Ori has been my private dentist since 2015, where I found Wallisdown Dental Surgery on a Groupon deal for orthodontic braces. I had terrible teeth in my late teens, not eligible for NHS treatment, which were overcrowded and then in my early 20s I had an impacted canine that was emerging out of the roof of my mouth! Ori provided a treatment plan, which started with cutting into the gum on the roof of my mouth to attach a brace to the canine, slowly pulling it across into the correct position. He then reshaped my upper and lower teeth as they slowly shifted over the course of nearly two years, so they could fit into more correct bite. It was quite a tough project that actually ran over the allotted timescale. It was not a simple cosmetic job, but due to my age and circumstances I was given a competitive price with a further reduction. Even though I had my braces on a few extra months I did not pay anything for those further appointments. To speak for the environment and experience of the practice; it's tidy and clean, the equipment seems to all be the latest and greatest stuff although I'm not expert. The staff at the front desk and nurses are always polite and courteous. The only gripe is no private parking, and finding a parking spot on the road outside can be difficult, although there are places to park a short walk away. To speak for the quality of workmanship; Ori has a calm demeanour, always polite and professional. It's all quite clinical as you would expect but not too serious, he just gets on with the job and doesn't want to chat too much, you get the feeling it's just another day in the office, has seen it all before and is confident which is good. Never feels rushed. He is rather meticulous and precise with his array of sharp and scary looking dental instruments, and tries to put you in the minimal amount of discomfort. Very delicate and gentle. I imagine he would be good with kids. To speak for price; I am not an expert here either but I always do some looking around as would anyone. It seems based on websites on google, you can find prices for certain treatments that appear to be cheaper however they may sometimes be inferior treatments at a lower price point which is not clear in their advertising. In other cases, the price that portion of the treatment may have been advertised as cheaper, but after adding in all the appointments, scans and xrays works out to be a similar so it seems things are competitively priced, leaning towards the higher end. Of course you can always go abroad and get it done cheap, but everyone knows the horror stories. There are no easy return visits, you don't know the quality of the materials used and the regulatory bodies may not be as strict as the UK. I believed it to be better to get it done locally and have not regretted it. Before I had this treatment, I had issues with confidence and self esteem, my teeth were so bad before treatment I believed others would think I was a drug addict or otherwise. It's not overstatement that it changed how people looked at and treated me drastically. I have even had partners I know would not have taken a second look at me! The pain, discomfort and wait was worth it. The result was so substantial, family and friends commented that it had even changed the structure of my face. My upper over bite and lip had retracted slightly, and my even lower jawline/chin became more defined as it retracted also. It changed my life for the better on an every day basis, and feel like it improved my interactions and relationships with people in ways I probably take for granted now. So there you go this is a review long overdue after 7 years. An in-depth, long term insight into getting orthodontic treatment from someone that lived through it for 2 years and lived with the results for 5 and many more to come. It's worth every single penny, even more so the younger you are. For me, it skyrocketed my confidence, allowed a healthy change in my personality and world view, which has a positive ripple effect through my life. Thank you Wallisdown Dental Team

I cannot thank Ori enough! I have wanted to straighten my teeth since I was younger - they were free then, but back then the braces were embarrassing so I chickened out - biggest regret ever! As I got older, I looked at different braces options, but I could never afford the minimum of 2,5k. I found a groupon deal with Wallisdown dental, braces were affordable! At first I was very sceptical, but I called to enquire. When I went and met Ori, I asked him why they were so much cheaper than everywhere else. He told me it is because he is passionate about helping people have nice smiles so he charges as little as possible to do so. The white braces are barely visible and they aren't painful at all. I had them fitted in August and in mid-February, I will have them removed - my teeth are straight! I highly recommend this practice! Without Ori and his team, I would not have been able to afford to have my teeth straightened and I am extremely grateful! Thank you!

The process was very simple and took as little as 6 months to straighten my teeth. I have a fixed trainer to keep my teeth straight and also had composite bonding on my teeth for better results. Great surgery the staff are very helpful and friendly. I had a general check up, x-ray and I will be having a follow up appointment with a hygienist and whitening. Everything was explained clearly, they kindly arranged mine and my husband's appointments together. The reception is very cosy and clean. As much as going to the dentist is not necessarily a pleasant experience, I found it to be a comfortable one!

This is by far the best dental surgery I have ever been to! I have always had what I thought was a fear of dentists, but I don’t! I was just going to the wrong dentists. I’ve had 5 appointments in the last 4 weeks (2 hygienist appointments and veneer prep and fitting, as well as professional whitening) and every single time I’ve been treated so well, the receptionists, the dental nurses, the hygienist and Dr Michaeli himself are all so lovely and I’ve been made to feel so comfortable. I left it a long time visiting a dentist after a bad experience at an NHS dentist before, but I’ve been made to feel so comfortable here. I have had no pain whatsoever and I am extremely happy with the service I’ve received. I have been talked through my procedures each time and have never felt rushed. I would 100 percent recommend this practice to anyone, but especially people who may be nervous of the dentist as they are an extremely friendly and reassuring team! Had my braces fixed 5 years ago best thing I ever did, Ori is brilliant, and definitely knows what’s best for you! I had to go back because my fitted retainer broke (my fault). Ori and his team are amazing, he tells you exactly what the problem is what needs to be done and does it there an then! After searching through many dentists to find a practice that felt right for me, I finally found Wallisdown Dental Surgery. I am so grateful to Dr Michaeli for his amazing knowledge of dentistry and his attention to detail as well as making me feel safe and secure and that the treatment was right for me. In other dentistal surgeries I was told I would need to get veneers and other very expensive treatments to achieve what I wanted with my teeth, but Dr Michaeli told me I should not need veneers at all! And he could achieve the same look at a much lower price. I could barely wait to start treatment with this dental practice after the first initial consultation. The receptionists and dental nurses are also extremely happy to help and in the past have asked other patients to switch appointments to try and get the best time for me! Selected Wallisdown Dental Surgery as my dental practice in 2020 under the care of Dr Ori Michaeli & oral hygienist Vicky Gurd. Vicky is just fantastic and has done a great job improving & maintaining my oral health and Ori is very knowledgeable and as gentle as possible. I undertook comprehensive orthodontic treatment of my upper and lower bridges over a 10 month period with Ori and am happy with the treatment, care and results. The surgery does require payment in advance for all treatments, sometimes several months in advance, which creates a problem for dental insurance claims that can only be submitted after the treatment has been completed. However, I have found the pricing competitive and the reception staff to be helpful and cooperative in providing the appropriate itemised receipts once treatment has been completed. I can happily recommend Wallisdown Dental Surgery for anyone looking for a good local dental practice with experienced and caring staff.
