I'm a very nervous patient and dread my check up invite but my experience at this surgery has been very positive. Dr Shah is lovely and I trust him 100%. He makes me feel at ease and knows my fears. He takes his time and tells me what he is doing , he praises me when I've been brave too. Reception staff are always friendly too. I dread to think of Dr Shah ever leaving. Have recommended him many a time.

I am a self confessed pessimist when it comes to dentistry and dentist clinics. I have tended to believe they are just interested in your money and not the well being of your teeth. I have also not been shy in sharing these views. However.. upon registering at the smile clinic I must say my experience has been a positive one, so I felt it only fair I share these views too. My dentist Husain Parker is a positive and personable guy, who clearly has a depth of experience and for the first time in my adult years I find myself beginning to trust a dentist, which is a big step for me. Early days here, but so far I would recommend to both private and NHS patients.

Well what can I say... no one really likes going to the dentist especially when you’ve had poor service before. However, I must say, since changing to the Smile Clinic from recommendation by my husband and a friend, The Smile Clinic are totally professional and helpful and made me feel comfortable and at ease with their excellent bedside manner. I unfortunately had to have a tooth pulled out and really wasn’t looking forward to it and nervous as hell, however I had nothing to worry about. I am now not nervous about having my implants. I definitely recommend this clinic.

The receptionists are nice and helpful, but the dentist I saw not so much. He seemed rushed and I didn’t feel listened to. Also, he didn’t identify that my issue was a filling that moved out of its place despite taking 2 X-rays. I went to another surgery and the dentist spent a lot more time looking at my teeth, took the broken filling out and placed a temporary filling on that very first appointment. Also, waiting times are very long at the Smile Clinic - I waited for 3 weeks for an initial appointment to be told to come back after another 3 weeks. The other dentist saw me a few days later after my call and in two weeks I’ll get my permanent filling in. I went as a private patient to both surgeries and, based on my recent experience, the service doesn’t compare.

However my visit to the Smile Clinic was without any issues and Dr Mirza was able to carry out the extraction quickly and smoothly. So I chose this practice over the Mill Road practice where I usually attend. The reason quite frankly was I do not find the resident dentist at Mill Road has a kindly manner about her. The dentist I saw at St Boltolphs was a breath of fresh air. Friendly , knows his stuff and made me feel very welcome. Felt no judgment from him which I have felt before at the other practice. He was reassuring and helpful. No one likes the dentist visit, so I feel it is vital for the visit to be as pleasant as possible. This practice as a whole was great, only one small detail the receptionist although efficient and friendly could really do with chucking a smile into the mix ( some irony there ! ) Lost one star for this ....

My first time visiting The Smile Clinic, I booked my appointment online without any problems, which was great. I got a reminder a couple of days before my appointment, the staff were very friendly and the Practice is very modern and clean. I’m very pleased with with the service I received.

My wife has recently received private dental treatment, at the Smile Clinic, under the care of Dr Dhruv Shah. She was reluctant to keep a tooth that had become very painful. Extraction seemed to be the quickest way to get relief. However, Dr Shah took the time to reassure her that keeping the tooth was important and possible. He patiently went through the options and treatments. She must have been with him for at least 30 minutes during a busy schedule. The treatment included a root canal, crown, repair of a chipped tooth and a denture to support the lower mouth. In all 8 visits. The work was carried out to the highest standard and always with COVID in mind. My wife was impressed with Dr Shah’s professional manner and expertise. He was very helpful and kind as was his assistant. She took the time to arrange appointments around my needs. I would not hesitate to recommend him in particular for treatment. Thank you both.

Both Dr Shah and Dr Parker have been Superb. All Dental nurses are polite kind and always friendly! Both Dr's offered practical solutions to my self and I would recommend this surgery to anyone in the local area. The reception staff are always helpful polite and seem to be very efficient. This never used to be the case! The first few times i visited the receptionist (an older woman) was very rude on every level and abrupt, not helpful and probably should re-evaluate her career choice as so not work with people! But as i mentioned above, she seems not be to present anymore, a change that will benefit this lovely practice no end! Have on going problem with sensitive teeth , had root canal on a tooth previously here but still not fixed problem, managed to get emergency appointment the other day . £23 later and all dentist did was put a paste on the tooth he thought was the problem, took 30 seconds tops . Why do you have to make an appointment then to have a check up which is then followed by another appointment to do any treatment that is required or is this just a money making scheme ££££££

I had two extractions done this afternoon, and I was very, very nervous about this, however once at the surgery, and once in the dentist chair my mind was put at rest, as the dentist (Mr Parker) done a very professional job. I don't like needles, and I had to have six injections, however he calmed me down, and looked after me very, very well. Top, top dentist, and top, top bloke, shame he thought my Colchester a United shirt was an Ipswich shirt though lol. The receptionists are also lovely as well, and make you feel welcome, which I think is very important.

I have to say a big thank you to Dr Prashar and Lauren at the town Smile Clinic. At the grand age of 61 I decided to have my teeth straightened as I was very embarrassed when I saw photos of me with horrid teeth. I opted for the Invisalign program which took 18 months. Dr Prashar and Lauren both supported me through every procedure and encouraged me to be disciplined throughout the program continually wearing the Invisalign braces for 22 hours a day. I now have wonderfully straight teeth and the smile I have always wanted. Thank you again.
