My review is based on dental implants. I had an aging Maryland dental bridge consisting of x2 front teeth, and it was beginning to feel less secure with a worry of potential breakage. The bridge had already exceeded the life expectancy by nearly a decade, and I had some gum receding around one of the adjacent teeth of which the bridge was attached, so I was considering dental implants as a long-lasting solution. I already knew these had a high cost, so a little homework was required beforehand to ensure the investment was sound. I was already familiar with Dentistry No.3 due to a dental-cautious partner who had visited them previously and spoke highly of the experience. Although Dentistry No.3 was the furthest practice from my home, I ended up choosing them to carry out the work. There were several reasons for this. Primarily they were the first dentist out there I had contacted during the aftermath of Covid who were willing to get me in to help alleviate severe abscess pain, when most other dentists locally were still refusing to see people, leaving others in severe pain for an undetermined period. Among them were dental surgeries that were offering the dental implants I was initially considering, and because of the uncertainty around further restrictions, I did not want to undergo this kind of a procedure with a surgery that could steer towards imminent delays. Dentistry No.3 were far more prompt in that regard. The setting is very comfortable and the staff and dentists themselves all very friendly, which can be a stark parallel to many NHS dental surgeries out there, unfortunately. I had things, even little things identified during my implant appointments (that booked just for the implants) that were either missed or overlooked during full routine checks from my regular NHS dentist. I'm not sure if that speaks of the high attentiveness of the dentists at Dentistry no.3 or the inattentiveness of the NHS dentists, but it certainly provides reassurances that you're in great hands. They also offer a lifetime guarantee with their dental implants for extra peace of mind. The implant procedure itself, wasn’t one that was rushed. All possibilities were explored including gum grafts. I received a bone graft prior to the implant fitting, along with temporary bridges and gum shaping all carried out to ensure that the implants were the best that they could be. It was a procedure that was carried out delicately, but very precisely, and I was very happy with the end results. Thanks to Leigh, Ally and the rest of the team at Dentistry No.3. for making this a surprisingly comfortable experience

Having a smile like Shrek, I thought, "what's the worst that can happen?" so I went along to see Dr Ali and young Natalie and told them, "I want a smile like hers" pointing to Mrs C who has teeth like you'd see in an Oral B toothbrush advert. I'd expected laughter, but no, just reassurance and an Invisalign plan. So over the following couple of months things started looking pretty good: I got really quite positive during the whitening stage. Then Doc Ali (the smile whisperer) started the final stages of filing down the fangs and adding composite to the thread bare incisors until finally, young Natalie handed me a mirror and asked; pleased? I wasn't pleased, I was blinking ecstatic; almost crashed the car twice on the way home smiling at myself in the mirror!! I've also discovered, if you smile at people, they smile back, especially Mrs C; what's not to like?!

Ali is a total perfectionist and guided and reassured me throughout the process, which seemed daunting at first but I needn’t have worried. I have just finished my invisalign lite treatment with dentistry number 3 and I am so happy with my results. They have an exceptional team of staff who really care about you. Leigh, the smile expert gives you all the info you need at the beginning and how much costing will be and what is right for you. Leigh also can communicate via WhatsApp which I loved as it was much easier for me! During my treatment I had to have wisdom teeth removed, which I can honestly say was as pain free tooth removal can be! (Thanks to Niall) I even got a call from the staff through out the week to ask how I was feeling after the procedure which was very nice. The receptionists kindly kept me updated when I had to pick up new trays and if anything was delayed at the lab which set my expectations, even though everything was done in a timely manner considering covid times. My dentist Ali is a perfectionist and will always give you the best advice on what’s right for your smile. This meant he would be scanning my teeth quite regularly to make sure they are tracking correctly. If there was anything he wasn’t happy with from a dentists perspective, he would never disregard these issues and take action to make sure everything was perfect! Can't rate Dr Ali high enough! I've always been conscious of my wonky shaped front teeth. I had composite bonding applied elsewhere but i wasnt happy with the general experience. They were far too big and I had to go back to have them filed down. They were also starting to stain around the edges slightly so I decided to save up for porcelain veneers which I'd always wanted. After researching I decided to go with Dentistry @ No 3 and am SO glad I did. MY biggest concern was that when i had my bonding done previously, there was zero communication between me and the Dr applying it so i was very unhappy with the final result. Dr Ali on the other hand was exceptional! He not only listened to exactly what my concerns were but he explained everything in detail. I have never felt more confident going in and felt truly involved in the entire experience from start to finish so there were no surprises . This was a big deal for me and really meant a lot. My new teeth are JUST what I hoped for and amazingly natural looking. Couldnt be happier! An added plus was that the entire procedure was also genuinely 100% pain free. The staff were also always an absolute pleasure to deal with. I think I can speak for most people when I say that visiting the dentist can be a little nerve wracking so when you're greeted by such lovely and friendly staff, it really helps to calm your nerves. I wanted to change the shape of my teeth ever since I was younger and so I had been researching different dentists in which I would really trust. I had been going to the NHS every 6 months for all my life and now my teeth needed the treatment that are not availabe via NHS. Hi there! I have had to have treatment yesterday, 22 July '20, at No3 Dental clinic. Have had initial photographs xrays and impressions prior to my having 4 front upper teeth removed. I can honestly say, i felt NO pain during this procedure and even the numbing injections were painless! My Dentist, Alistar, took his time to loosen teeth rather than just pull them so that it protected my bone and gums. After the extractions, i had few dissolvable stitches but felt nothing at all!! He then took time to make sure my comfort denture was perfectly held in place over the extraction site before i left. Having had a lot of treatments done both NHS and Privately, i have no problem recommeding him as the VERY BEST Dentist ive ever had work on my teeth. His attention to detail and to making sure i was painfree and comfortable at all times, is FIRST CLASS!! Also, i must add, that the comfort denture is more like a finished denture!! Better than any ive had made before and I cannot wait until i get my new teeth in about 6 weeks time. Im writing this, the morning after and ive no pain at all. To be honest, ive said that he should charge more for his professionalism expertise and care. Also received a call this morning to check that im ok...and im going again tomorrow for a quick checkup. Whats the saying, You get what you pay for!! Well ive had the Rolls Royce treatment... If youre afraid or nervous, i would HIGHLY recommend Alistar, brilliant Dr of Dentistry. Id also like to mention the staff at this clinic. Leigh was the first person i spoke with and very understanding and intuitive...helped me immensely and put me at ease, no question went unanswered. Treatment by Alasdair was, as always, very efficient and professional. He clearly explains any dental faults and advises on potential future problems and how he will deal with them. I came to No 3 initially with a failing implant bridge. Alisdair produced a costed plan to remedy the situation and then went through it to make sure I was completely happy with all aspects before proceeding. Having the worst fear of the dentist I read some reviews and just WOW.. I was made to feel at ease from the minute I picked up the phone to arrange an appointment and they understood how real my fear was. I have now started much needed treatment and so far so good! 😀

Ali is a fantastic dentist. After knocking myself out at the skatepark I came round to find I had also knocked out most of my front teeth. It was not a good look and I wished I had worn my mouthguard. My teeth were broken and turned a horrible colour, it was awful, I couldn't smile and always tried to cover my mouth. When I first met Ali he took time to talk to me and looked at past photos to see my natural smile, he even made a model of what my new teeth would look like so I could make any changes. I didn't need to, they were awesome! I was so happy when I left with my new front teeth, I feel so much better, more confident and can get back to laughing with my mates. Thanks Ali

I've been to dentists over the years and although they have been ok , I wasn't really particularly impressed or indeed selective about one dentist or another ... That is until I started as a patient at Dentistry @ No 3 , courteous , polite , they listen to what you actually want , even as bespoke as it might be, nothing is too much of a problem to them. Niall Henderson is really calming and explains the process. Pain free too , I have very sensitive areas in my mouth and I can't stand pain . This is the only dental practice where , whilst I was having fillings done etc and must have been on the chair for almost an hour or so , I was relaxed, so much so that I woke my self from a micro nap with a snore whilst the dentist was at work in my mouth ... embarrassingly true !! I am very happy with the way they operate and would recommend them to anyone who really cares about their smile as I do . I am very very fussy where dental work is concerned . Thank you Dentistry @ No .3 you are really exceptional at what you do.
