Had a great experience with Acorn dental. I had met with other dentists in the past to look at straightening my teeth but clear aligners wouldn’t have worked and other options I looked at were either extortionately priced or and/or too far away. I’m so glad I saw the poster for Acorn dental in the Barnwood post office! The staff were all friendly and professional, and Tim is obviously very skilled at his job. In the end I had my braces for about 8 months and during that time I had appointments every 2-4 weeks. Cannot recommend Acorn Dental enough. Nothing was too much trouble and at one point they managed to fit me in for a quick appointment within half an hour of me calling them…can’t beat that service!! Thanks Acorn Dental! 😁

Appointment times are always met without any rushing and the staff always seem to have time for your questions. The quality of the work is second to none. If you are nervous this is the place to go Dr. Wells is very gentle and will take all efforts to ensure you feel no pain. In these COVID-19 times the standard of hygiene seems to be excellent. A fantastic family dentist who provides professional, all round dental treatment at a price that is excellent value for money given the high level of care provided. Tim, Jane and the team are experts about all things dental and have kept my family's teeth in good shape for the past 6 years, providing the necessary care that has been required in a calm and relaxing environment. The children love visiting Tim for their checkups, and he always puts them at ease when they get in the chair. I never feel that any treatments they offer are in excess of what is required, and I have complete trust in them. They are very flexible when it comes to changing appointments and have been able to see me at short notice in the event of an emergency. I really cannot recommend them highly enough!

We've been with Tim, Jane and the team for many years now and we have always received excellent service and care. If we have a bit of an emergency they have always been able to see us quickly. I wasn't registered at the practice and was able to, as they have some spaces. Amy sent me over the forms via email, which were very straight forward and I sent them back. Amy was able to organise an appointment for me for the next day. On arrival, they have very clear and rigid procedures for Covid-compliance, which is very reassuring. Make sure you wait in your car and give them a ring when you arrive. When I was led in, Tim and his assistant were very friendly; they both clearly have a lot of experience between them and I was dealt with efficiently and courteously. Tim was able to explain my issue in detail and clearly enjoys his job, which makes a real difference. I would definitely recommend for anyone who is nervous or wants to change their dentist, to someone who is genuinely friendly! Thank you.

We couldn't get an NHS Dentist, having just moved into Gloucester during Covid. So have been really impressed with the service of the Dentist and Hygienist. At first it seems a little expensive, but actually you get a lot of attention to detail from them.

My wife & I have been using Acorn Dental Surgery for the last 25 years. Firstly at their London Road Surgery then ever since they moved to their current base in Barnwood Road. Like us you might find it difficult to find a dentist that suits your needs but once you do you tend to stick with them as we did. Tim is gentle, informative & thorough. A couple of years ago I decided to have a bridge to fill a childhood gap in my teeth, Tim talked me through it & the procedure went ahead without a hitch. I've now got a full set of teeth for the first time in over 50 years. The hygienist, Jane, is also very thorough & will point out where you might be falling down on your daily oral hygiene. We would recommend the Acorn Dental Practice to anyone.

If you are nervous of dentists, then you need to come and see Tim. He is sensitive, caring, compassionate, and very easy going. He gives you time and is never in a rush to get you over and done with. He will always put you at ease. The numbing gel he puts on your gums before administering the injection means you feel nothing from start to finish. I always work myself up making an appointment and coming to him, and whenever I'm in the dentists chair I always question why. I never feel any pain or discomfort at all. His work is incredibly professional and the white fillings he uses are very high quality. I would recommend Tim and his lovely dental assistant to anyone.

This is the best dental practice I have found and have been attending here for the last 15 years. The dentist is kind and caring. He has repaired my broken teeth quickly and pain free. His technique for numbing your mouth is the best I have ever experienced, to the extent I question why every other local anaesthetic I have had is so painful. I used to dread the hygienist but whilst not the most pleasant experience it is the least painful of any I have had elsewhere. If you are looking for a private dentist I would recommend this dental surgery.
