I started as a patient at Balsall Common dental practice back in October and had a great experience. I began with clear aligners, that I wore for 6 months, followed by gum contouring and composite bonding. Staff were very helpful and quick with setting my appointments. Throughout my treatment Ashley explained everything and gave me advice on what can be done to improve my teeth. Now my smile is transformed at a reasonable price and I am very happy.

I have been going to this practice for years. Before I started going I was extremely nervous as I've had some very bad experiences at other dentists. Plus I'm terrified of needles and pain. However, the care and service I've had has been excellent. All the staff are lovely and very caring and Cathy is brilliant at calming me down and talking me through any procedures. Cathy is also extremely thorough and will always take the time to properly investigate any pain and the cause. I would especially recommend this practice if you are nervous of dentists or simply appreciate excellent service.

I have been going to the Balsall Common Dental Practise for years and I can happily recommend them to friends and family. They are very professional and caring. From the reception staff, hygienists and dentists they are a great practise to cover your needs. Being a slight nervous patient I have to say both Cathy and Ashley have such a great manner you'll be at ease straight away. Recently Ashley performed a rather tricky root canal and he was brilliant. In my 73 years I have visited many dentists, probably not as many as I should have, but enough to be able to give a well-qualified assessment. Balsall Common Dental Practice is one of the best I have experienced. Dr Davenport (call me Ashley) is one of the most approachable and caring medical practitioners it has been my pleasure to meet. His attention to detail and expertise are exceptional. It’s the attention to detail that counts for me, the giving of a local anaesthetic to numb your gums before that horrible injection is a typical example. These days, we will have to be aware of cost, here too, this practice excels, treatment options are discussed in full, and after a decision has been made you are given a full written description together with costs, which in my experience are significantly lower than I have paid before, but without any compromise in quality of treatment! The support staff deserve a mention too, from the welcoming smile you receive on arrival to the exceedingly competent support given to Dr Ashley during treatment. Their light-hearted banter during treatment is extremely relaxing, I only wish I was in a position to join in! To sum up, excellent treatment, at reasonable cost, administered by exceedingly competent staff who become friends as well as medical professionals.

I have been coming to the brilliant and caring Balsall Common Dental practice for several years now and could not recommend them any more highly. I joined the practice whilst living in Germany on a visit to see my Mum and have been a happy client ever since, staying with them through five years living in Dubai during which time I even had Invisalign treatment. Ashley always explains my treatment and I believe always gives the best and most cost effective treatment. The hygienists are also fab, very thorough and cause no discomfort and the welcome from the whole team on reception is so warm and friendly. They have always been very flexible in trying to find me appointments to fit with visits home from abroad and really treat their patients as individuals. Special shout out to Kirsty who went the extra mile recently to arrange an emergency appointment for me 😀. Now living back in the UK but more than 2 hours away in Yorkshire, I didn’t consider for a second moving to a more local dental practice as the service from Ashley and the team is so special. Fantastic Dentist I hadn’t used this surgery before but needed some emergency treatment which unfortunately was over the Christmas period. I made an enquiry via the website and Ashley contacted me straight away, even on Christmas Eve! He got me in at the next available opportunity which was amazing. Excellent friendly practice right from first contact making an emergency appointment through the treatment and then follow up booking for further examination. Everyone was pleasant and went the extra mile to explain things. The Dentist, Catherine, was the best I have come across she explained everything she was doing and was always asking and checking I wasn't in discomfort which I wasn't as although it was a deep filling replacement in a canine tooth it was absolutely pain free. I didn't even feel the injections for the anesthetic. A fantastic dental experience and although private was no more expensive than the NHS costs. Thank you.

Ashley was absolutely fantastic - always friendly, helpful and honest, which made the entire process less daunting. The service I received today from Balsall Common Dental Surgery was very impressive. I phoned in a panic as my regular dentist let me down and I needed an emergency appointment. Not only was the receptionist sympathetic, she immediately took down my details and phoned back within minutes to confirm I could be fitted in. When I arrived I expected a wait as I obviously wasn’t a regular patient but the staff were friendly and the wait not too long. I absolutely cannot recommend Cathy, Ashley and the staff highly enough. I am the most petrified patient ever and didn't attend a dentist for years . But now I'm getting ready to have implants and this is only down to them making me at ease and going the extra mile to explain everything. I recently had restorative work done on my upper and lower front teeth, followed by three implants to fill spaces in my upper back jaw by Dr Ashley Davenport at Balsall Common Dental Practice. This extensive dental work was carried out over a period of several months as the restorative work and implants required time to integrate and complete. All through the treatment I was kept fully informed and briefed on progress and next steps. The treatment itself was pain-free, although long and naturally sometimes uncomfortable. Dr Davenport and his staff were always most solicitous and reassuring. I have been most impressed with the final results. For the first time in years, I no longer have gaps visible when I smile but, more importantly, I can now chew food with much increased efficiency. I have been most impressed with how much improved my front teeth appear, and with how natural and efficient the implants are in appearance and function. I have no hesitation in unreservedly recommending the dental practice to others who may require similar and routine dental work.

To say I was terrified is a understatement, I was filled with fear of the dentists. I was recommended by my daughter whilst on holiday here with an emergency. Having had awful experiences in the past both with treatment and advice, I can't emphasise enough the reassurance, advice and treatment I received from Ashley and all the lovely girls there. I had 2 extractions, and honestly can say my fear was far worse than the pain I felt, just a little sensation of movement, but over in 5 mins. The bleeding stopped immediately, and I was shaking with fear for the pain to kick in later, but NO pain whatsoever have I had. I have to have further treatment root canal on another tooth, and completely trust Ashley's skill. He explained everything, why things went wrong, what treatments available, and long term outlook, very much treated personally, and ultimately my decision. The reception and nurses were so reassuring they knew how scared I was, in fact a poor girl was probably in more pain from me sqeezing her hand ! The following day I even had a call asking how I was feeling. All in all a first class appointment, and whilst not looking forward to it, I have less fear, for my forthcoming appointment. In early 2012 I embarked on a course of treatment to solve a major problem with my "Bite". The treatment has involved braces, 3 extractions, 3 fillings, 5 crowns and an implant. When the treatment began I was so terrified of dental procedures that even a small filling would leave me shaking and crying for at least an hour. Here we are more than 3 years later and (whilst I still truly hate injections) I feel calm and secure during treatment. That mindset is purely down to the professional and caring attitude afforded me by Ashley and his lovely team. I have always been very impressed with the standard of cutomer care you recieve at Balsall Common Dental Practice. I have been going to see Dr Ashley Daveport for many years, along with my children. Ashley and his team have gone out of their way to make my whole family feel at ease and given us all top quality Dentistry work. Currently I am half way through correcting my teeth with clear ratainers. I am a teacher and the children have not noticed me wearing them. They are a great product and as an adult, are a more favourable alternative to a fixed brace. Finally the children love coming to the Dentist to get their stickers and to play on the Nintendo, while waiting for mummy and daddy.

I was terrified about having implants. BUT, it was nowhere near as bad as I thought. Most painful part was from anaesthetic injections!! Gas and air definitely helped my nerves too.
