I booked into The Dentist as I chipped my two front teeth and was experiencing some pain from the caps placed by a previous dentist and it also impacted my confidence. After an initial consultation with Dr. Ho I immediately felt comfortable with what he proposed and after several appointments my teeth look amazing and I have so much more confidence, more importantly pain free! Dr. Ho is personable and has a meticulous attention to detail. He describes each part of the process with you and ensures that you’re comfortable as the sessions go on. The reception and support staff are excellent and a real testament to an overall great experience (as far as wishing to go to the dentist)! The Dentist offers an affordable plan that covers a scale and polish twice a year and two check ups (amongst other benefits too). The scale and polish with the hygienist is equally personable and does a fantastic job. I found the Dr. Ho ensures that he is always delivering his best work, for example, I had a crown fitted and it took a couple fittings as he wanted to ensure the colour matched my teeth as accurately as possible, this was a nice touch. Overall, it’s a fantastic dentist, I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else, take a look at my before and after photos. They’re a testament to Dr. Ho and the teams work. Thanks again, Adam.

My experience of having my teeth straightened and whitened at the Dentist Old Market has been excellent. Throughout the treatment Kain and Claire have both been brilliant. I felt very relaxed every time I visited as they were so friendly and welcoming while being totally professional. Kain is a perfectionist about getting the best result and I am very pleased as my teeth now look exactly how I wanted and very natural. I went to The Dentists Old Market to have two Implants fitted. I was seen by Dr Steven Ho. Dr Ho explained in great detail the process, timeline and cost. I felt immediately comfortable and relaxed. I had many visits over a few months because of the healing needed and at all my appointment Dr Ho was meticulous with my treatment making me feel comfortable and painfree. After having my implants fitted my confidence was restored to smile again. I highly recommend Steven and will continue as a future patient.

I first joined the Practice in the late 1980s and apart from a brief hiatus have been a patient ever since. My children and I have always received excellent quality advice and treatment. I recently needed to address long-standing damage to a front tooth with a veneer needing to be fitted and a crown replacement to the adjacent tooth. The attention to detail to achieve the best result was second-to-none. I have recently relocated to Cornwall, so have registered with a local Practice but would recommend Old Market Dental Practice to anyone wishing to receive top notch dental treatment from professional, friendly staff. Happily, I am able to remain on the patient register in case of urgent treatment being needed when visiting the area....what more could I ask!?

I had my first hygienist appointment with Suzanne this morning and it was a really good experience. My initial appointment was a few weeks ago but there was a little mix up, it got dealt with quickly and professionally and was rescheduled no problem. I felt super comfortable and relaxed from the start. Suzanne is really friendly and great at her job, my teeth are sparkling and I was well looked after. I'm a smoker and drink coffee so I do get a little nervous in case I get told off but Suzanne just gave me good advice and didn't judge. The surgery is clean and organised. I'm a new patient but I will definitely be returning for regular cleans and check ups in the future. Thank you Suzanne and all the team :)

Migraines As a licensed medical practice The Dentist, Old Market is now able to offer treatment for migraine. I’ve suffered from chronic episodic migraine, often on multiple days each month, for over fifteen years and have been prescribed many unsuccessful preventative medications. Following two courses of treatment by Dr Kain with micro-injections of botulinum toxin (anti-wrinkle) however, I am delighted that I am now virtually free of migraines. Kain, ably assisted by Claire, administers the tiny injections with precision and care and there is minimal discomfort. In my case it took a couple of months for the benefits to be realised but I am now hugely grateful that my quality of life is so greatly improved.

Seen by Sandra and Carriann and I can not say how wonderful they both were. It was my first visit as a new patient and I have to say I am extremely impressed with the service and how highly experienced the team is here. I was greeted by 2 wonderful, kind and very helpful ladies at reception. Did the usual details. It wasn't at all long before I was greeted my Dr Steven Ho and his nurse Molly. They were extremely friendly and very thorough with the work they do. Soon after I saw the lovely Hygienist Gill and the nurse Jane. Gill gave me some great advice and in depth advice on how to keep my teeth away from bacteria build up. The atmosphere was really nice and calm and really put me at ease. Its nice to finally go to a practice that isn't fully rammed with patients and not running late. Anyone who is looking to go private in the future take advantage of the new patient deal. You won't be disappointed trust me!

He is very knowledgeable, informative, honest and helpful. He takes the time to explain what he is doing every step of the way. Now had two implants carried out by Kain, the dentist at this practice. Once was rather complicated, but it all went well and I'm extremely happy with the results. He explained everything in detail beforehand so I could make a proper, well thought out decision; then when the treatment started he continued to explain all that he was doing. I was concerned both about how uncomfortable both the procedure might be, as well as the healing period afterwards but had no need to have worried. Yes, there was the inevitable little 'bruised look', but this quickly went down and there was no sign of it after just a couple of days. I think the surprisingly quick healing was also helped because I very strictly followed the advice Kain gave me re hygiene etc. The procedure isn't cheap - but like with everything you only ever get what you pay for - but the result is brilliant and I think worth every penny. I've heard of people opting for cheaper and so say faster methods of having implants done, but sadly sometimes with rather regrettable consequences. So thanks Kain - and to Claire, his excellent nurse/assistant who was very reassuring throughout - I was a rather nervous patient!

I went to The Dentists Old Market because I had an awful and unbearable pain in one tooth and my face was swollen. They gave me an appointment for the same day and the service given was outstanding. Dr. Oliveira and the nurse were very professional and very helpful. She prescribed me some antibiotics as I had an infection and I couldn’t be happier. The ladies in reception were also very nice and helpful. Highly recommended and worth the money!!
