I researched dentists when I needed an implant and as I knew it would not be straight forward I decided to use Sussex Implant Centre as they seemed to be the most technically advanced. This has been the correct decision as Dr Slabbert could see exactly what was needed to be done down to millimetres here and there to make the implant a success. All the work I have had done was in 2021 during covid but I always felt safe as special breathing equipment is used during treatment. I can't say that the surgery needed to support the implant is something I would want to go through again but the result is that I now have a front tooth so I can smile again and I can eat an apple without cutting it up for the first time in many years.

I all thought having dental implants would be very painful. 2 implants and a sinus graft later, not a inch of pain or discomfort. Dr Slabbert and Charlotte made the experience comfortable. They were kind and caring. Very professional. The after care was the best

Wow, Dr. Kafantari and the whole team at Sussex Implant Centre were absolutely amazing! My previous dentist advised that I'd need an Endodontist specialist to treat my infected lower ight molar - an advanced Root Canal. I had to do this myself and searched for recommendations and found Sussex Implant Centre. I contacted the practice as a self-referral and was so glad that I did -- the team at Sussex Implant Centre were quick, responsive and very accommodating. Dr. Kafantari was very knowledgeable about root canals and offered advise and answers to any questions I had. She even wrote me a referral so the next steps would be seamless with future dentists. After being on 4 rounds of antibiotics in the past 10 weeks, it feels so good to finally free of this infection. I would highly recommend Nikoletta Kafantari and Sussex Implant Centre if you want to get your dental problems sorted!

After some years of missing teeth, I took the decision to smile again! Werner's care has been exemplary from start to finish. After a consultation he clearly discussed the options available and together a detailed program was under taken. Every step, and on every occasion the service has been next level - truly a revelation in dental care. Two implants later and i'm beaming again! This is not all about teeth, for me it's about anxiety of dentistry which has been eliminated, it's about confidence in the dentist skills, which is phenomenal, it's also about how it feels to smile BIG again - and to be honest you cannot put a price on smiling - thank you Werner and your amazing team!!

Dr Slabbert was recommended to me after a failed implant procedure by my own dental surgeon in Canterbury. I found him an engaging and pragmatic medical professional, a good communicator with a very modern practice. Having previously suffered the time and expense of travelling to London for dental scans his CT scanner saved this inconvenience. The support team are very efficient, friendly and helpful. I am very happy with my new implant, and the 225 mile round trip for each appointment was worthwhile.

If you need a root canal treatment go to NIKOLETTA KAFANTARI Her expertise, warmth, kindness and consideration were transformative. I have had a number of root canals over the years and experiences with other dentists had left me incredibly anxious and even fainting. Nikoletta took the time to talk through my whole treatment plan and allayed all my anxieties both before and during the treatment and assured me that although I might feel some discomfort it would be pain free and for the first time having a root canal I felt no pain. It is rare to find a dentist with such expertise and professionalism combined with such warmth and care and it was an incredible experience to be in a dentist chair and feel calm after 45 years of deep anxiety and distress while undergoing such a potentially invasive treatment. When the x-ray of the canal caused her doubts about how the issue was presenting she arranged for me to have a 4D scan in London, without which I am sure the treatment would not have been successful. I would not hesitate to have a root canal treatment with her again and recommend her whole heartedly. As a bonus my tooth actually looks better than it did before the treatment with a smooth clean filling at the back which is barely noticeable and I no longer fear and dread the dentist! She practices as various dental surgeries so do consider her even if you are not near the Sussex Implant Centre.

In an internet search for the"best" Brighton dentists, Dr Werner Slabbert's extensive professional qualifications and experience impressed me. A difficult molar extraction and two dental implants later, I am convinced that I made a lucky choice indeed! Werner's caring and good humoured professional manner, patiently and clearly explaining the procedures and options dispelled even my apprehensions over implants! I must complement, also, the competent and pleasant supporting staff, Charlotte, and receptionists.

Living in the US, but with a son and family in Lewes, I decided to have my implant done here. Dr Slabbert could not have been more helpful in describing what would happen in my first visit, and Charlotte was fantastic in helping me arrange the schedule of my visits to coincide with my trips to see family. The first visit consisted of the CT scan, and the insertion of the implant. All the equipment is first class, and Dr Slabbert very professional. I can truthfully say that I experienced no pain from this visit, and very quickly got used to the cover over the implant. 3 months later, I had 2 visits scheduled whilst in the UK, and again no pain or discomfort. My last 2 visits consisted of taking the impressions, and having the crown fitted. It looks great, with a good match for my other teeth. I would definitely recommend Dr Slabbert and his staff, and if I need any further implants, I will be going back.
