Being a nervous patient going to the dentist was a big deal for me, I had not been in 20 years so you can imagine the quality of my teeth. My experience at North Hill Dental has been amazing, for every treatment I've had (tooth extraction, fillings, root canal, Invisalign) all completed smoothly and with very little discomfort. I just love my smile now and just love comparing to old photos. Thank you to all the lovely staff, you are all so friendly.

I have been a patient at this practice at the Layer Road Branch for many years and have always been treated with kindness and care. Recently I have had to make a few more frequent trips for treatment. Suzanne, the receptionist is always so friendly and helpful, both over the phone and in the practice itself. During Covid times she has been so professional in how she has carried our procedures to make everyone feel safe. My dentist Zoe is always reassuring and thorough. Both she and her assistants sensitively put me at ease, whilst explaining the best possible treatment and what needs to be done. It hasn't been an easy time for them which makes their pleasant demeanour even more impressive!

From the moment I walked in I was made to feel very welcome by the receptionist. I waited in the waiting room and was seen very quickly by the dentist. He even reminded me of our conversation from my last visit 6 months ago and he was very professional and thorough!! A brief wait again in the waiting room and straight in to see the hygienist. I was nervous before contacting the dentist as it has been a long time since I last attended. The reception I received was amazing. Just a quick note to say how happy I was with my hygienist appointment with Laura on Thursday of last week. To be honest I've never been convinced of the value of a hygienist appointment, but Laura has converted me. She was very friendly yet professional, immediately putting me at ease. Fantastic dentist, always so helpful, I recently had awful toothache suddenly appear over a weekend called up on Monday and the wonderful reception Suzanne was able to get me a emergency appointment in afternoon and dentist went above and beyond to get me sorted at short notice. I started my Invisalign today, to be honest l visited the clinic to just get an idea on the cost as l had been to a few clinics and felt l needed to keep looking around. I had first consultation and was blown away by the staff. Everyone l met was very friendly and professional, the clinic was very clean too. Dr Sachin Sedani has been amazing and the dental nurses he worked with on the days l have been in for appointment so far have been soooooo amazing too. They are the reason why l made the decision to start my treatment straight after consultation. Dr Sedani was very professional, knowledgeable, honest about what was possible. I'm unsure if I have just been lucky but the practice has only ever been running late on one occasion and this was only a 15 min wait. during the beginning of lock down my large tooth at the back broke, a few days ago it suddenly became very painful. i am terrified of dentists after never having a good experience. i called up and they could fit me in the same day. i was in excruciating pain, the dentist himself and the dental nurse were amazing, friendly, calming, and explained everything to me without patronizing me, i was obviously a little nervous but they could tell this, even between waiting for xrays etc they were polite and spoke to me about general things, something i have never experienced from a dentist before. i would 100% recommend this dental practice and i will 100% be returning and not nervous. every member of staff in the building were professional and friendly and i felt safe that it was a clean environment due to covid19. i wish i had found this place years ago! thankyou to all that helped me yesterday!

I have wanted Invisalign for years now but have always backed out of the appointments due to fear of the unknown. After a consultation via zoom in lockdown I have now been into the practice with Sachin and the team for an Invisalign consultation, check up, hygienist appointment and Invisalign fitting! Everyone has been great and have taken extra care given my anxiety about being in the dentist chair. I needed an emergency oral work done. Dr. Sedani was kind enough to accomodate me in his busy North Hill Dental Surgery office. He was very punctual and polite. He gave me a complete thorough exam instead of just one problem tooth. He explained to me in detail his findings and what he was going to do. I asked many questions and he was patient, well knowledgeable. He was very gentle and made sure I was okay throughout the treatment. I didn't even realize when the tooth was extracted. He also did fillings on of the other teeth. He also sat down and explained to me the process of bone graft/ implant. Their prices are the most reasonable in Colchester. I am definitely going back to NHS for implant. I am glad I went to NHS. I will continue going for all my future dental work. I highly recommend them.

This dental practice has been excellent throughout the process of diagnosing and treating gum disease, fitting implants and (now) maintenance and hygiene. All the dental, nursing, hygienist and reception staff are very nice to deal with. They are always happy to explain the treatment and to do as much on the NHS as possible, as well as clearly laying out the different options. Recommended.

I'm a fan of this dentist mostly because of the dentists and the dental nurses as they are all friendly and encouraging. One minor criticism as I'm a little prickly is not being told to bring proof of my exemption of payment. I didn't have proof and felt awkward as the receptionist, only on this this occasion, lacked personability. Since this establishment changed hands it has improved no end! It is very modern, warm and welcoming. You can certainly differentiate this dental practice from the mainstream obvious commoditised overtly consumerist dental health practices that exist elsewhere. Patient awareness is key given the first impression one receives as soon as you meet the receptionists. This positive front of house experaince continued when meeting the dentist and dental nurse assistant. As for the dentist, well a filling is a filling, so what made this a 5 star rating? The genuine listening commitment they delivered whilst offering the best quality dental health procedures and follow up advise.
