It’s a great clinic with professionals who are very caring, modest and responsible for their work and words. Dr. John and his colleague Peter did check up on their own equipment and also looked at images that I had from previous check ups to see what is going on, how severe a problem was and get for me treatment with a high success rate. It’s crucial for me because I am a ‘complex case’ and some doctors are not so attentive and open to collect and share more info. Polina and Polina at the reception are also very warm and attentive.

I could not recommend Inverleith Dental Care highly enough!!! The staff give you the best welcome and are so friendly and courteous. They seem to genuinely care and make you feel really comfortable. All of the reception staff have extremely high standards of customer care. Moving on to the miracle worker Dr Chris Fowles...I have wanted my two front teeth fixed for years after knocking them out. When I told him what I wanted he knew instantly how to help me. He made me feel so comfortable and confident with what I was looking for and I really can’t recommend him highly enough. My teeth look absolutely beautiful and it wasn’t a long or dragged out process. The whole process was just so pain free. Thank you for making me feel myself again and giving me my smile confidence back.

I recently had to get a root canal treatment done, which I was very nervous and scared about. The dentist who treated me was very lovely and re-assuring. He paid careful attention to my facial expressions and movements during the treatment to make sure I was not feeling any pain and understood what was going on. I continued to feel pain after and they were very quick to schedule me in as soon as possible and figure out what was going on. Overall, amazing place and very friendly to those who are nervous about dentists!

Wisdom tooth extraction I needed surgery to have my wisdom tooth extracted, and the staff at Inverleith Dental Care took excellent care of me especially Chris and Krystal and made an anxious experience much better. I was talked through everything that would happen and were well looked after on the day of my surgery. Aftercare were also fully explained and I was given a check-up a fortnight later. Inverleith Practice has been my dentist for over 60yrs, so you can imagine the changes I have seen in that time ! My recent visit was an extra, as I had chipped a front tooth and Chris + assistant took great care whilst totally remodelling it. The whole experience, from the moment I was met at the door by the receptionist, was most professional and considering the present COVID restrictions was expertly coped with. I joined as a patient to IDC in October through word of mouth to start up on Invisalign treatment, best decision I’ve ever made! Not being able to have my teeth straightened up until recently has always been a huge insecurity for me, but from the day I had my consultation here I’ve had huge faith in them to change that all for me. I’m now half way through my treatment & every time I visit everyone is very friendly, COVID safe & professional! They are also great with appointment times & flexible to fit you in when really needed too. I had a broken tooth in the back of my mouth. The side of the tooth had come away. My dentist, Chris, placed a temporary cap on the tooth and arranged for a superb cap to be made to match the missing piece of tooth. It only took a few weeks and now it looks and feels better than ever. After having a poor night's sleep due to extreme discomfort, I asked for an emergency appointment. While my usual dentist Omar was not available, I was seen by Chris who was very thorough, showing me x-rays, talking through the options and prescribing antibiotics to deal with an abscess. Subsequently, after a further visit to Omar, an extraction took place and after-care arranged due to a potential complication down to medication that I had been taking. I moved to Inverleith Dentalcare from my previous Edinburgh dentist after an initial consultation for the Invisalign treatment a few years ago, which was advertised on Facebook. I was immediately blown away by how lovely, professional and warming the entire team were at ID and so straight away emailed to find out if they were accepting new patients! Recently, I went through the Invisalign treatment with my dentist Dr Chris Fowles and could not be more ecstatic with my final results. From start to finish Chris was so thorough with my treatment plan, videos, pictures and simulations of how my teeth were going to look and also how each step of the process would look and how my teeth would change. I am a perfectionist and Chris was so patient for me even at the end of my treatment when I wanted little bits of teeth filed/bonded to give me that final Hollywood (completely natural) smile! I am in love with my results and even if Invisalign/cosmetic dentistry is not required, I could not recommend Inverleith Dentalcare highly enough for any procedure or routine check-up/scale and polish! The entire team put you at ease as soon as you step in the door and the dentistry services are first class! Thank you everyone @ Inverleith Dentalcare :)

I've been attending this practice for more than 40 years though the personnel has obviously changed during this time. Since chemotherapy I've had various dental problems and on the most recent occasion a 50 year old filling needed replacing to save an extraction. I felt completely confident with Chris Fowles as he talks you through the procedure which is very reassuring. The most modern methods are used, some of which are amazing, such as the imaging of one's teeth and the complicated paraphernalia which these days make the procedures painless. The reception staff are efficient and it is helpful to be reminded of appointments. The benefit of coming to this dentist (which is at the opposite side of town from where I live incidentally!) are the speedy treatment, painfree procedures and having confidence in the ability of the dentist and hygienist.

My experience at the dentist has been fantastic! From walking in to the practice, to leaving, the whole experience feels very safe and clean. I’m made to feel at ease in these very uncertain times. Dr Omar Ali has been absolutely fantastic. I had a virtual consultation with him before deciding to proceed with the treatment, he is straight talking and didn’t make me feel pressured to go ahead with what we discussed. He thoroughly explained what would be involved in the process. I’m now almost at the end of my teeth whitening and bonding journey and I cannot thank him enough. He is a genius! He has totally transformed my smile, and made me feel confident again. If you’re considering going to along to the practice or getting an appontment with Omar, I couldn’t recommend it enough!

After moving to Edinburgh and finding it difficult to register with a new dentist due to Covid-19, I came across Inverleith Dentalcare and rang to enquire about registration. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and lovely, going out of their way to assist me and register me with Denplan. I had a new patient appointment booked for the following week (which was around an hour and very thorough), followed the next week by 2 teeth extractions (1 wisdom tooth) with Dr John McAleavey and Krystal. I was nervous about the procedure, but I shouldn't have been. John was great at explaining what was going on, which reassured me and helped me to relax. Both teeth were out in less than a minute and the whole thing was painless. I was given an aftercare pack with helpful tips and instructions. The healing process has been absolutely fine and I believe that this is because the procedure was so swift and calm. Everybody that I have met there has been really lovely and helpful. I would definitely recommend Inverleith Dentalcare! :-)

My most recent visit was necessitated because I chipped a tooth which exposed a filling and a rough edge. Chris Fowles was my dentist, full Covid-19 safeguards were in place both for the patient and staff. Chris explained initially what the treatment would be and throughout the process told me what he and the dental nurse were about to do. The old filling was removed and replaced with an upgraded eco friendly one. All was completed in no time at all and in my case completely painlessly. No rough edge, everything back to normal. Chris Folwes has been my dentist here for some time now. Only recently did I have a fairly minor but significant for me treatment. This was an "indirect composite restoration". I found his whole approach excellent - a very clear explanation of the issue and what could be done to resolve. I was particularly impressed by his explanation using photographic imaging. In the middle of a pandemic, the last thing you need is a dental emergency but that was the situation I found myself in recently. I managed to badly crack one of my teeth and I required an emergency dental appointment which I booked with Dr. Omar Ali, at the Inverleith Dentalcare clinic. Dr. Omar was very professional throughout the process, both in terms of the communication that took place before the appointment, making sure that I understood all possible outcomes and answering all of my questions, but also during the procedure which unfortunately ended up being a tooth extraction. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the level of attention and the measures that the stuff had put in place to minimise the possibility of covid-19 transmission, including hand sanitizer, enclosed boxes to keep your personal items and a protective suit and mask. Overall, I would highly recommend the clinic and Dr. Omar specifically, for the level of professionalism, the care that is taken to protect both patients and stuff from covid-19 transmission and for their friendly approach towards patients.

I have attended Inverleith Dental Care routinely for many years. Recently I had reason to replace a denture and I was not looking forward to it having had real difficulties in the past. Following a consultation with Neeraj we agreed a price and the process began. Following a number of visits for the usual impressions (actually far more advanced than 'usual') We then went into a succession of visits during which adjustments were gradually made until the final result was achieved. I cannot be more pleased with the attention to detail and also that despite the fact that in the end this took a total of twelve appointments the original agreed price was honoured. I think that what was most satisfying was that, although at times I felt that we should give up, Neeraj refused to be beaten, continuing to make tiny adjustments, with the result that I felt fully involved in achieving a successful outcome. 28th July 2020 My wife and I both went for a joint dental check-up for the first time since the lock-down . We were apprehensive , but our experience was excellent, as their precautions were extremely thorough and allayed any worries at all. These were: An appointment for a specific time , by phone, arranged , a few days ago. An explanation of procedures to be followed / a Covid health questionnaire to be submitted online . A reminder of the time the day before. At the closed front door ,after ringing the bell ,Darren,the Practice Manager,met my wife ,both wearing masks,and repeated questions about her health , before letting her in. Only one of us was allowed in (her appointment was at 8.15 a.m.) I waited nearby until she came out to fetch me. I repeated this process and was taken by Chris Fowles,the dentist ,to the examination room .My coat and mask were sealed in a box, and he showed me the PPE equipment they had installed ,one of which is a specialised extractor device to clear air in the room. After the check-up, ,with a feedback on the condition of my teeth,he escorted me back to the front door,both of us masked. The Waiting Room has two chairs in it,socially distanced. My wife and I are very fussy indeed and critical about services in general and we have been with this Practice now for 51 years.There have been changes in owners ,but it is as good as ever ,with the very latest dental technology. The staff are outstanding--Chris Fowles,our dentist,Michelle , his dental nurse,Charlotte,hygienist, and Darren the front desk manager are all extremely ,friendly,efficient and professional,putting one at ease . I would highly recommend this Practice to anyone. Mr Booth.

After many many years of suffering and fighting gum disease I arranged a consultation with Neeraj Puri to check out the possibilities and costs of having dental implants. Neeraj talked me through the procedures step by step and the costs. He recommended that I have all my top teeth extracted and that I would require 4 or 5 implants. I was really concerned about having all of my top teeth removed but Neeraj put me at complete ease and assured me that he would look after me on the day and would administer pain relief as necessary. After speaking to him I knew that I could trust him and although it was a daunting prospect I also knew that he would be the best possible person to carry out the procedure. I am absolutely ecstatic to say that I had the implants last week and I have had a permanent smile on my face ever since. It has been life changing for me. My teeth look amazing and every time I look in the mirror - which is now often - I cry with happiness. I would like to thank Neeraj and every one of the team for their support throughout - Caroline a million thanks for designing the beautiful teeth and Neeraj two million thanks for making it a reality.
