S. R.I am a new patient at the practice and will definitely be staying here. The staff are all so lovely and very friendly. I was seen by Dr Harriet, who was so friendly and professional. I had bonding on my 2 front teeth which were chipped, she did an amazing job and explained throughout the whole procedure what she was doing. I have recently had my braces removed so was worried that my teeth would move a lot as I couldn't get an appointment with the orthodontist for a retainer fitting for a few weeks. Harriet went out of her way to take fittings for me straight after the treatment and my retainer arrived 3 days following the appointment.
The service here is excellent. I felt very welcomed and all the staff are so friendly. I have never felt so happy with my smile. Very very helpful and attentive staff and very happy with the outcome.
Thank you so much and I couldn't recommend enough to people. A very warming atmosphere.

I genuinely felt like they cared about me personally and not just another ‘patient’. I have to give a huge special thank you to the absolutely amazing Mark Hill who was the dentist I saw. After speaking with him about the anxiety I had about being there as well as a sensitivity to metal on teeth sounds (I know some will understand this), Mark was incredibly patient. He went through everything with me and making sure I was ok at every stage from initial consultation to every part of the filling process. He managed to barely touch my teeth with metal and I can’t explain how much that helped. I felt completely at ease and can’t thank him enough. I also wanted to thank all the dental nurses who were incredibly kind (I am afraid I can’t remember names, I was trying to focus on not panicking). I am actually looking forward to my next appointment and will be recommending to everyone I know!

They were able to see me really quickly, and Shaunna was beyond helpful when I had trouble accessing the documents I needed to complete before arrival.

Dr Mark Hill was extremely helpful, patient and professional. As much I'm still stressing, cannot wait to get my teeth fixed over here. J. M.I have been with Park Place Dental Practice for many years from when they were in Churchill Way! This has to be the BEST dental practice in Cardiff! They always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome because let's face it, the dentist can be daunting to some... I used to have such anxiety about going to the dentist, but since being a patient here I never have to worry as I know I'll always be taken care of.
Today I had to have quite a lengthy procedure done. I had my treatment done by Wilson Wong. All I can say is what an excellent dentist! He's so kind and has such a good vibe and goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. He explained everything to me and he was very thorough. He made the whole experience as good as it could be! He's definitely a great asset to the company as well as Omar who I've seen previously and came in to oversee my treatment today. He's very reassuring and such a cool guy! The owners Mark and Sarah are just amazing people. They always say hello and great you with kind faces. Another two members of the team Heather and Shauna are adorable. They are always so kind to me and helpful. Val the head receptionist is absolutely brilliant! What a lovely woman! So friendly and so kind and always there to help with anything she really does go above and beyond! (Thank you always Val).
In summary, I would HIGHLY recommend this dental practice and I would never go anywhere else! I wish I could give more than 5 stars because they really are more than that! 😊

Having suffered with a tooth cavity – initiated during the first ‘COVID 19 pandemic’ lockdown – toothache and decay were an inevitable outcome the longer I left it to progress.
Sometime later nerve pain ensued and I was force to seek emergency treatment in the hope of relief. What consequence to the tooth that my lack of earlier intervention left was unknown to me but dental treatment and the hope of optimum outcomes was now a must.
Park Place Dental Practice was excellent!
I phoned to enquire about an emergency appointment first thing in the morning and within minutes I was booked in for an appointment scheduled just 2 hours later. The receptionists focus on helping me was just what I wanted and needed.
When I arrived I was designated to the Dental practitioner – Wilson Wong.
His charming charismatic personality was a pleasure right from the start.
He enquired enthusiastically about my tooth pain and about the mitigating measures I had been taking in order to deal with it over the days leading up to my contact with them.
Straight away he gave me options for any overall treatment plans and what he would be able to do immediately for the present tooth pain.
The plan was to remove the appropriate tooth nerve – to alleviate the present sufferings – and then to try a root-canal in order to ‘hopefully’ in the long run save the tooth.
Nerve removed and tooth preparation complete - capped with a temporary filling. I was swiftly booked in for my full scale ‘root-canal’ - capped with a permanent filling (and if all goes well a future crown) just over 1 week thereafter.
The treatment was a somewhat lengthier procedure than I initially thought it would be (but having not undergone it before and it being a new experience for me what was I expecting?) but Wilson and his colleague were as efficient as could be in carrying it out and then sending me on my way.
I left with the hope that the treatment was to be a success and that if all’s well in 6 months time I will return to have a check up and crown the tooth in question. “Having written this review 1 week after my latest appointment I’m feeling somewhat confident that this will be the case. The tooth is performing well and with any luck will be ready for its crown.”
So there we have it, Park Place Dental Practice was great!; is great!
Really helped me out in a time of need and am looking forward to any further interactions as I’m sure my teeth are in great hands.

The receptionists were great and extremely welcoming and the dentist, Wilson, and his nurse were amazing. I presented with a broken tooth following RCT that had not been crowned. Wilson went above an beyond to ensure that he was providing me with the best treatment available and his friendly and professional manner meant that during each stage of the treatment I felt completely comfortable and at ease. My crown also feels fantastic and looks great, I cannot thank you enough. I will definitely be recommending park place and I will back in the future myself.

I hadn't been to the dentist for years and was nervous to go but the staff made me feel at ease from the moment I entered the door. They were all so friendly and helpful, and they were constantly cleaning so I felt very safe with regards to COVID. I was seen almost immediately and Omar, my dentist, couldn't have been nicer. H. A.Attended the practice twice recently and had a really good experience overall. The place was very clean with adequate distancing in the waiting areas. I was treated by Omar who was professional and explained things really well and the best part was that I didn't feel the needle to numb my gums area. I kept waiting for the needle to pinch but instead I started feeling numb, so thanks to Omar for pain free experience (obviously felt discomfort during the treatment which is understandable).
The support staff with the dentist and at reception were also helpful and friendly. I would certainly return when needed and would recommend this place to others.

I had an appointment to have a bridge fitted, and i honestly couldn't be happier with the outstanding results. My dentist, the absolutely wonderful Harriet, went above and beyond for me. All throughout my treatment she really has been amazing, and nothing was ever too much trouble for her. My teeth are now complete 😁 And not forgetting Ffion, she's a great dental nurse, and both her and Harriet are very professional (but also down to earth!) with great attention to detail.

L. S.Very hard to find a good dentist (that also has places for NHS patients) but Park Place are great. I've had several issues relating to awkward wisdom teeth but they've been really lovely, available when I need them and reassuring and helpful when in pain. Fully recommend them.

s. j.Park Place Dental Practice came up in a search review I did for dentists who were good at dealing with patients with a fear of dentists. I completed an online form one evening and heard from Val the next day, I was seen on Monday this week and from the second I was greeted by Val I felt at ease. I had further treatment the following day and everyone I have met at that practice has been so caring, considerate and warm.
Now on to Mark Hill, he has been fantastic. Talking me thorough each step of my treatment on Tuesday, taking regular pauses to check I was alright, he has been marvellous I can't say enough to sum up how brilliant he is. If you have a fear of dentists and haven't been in a long while, go here. They are all amazing, I felt safe there with the additional covid safety measures. If you have a fear of dentists but have that awful sinking feeling about your smile, r maybe a toothache just won't go away. Go.. you won't regret it.

I’m sad to say I haven’t had an appointment for over a year. My last one should have been the week that the first lockdown happened and I haven’t had one since. I was a little concerned about returning to the practice for the first time in over a year.
I didn’t know what to expect when I visited - but everything was clearly explained (forms filled in online in advance of the appointment) and I received clear instructions and support from the staff throughout.
I had a checkup and an appointment with the hygienist (a manual scale and polish which I found better than the machine version - maybe I’m a bit weird!).
An excellent experience throughout. See you in July for my next scale and polish!

Thankfully I found Park Place who were able to see me next day, they really put me at ease from the first telephone conversation (with Val) and they gave me a thorough first consultation. After talking through my options, I came back a few days later to have a filling replaced. They have made sure I am kept under review in case of any problems which is very reassuring.

Due to relocation I had to bite the bullet, and was glad I did. Mark and his team are excellent with special mentions to Val (on reception) and Georgia (one of the dental nurses). The whole experience there from start to finish is top class. Mark is incredibly communicative and explains everything form start to finish. I never wait long in reception for my appointment, but Val always keeps you company anyway. In the way they have chosen to do a couple of things slightly differently than one might normally expect from any other dental practice, in order to reduce stress and waiting times, I found reassuring and relaxing - this was noticable from the moment I walked through the door. The lighting from the ceiling that gave one the feeling that one was laying on one's back and looking up in to the trees is a stroke of genius for sufferers like me. They also have the best and nicest receptionist called Val, who goes above and beyond to help!

Everyone in this practice is so nice from Val the receptionist to the nurses Georgia, Heather, Nia, Hatty, the debtists Mark, Omar, Simran and the hygienist Vanda and last but not least Sarah the practice manager. Everyone gave me a warm welcome and I spend atleast one day in each surgery. While I was there I got to do impressions and observe. All the of the staff have a great relationship with each other and love working here. Would highly recommended as both a work experience placement and a dentist. They deserve move than 5 stars ⭐️⭐️

Today, I had a deep clean (something I was looking forward to about as much as I enjoy scraping my nails down a blackboard and is equally unpleasant), but Omar and Georgia made the procedure as OK as possible. (Georgia was reassuring without condescension and Omar made sure I was coping ok.) Thanks for making a much dreaded procedure manageable (I won't say pleasant, because it isn't 😂)

T. W.I attended Park Place Dental practice on 14th July for the first time since the Covid 19 lock down began, I was sent a video to watch and forms to complete before attending the appointment. On arrival I phoned the practice and a dental nurse unlocked the door took my temperature and asked covid relevant questions before entering. I was attending for a routine check and descale, I was shown through to Dental room and the dentist and nurse were ready to begin. Everything was spotless and everyone wore PPE as required. S. E.I had a filling fall out of a tooth months ago but due to the pressures of work and travel kept putting it off. The situation worsened and I could feel the swelling and knew the tooth had become infected. I arranged the appointment and came in wearing braces and was wondering how they would manage to sort out the damage given the obstruction. The work was completed quickly and with expert confidence. I managed to have an xray, consultation, partial extraction, clean up of the infection, a prescription for antibiotics and the area sealed in less than 45 minutes. Possibly the best experience I've had at the dentist. The swelling is down, the infection is gone and with it the discomfort. Many thanks!!

Met by Mrs Hill brandishing what I initially thought was a gun,however it turned out to be checking my temperature.Although my pulse was now racing I was allowed in and ushered to a dispenser allegedly containing
an anti bacterial Gel although it could have been an undercover way of checking my DNA and allowing the Police to check I was not on file somewehere.
I was then taken into another room and issued with glasses,this seemed strange as my eyesight had not previously been checked.My photograph was then taken before strange implements were placed in my mouth,maybe they were checking for gold fillings which could be removed when I die.
On being pronounced "all clear" Mrs Hill was summoned to eject me from the building with a warning that "they" would see me again in 6 months.
They did not check my political allegiances but I expect that is recorded on another database.

G. R.This was the first visit to Park Place for two year because Covid had disrupted plans. All went well and I was attended to personally by Mark Hill. As predicted a tooth (U5) had reached the stage where it required extraction. A 'clean and polish', plus descaling was carried out at the same time as the extraction. All was accomplished with no discomfort at all. Afterwards I was give excellent advice and sent on my way with absorbent pads. By the time the train arrived at London Paddington, all had returned to normal. Two days following a tiny fragment of root emerged from the gum, and was removed by finger with no problems. I'd say this was an expert episode, and I recommend this outfit as being quite excellent.
Later addendum:
I decided - by invitation in 2022 - to introduce my partner to PPDP. It's a long railway journey from Milton Keynes, but Cardiff is a nice 'day out'. Not only were they most accommodating about dates and times - going to trouble when I couldn't make a date, but they were welcoming on arrival. The treatment was friendly, entertaining and excellent. Yes, now there will be two of us. PPDP - quality maintained! Well done Mark, Val and the team.

J. d.I recently went to the Park Place Practice because of a pain in a large molar tooth. After an X-ray Mark diagnosed an infection. I had experienced a similar infection last year; on that occasion the problem had been resolved by cleaning and filling. Mark prescribed an immediate course of penicillin and gave me two choices - extraction or a root canal filling. He explained the pros and cons clearly, particularly that there was no guarantee of a long-term solution even if I went to the expense with a root canal. He explained the implications of removing the tooth and that was the solution I chose. The tooth has been removed and the cavity is healing well. I have been entirely satisfied with the service I have been given, particularly the sound advice given by Mark, never being put under pressure to opt for the expensive solution. I have no hesitation in recommending the Park Place Dental Practice.

J. T.I have recently finished a course of treatment of clear aligners. Having had traditional braces when I was younger I was unhappy with how my top arch had moved over time. Having explained this I was presented with some options for treatment which I decided to take up. While the treatment has taken a little longer due to a pause thanks to covid, I am still very happy that it has been completed before the end of the year.
