Reviews of Brighton Dental Centre

I went to this practice and the reception was very friendly. The dentist (Dr Daniel Marquez) was very professional and made a thorough examination including an x-ray of my teeth. The assessment took about half an hour and he gave me an in depth explanation of what was causing pain in my tooth. I am coming back for further treatment.l must admit I am very satisfied with the quality of service.

Been using this dental practice for years and always had excellent treatment. My dentistry history has always been complicated but I must praise Donna, the receptionist I have been dealing with, not just for my current problem but all previous issues.. Always kind and empathic and has worked tirelessly to fit me in at short notice. Would recommend the practice unreservedly. Donna is an asset To the practice.

Caroline cleaned my teeth recently and it felt amazing. She's so gentle and thorough, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Great experience!! I am a very nervous patient and it is honestly an amazing dental practice with a lovely and caring staff. I needed a Root Canal Treatment to be done over the lockdown.
Dr. Daniel Marquez did a comprehensive dental exam and did all the treatment that l needed on my best interest discussing all the possible option for me. I felt I was in good hands. Great environment, lovely recepcionist team too. I lighly recomend this Dental practice if you really want to keep smiling :)
The dentist and his nurse were very professional always looking in my best interest and giving me lots of breaks in the middle of the treatment reassuring me making me feel at ease.

I am so scared of the dentist... but had a great experience with Daniel Marquezin the chair today. He has really put my mind at ease and helped me the best way he can for a big procedure I have due.
I'd like to say thank you 🙌

Daniel is the best dentist I've ever seen . Really can't thank him enough.

The only practice I could secure an emergency appointment while being unregistered, that I could easily get to in Brighton. Reception were friendly and helpful, the dentist that saw me was patient and fitted me in for an extraction there and then, making me feel at ease during the whole procedure (I'm very anxious). They were very thorough with my after care instructions and sat down with me to carefully go over the costs for my treatment while being friendly throughout.
I only have good things to say, thank you so much!

Genuinely the best dentist practice I have ever visited. My dentist is fantastic and made replacing some problematic fillings as good as such an experience could be. I would keep visiting her even if I ever move out of Brighton. I have just come back from the hygienist who was also top notch.

BDC has been my dentist for a few years now.
Although I have at times found exactly the same about the reception staff - nonchalant at best and downright rude and miserable at worst - I think there may have been a change of guard as they have been much nicer and more approachable on my last few visits.
Despite this I have to say that both dentists (Stan and Izzy), their assistants and the hygienist (Daniel) here have all been lovely, and have really cared about my oral health and gone out of their way to help and advise.
So if you can get past the foyer, a well deserved four stars.

This was my first visit to Brighton Dental Centre, I managed to get in as an emergency appointment the same day, the staff at the front desk were extremely welcoming and friendly, and the dentist I saw was absolutely amazing, he was very honest and I trusted everything he said, he took time and was able to resolve my issue temporarily on the first visit, I left there one very happy customer, and I now have something to really smile about! I can’t thank you all enough for being so kind to me and for the first time in my life I’m actually looking forward to my next appointment!! 😀😀😀

My regular dentist, Daniel, at this practice is lovely and I have no cause for complaint regarding the treatment he’s given me over many years. But I recently had private (Invisalign) treatment with another dentist. His clinical work was fine and he is friendly, BUT he is totally disorganised and always running severely late. My treatment involved around a dozen visits over several months. Almost every time I was seen at least half an hour late, sometimes even more ( and my appointments were at 8 or 8.30, as I needed to go to work afterwards, so he did not have a backlog of patients). On at least one occasion I arrived for an 8am appointment and he did not even arrive till about 8.15. This is discourteous in the extreme. No explanation or apology was ever given by him, and the receptionists seem too nervous to tackle him - whenever I complained or questioned the timing, I was always told I had to take it up with the dentist himself. This isn’t fair on patients - we shouldn’t be expected to have conflict with our medical practitioners. . On another occasion he saw me late because they couldn’t find the next set of aligners, and I was eventually told they’d ‘fallen down the back somewhere’. Not a great approach to storage of medical devices. Again no apology or sense that this wasn’t satisfactory. On another occasion I got a call 15 minutes before the appointment to say that although I was due in for a fit ( of retainers), they had ‘nothing to fit’ so what was it for? ( the reception staff didn’t seem to know why I was attending or what was being fitted - I presume they had no access to my records) and were asking me! I had to make a swift decision about whether to hang around and see if they found the retainers or get to work on time. I went to work, and meanwhile the practice phoned my home line - not my mobile - and told my husband they had in fact now found the aligners. By then I was on the way to London. Again, a poor and unprofessional approach to storage and patient care. On my final appointment ( thanks heavens), I was seen over half an hour late again ( for a two minute fitting appointment) and so have missed a train and am now severely late for work. This is a terrible approach- and for treatment for which I’ve paid thousands of pounds. The other issue is that this dentist only works three days a week and has his finger in many other pies ( I was told he’s on various committees etc), so it is extremely difficult to get appointments and to schedule a lengthy course of treatment. I was not told this until I’d committed to having the treatment; I may have gone elsewhere had I known, because I ended up having to take mornings off work or change work and childcare rotas in order to take inconvenient appointments and keep things on track. I’d say - come for treatment here with Daniel and the other regular dentists ts, but avoid having private cosmetic work, here ( only one f the dentists does it - the inefficient one).

Initially went as “emergency” patient a couple of weeks ago with very painful abscess, as clinic was recommended to me and close to work. I am absolutely petrified of the dentist, but at first appointment ( with Ron) I was put completely at ease, and sent off with a double dose of antibiotics. I have just returned from the clinic, as the abscess did not want to go!! I have actually just had “two” teeth taken out (by Dominic), and felt absolutely nothing! The dentists and staff are patient, kind and reassuring- i have always had to have sedation for an extraction before! I would highly recommend- they are all truly amazing! Thank you all so much!

Absolutely brilliant dental surgery, I’m a really nervous patient but they completely put me at ease, explained everything they were doing and constantly checked that I was doing ok. Both Daniel the Dentist and the lovely dental nurse were outstanding, very empathetic and complete professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The reception staff were smiling, approachable and helpful. If your nervous about dentist, this is the one to visit. Wish I could give them more than 5 *

Just joined and have seen Daniel. Great dentistry! I knew I needed an extraction. Not usually at all nervous but I knew the extraction was potentially difficult and I was worried. Wow... I did not feel a thing...and it was done very easily. Thank you Daniel

Helpful, good dentists who discuss with you any treatment - hygenist knows her stuff and gets you on a good cleaning routine. When a crown came off on 30 Dec couple of years ago were able to fit me in on the 31st which was so helpful. Can book online, text message reminders helpful. Usually on time appointments, highly reccomended.

We have had many, many dentists over the years and Daniel Marquez is the best. Such a caring kind man and a brilliant dentist. Thankyou Daniel. x

Absolutely top notch dentists. Friendly and polite and Dr Johansson a very gentle and considerate chap - great for those still with remnants of childhood dentist fear. As for charges, they are completely compliant with NHS dental charges (ie not free, but NHS is offered) so daft comments about those seem to be erroneous !
