I was very nervous when arriving at the surgery as I was about to have my implant placed, first time ever. All the receptionist were lovely, friendly, especially Sharon, who I was in contact with and who arranged everything for me. I have had my implant placed by Dimitri , he is a great implantologist. He and his nurse, Penny really took good care of me by reassuring me with everything. As soon as I sat in this chair I felt I am in good hands and there is nothing to worry about. He talked me through everything. The procedure was done perfectly without any pain or any worry. If I ever need an other implant I will definitely return to Sussex Dental Group and Dimitri . Well done team, keep up the good work :)

I had an implant done recently and cannot praise the surgeon Mr George Dimitri enough, felt no pain and he was so caring and kind. I have had no pain or discomfort since so am delighted with the level of service from reception to surgeon

I had broken a piece of tooth off a back molar which was very sharp and making it very difficult to eat and to speak. Also, it was extremely painful and my tongue was swollen & sore. Spoke to Marie who immediately assured me that I could have an appointment with a dentist the following morning and that further treatment, if needed, could quickly be arranged. She was kind, understanding and seemed concerned about my painful mouth and distress, having suffered all over the weekend. I went to the Surgery the following morning and saw the dentist, Chris, who was very kind & considerate, and immediately said that he could sort my tooth out to make it less sharp and more comfortable. He also took X-rays and was very thorough in examining my teeth. He explained what he found, luckily no tooth decay, and he said he would be happy to see me in 6 months time for a checkup. I felt so much happier when I left and was very pleased with the quick and efficient treatment I had received. I will certainly return to the Surgery and am happy to recommend them. Many thanks.

I've recently moved to this practice having been so frustrated with shoddy and rude receptionists at two previous surgeries. To be honest, I had started to think that was just the way dental receptionists were, but Sussex Dental Group has really changed my thinking! The practice is light and airy, parking on site, plenty of staff on reception who all seem friendly and efficient. I got text and email reminders about my appointment, and then the dentist herself was friendly and warm and took extra time to really talk me through my cleaning routine, my xrays and my treatment options. It's changed my opinion of Brighton dentists and I would strongly recommend this surgery to anyone!

Bernardo my dentist is absolutely the BEST... he cares about his patients and gives the best advise. He goes out of his ways to always help you and give you the best treatment. Isabella my hygienist is the BEST too and again she really cares about you and goes out of her way to do the best job and both treat you in the most professional way. I hope they stay at this surgery and I’ve been seeing them both for the past few years and I will still want to continue my treatment and check ups with them. Fantastic experience for my first visit at Sussex dental group. When you call the phone is always answered within a few seconds unlike some other dentist. I don’t like visiting the dentist but the reception staff are amazing and put you at ease. The dentist I had was dr Indra she was the nicest dentist I have ever had, very welcoming, she explains what she is doing it really puts you at ease. I also liked the booking system that you received a printed appointment card, the other dentist I have been to it is written on a piece of paper. AMAZING DENTIST. 5⭐️. I can’t fault them in any way. Becky, the hygenist, is obviously excellent at her job as she is well booked-up and I couldn’t get another appointment with her for 12-weeks. I've been coming to this dentist for nearly seven years now. I initially came as a very nervous patient, who had neglected trips to the dentist for nearly 20 years. However, from the receptionist to the dentist they were gentle, patient and professional, and now I enjoy going! Top marks though have to go to Izabela, my dental hygenist who has worked with me to improve my dental hygiene, in a painless, non-judgmental, friendly way, and even though we see each other a few times a year, always remembers me and we have a good chat. If you are looking for a dentist please go to this one, there's a reason why its one of the biggest in the South East.

This dental practice in St.Andrews road,Portslade is the best I have ever used, i am 72 now so as you can imagine I have tried a few.It is a very friendly place where the staff really put you at ease, it is also very clean and tidy in all area's. There are a number of Dentists on site,so appointments are nearly always on time, the only time this may change is if there is an emergency. I was in need of emergency dental treatment, owing to a broken filling which had left a VERY ragged tooth. This resulted in constant rubbing of the inside cheek and tongue. Unfortunately I was heading to France at 05:00 (Newhaven/Dieppe) the next morning and was left with no option but to ask the NHS Helpline for an emergency appointment. (Great service by the way.) This is a bright, clean and very modern surgery. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. My dentist for this treatment was George...and yes, this is how he likes to be called. And although I had to wait almost 45 minutes for my appointment, I am extremely grateful for the treatment and the help given me. One tiny glitch...but totally understandable...was that my dentist was on the 1st floor, so this required negotiating two flights of stairs and as a disabled pensioner this is quite painful. Patient's toilet and a small (if slightly awkward) car park. Would highly recommend this place, if you need a NHS or private dentist.

The dentist was very helpful and professional. I can't say the same thing for one of the receptionists. I don't think she was wearing a badge with her name as I've checked. She was sitting at the desk on the right when you're facing the reception, with a dark fringe hairstyle and northern accent. The lady came a cross as not very polite and a bit rude even. I can't say she was friendly at all. The way she was talking to me made me feel really unwelcome and uncomfortable, on top of the fact I was there for an emergency appointment and it was my first time at that clinic. She was even rude to her collegues, interupting one of them while he was talking with patients and not even apologizing. Her tone of her voice and the sharpness is not appropriate for the type of job she's got. Anyone who brings their own problems to work can pull off a sadistic style of enquiry and play on people who are uncertain and she felt she needed to make me feel stupid for not being sure whether my recently rented property was in Hove or Brighton, despite the fact I told her the postcode and I thought Brighton and Hove is the name of the City anyway?! When asked if I needed to get back into the queue I had originally joined, after being told politely by her male colleague that I had a form to fill in, she again felt the need to break down communication so that it sounded like I was being stupid - 'which one?!' - a question that was both irrelevant (as each queue was for the same thing) and was delivered in a raised and condescending tone of voice. This experience at reception utterly overshadowed the fact that I received perfect care and am now feeling much better. It is also worth mentioning I was 6 months pregnant at the time, something that I don't expect to entitle me to special treatment but am unprepared for such a manner from a stranger, especially one working in the front-line of patient care.
