding would make my teeth look fake, like you see on tv, but they look super natural but perfect!! Everyone compliments them now. I was absolutely petrified of going to the dentist due to a childhood school dentist. I always got sedated due to the fear of it all. Having moved to Bournemouth I could not have sedation, so had to stay awake and worst of all have an extraction. Well after having worked myself up into a terrible state I went for my appointment today. During the lead up to today the girls in the office have been brilliant, keeping me updated. On arrival I was met by Harry my smiling dentist There were 2 lovely girls assisting Harry. They all chatted with me to relax me, they never rushed me . I put on my headphones with relaxation techniques. I could stop anytime I wanted to, which I did. The girls held my hand aswell. Harry was brilliant he is so patient and understanding, and honestly before I knew it the tooth was out. Never felt a thing, not even the injections. Twelve months of working from home and staring at my misshapen/uneven teeth on Teams calls led me, after quite a bit of research, to an initial consultation with Zak at Smile Stories. Years of not-great dentistry as a child had left me verging on phobic, so it was a big thing to commit to nearly 6 months of remedial and the longed-for cosmetic dentistry. This included a root canal (which Zak and Tash were clever enough not to refer to as a root canal until it had been done!!). As other reviewers have said the whole team is welcoming and friendly and most importantly, kind; while the practice environment puts you at ease. Every step of the process is communicated clearly and fully, and costs are explained up front with no nasty surprises along the way. The approach couples state-of -the art technology with a very customer-focussed delivery. Zak and Tash are clearly passionate about what they do and are as excited for the end results as I was. And the end results? Fantastic. Having had composite bonding top and bottom it has given me a white, even and natural looking smile. It really is a revelation. But if anyone is similarly terrified (to the point of crying at the thought of needles) this is the person who had their final all-morning appointment thinking "I cant wait for the results AND I can finish watching that Netflix series" (TV above clients chair). I have wanted to correct my teeth for more than 15years but as an adult having braces it's a serious commitment, not just financially and something else has always taken priority. In August I decided the time was right, I did some research on invisalign and Smile Stories came up on my search. I had the Invisalign treatment and couldn’t be happier with the final results. Firstly, I had a consultation with Dr Gareth as my teeth had always been an area that bothered me. I lacked confidence when meeting new people, work meetings and having my photo taken. I wasn’t able to smile with my mouth open as my teeth weren’t visible. Dr Gareth took a scan of my teeth and made a video to see how they’d look. Once viewing the video, it was an easy decision to go ahead with the treatment. The actually building looks cool too, not your normal clinical healthcare setting - as an interior designer I can vouch that their decor is on point! Such a positive experience- I'll be sad when my Invisalign treatment is over. I started my treatment via zoom, which was great as I didn't feel obligated initially, but once I spoke with Dr Gareth I was sure I wanted to go ahead. Liasing with surgery manager Hannah has been fantastic, she is always able to answer all my queries, replies promptly and is so kind and friendly. I enjoy every visit as I feel like a valued patient. I was put at ease straight away at my first visit and each appointment thereafter is relaxed but still professional. Timescales are discussed and updated, so expectations are managed and opportunities to voice any concerns are always available. I don't think I can fault anything. Where do i begin? My mouth was a tragic sight when i first went to see Gareth & his team. Gareth went through everything that needed work and explained the entire journey, the situation in its rawest form and gave me his honest professional opinion at all times. My gum health wasn't great due to the overcrowding in my mouth, but Zac recommended delaying treatment until my gum health improved. Genuinely blown away by these guys. I must admit that I found it strange I didn’t really have one dentist at first, but now I totally get it. Being with an NHS dentist for years I was used to an in and out in 5 minutes job. That was my checkup scale and polish (apprentently). Here it’s so thorough, so much so the check up was done in 3 parts so the guys could chat amongst themselves to make sure they did their best for me. Harry changed a few amalgam fillings from 10 years ago into some white ones which actually look like my teeth again. I always assumed that NHS and private dentists just did the same thing - they definitely don’t and you get what you pay for. Tash was my hygienist and didn’t hurt me! I’m yet to start my Invisalign with Gareth yet but so far it’s been flawless. You really get the best man (or woman!) for the job, everyone knows what’s going on at all times and I’ll update once my teeth are looking straight!

Before I went to Zak and Tash, I had a huge fear of the dentist. I was so unhappy with the appearance of my teeth I didn't like smiling when I met new people and would find myself covering my mouth, and was told nothing can be done by previous dentists. I was scared to go to any dentist for a long time due to some horrible experiences in my childhood with horrible dentists however Zak has taken his time sat me down and made me feel that I am involved in my treatment so I took the plunge ....and RESULT...Zack keeps performing dental miracles on my poor teeth with minimum to no pain and a smile, today he saved a grinder that was more than half-eaten and infected which I am sure any other dentist would have given up on, I know I did even though it would have made my life much harder BUT NO after 1 hour of painstaking cleaning and reconstruction (wearing that awful hazmat sure made it even harder)RESULT I can chew on the right side and all thanks to Zak, can not recommend enough.
