To say I was terrified of the dentist was an understatement. I hadn’t been for years after a bad experience, so I was worried my teeth were in an absolute state. But after having excruciating wisdom tooth pain for a whole year, I opted to visit The Limes. Straight away, I felt as if I had nothing to worry about and after having an extraction I was dreading, I came out feeling as if I’d conquered Everest. It’s simply because I was made to feel in total control, not as if I was being stupid for worrying. I’ve just visited this morning for my 3rd appointment, in which my heart didn’t jump out of my chest with worry. I’m totally comfortable at the dentist now, and I don’t think I’ll ever worry about treatment again. I’m unbelievably grateful to all staff, especially David, for helping me. If you’re looking for a friendly service, and especially if you’re nervous, I’d highly recommend these lovely people. 5 stars from me!!!

As someone who did not have very positive previous experiences of the dentist (and as someone who left visiting the dentist far too long as a result), I can only highly praise the team at the Limes Dental Practice. In particular, Dr David Stephens & hygienist Lisa Gibbs - who were both very understanding of my initial concerns and reticence. A brilliant practice with professional and friendly staff. Excellent treatment including the insertion of two crowns using up to date image technology - all made and put in place on the same day! Great care and attention to detail ensures the crowns fit perfectly. Really happy with the results.

In short, can’t recommend this practice enough My son used the practice which is why I decided to use them. My mother-in-law was taken ill and lost her denture, my son arrange for her to have a new one made, sadly she died before she had the denture fitted. My son went to the practice to collect the denture and pay the bill to be told by PIP that there was no charge. Not only that a few days later, addressed to my son and the family, we received a condolence card, what compassion. The above example and the way my son has been treated, was the deciding factor, in my decision to use the practice, no regrets. I was seen by Andrew and have received nothing but first-class treatment, nothing was too much trouble. My condition left me with several treatment options, these were all fully explained to me with no pressure to have any particular treatment, giving me options and feeling confident that I had made the right decision. I would like to share my experience late June 2022 at The Limes Dental Practice.Manyy years ago I had treatment at this very building then owned by another Dentist,I had my back teeth removed lower case both sides at the time I was put to sleep I was in my teens .....This left me with a fear that I could not explain I was terrified of the dentist .....I needed to face my fear so I decided to go back to the very building where it all happened....As you can imagine I was worried no..... terrified.....All I can say is I needn't have been from the moment I called to make the appointment the lady on reception Pip was amazing I explained my fear and she reassured me and put me at ease I asked if I could bring a friend for support that was not a problem Dr Andrew was my dentist what a difference this man made he quickly made me feel relaxed and calm ...his energy is amazing he has the ability to totally make you feel at ease my experience was life changing and I got through my session feeling incredibly relaxed ....Just wanted to say thank you all at the practice and also to tell anyone looking for a dentist that cares this is the one with very professional and caring staff.....Regards Caroline.

Cannot recommend the Limes Dental Practice enough ! This morning I had to have my wisdom tooth out and was extremely anxious beforehand . From the moment I entered the practice I was made to feel at ease by Pip. When I was called into the room David (dentist ) and Sue (dental nurse) helped me by listening to my worries and reassuring me . When removing the tooth , David was extremely professional and calm talking through things and also praising me for doing so well . After having problems at my previous dentist I was so nervous about going back to the dentist, but I love it at Limes it’s the “spa” of dentists. I always feel welcome, relaxed and made to feel at ease. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They really listen to your concerns and talk you through everything, constantly making sure you are happy. Everything is really clear, they are thorough and you really feel taken care of. They don’t just book you in for things unnecessarily, if they don’t feel you need a hygienist appointment they will tell you so. They have a great dental plan in place too. I’ve always been able to get an appointment very quickly when I’ve needed it. Pip is fantastic and is really the voice and face of Limes and David my dentist is so friendly and instantly puts you at ease. I’m very relieved to not be so nervous going to the dentist anymore. I arrived at Limes dental practice for the first time with a tooth pain. I was worried and struggling to get an appointment in Gloucester, Limes start marking the difference soon they answer the phone, after I explain my situation I was calmed by the person on the phone and booked an appointment for the next hour, this was about 10 months ago. Since then I decided to start the treatment that I was delaying to start on my holidays to Portugal with me being a national of that country. Relaxed, professional and meticulous was the image left of Dr. Andrew to me. I had a long journey since then and I’m gonna keep being a client. The atmosphere and the humanism on every member of staff really calmed me down and make me feel safe in every appointment. Hope they keep the good work, growing and putting the patient first. I can not recommend The Limes enough! I am guilty of having avoided the dentist for many years ( a fear instilled in me by my childhood dentist, she was mean and scary! ) but after a piece of my tooth fell out, I decided that I just needed to get over my fear and get seen. My sister-in-law recommended that I go private and had a lot of praise for this surgery and boy am I glad I listened. For starters the lady on reception is super friendly and helped me book in my appointments with ease, making sure it could be worked around my work schedule which was great. Andrew was brilliant, really took the time to examine and x-ray my mouth and then thoroughly explained the issues I was having and how to avoid any further damage to my teeth. I have just had my filling done by him and it was an absolute breeze, no pain, no discomfort, he has put all of my fears of going to the dentist to rest. He is very professional and equally really lovely and you can tell he cares for his patients and saving their precious teeth! Again, can't recommend enough!

My mum has recently had a crown fitted in a day and, after visiting many dentists over the years, believes that Andrew Connolly and the rest of Limes Dental Practice perform the best dentistry work she’s had. The crown in a day fitting was explained to her in a calm and reassuring way, putting all her worries at ease and the procedure itself was quick and painless. With the 3D scan there was no need for uncomfortable impressions and the whole procedure was completed in a day, resulting in a time-saving experience that she would thoroughly recommend.

Great for nervous patients. Go here if you care about your teeth! I had struggled for years to find a dentist that I trusted enough to take care of my very sensitive teeth and understand that the pain I had been through in the past made me very wary of dentists. Even during my initial phone call with Pip the receptionist, I was put at ease with her soothing voice and reassuring manner. She remembers who I am every time I walk in the practice which is quite a skill but very much appreciated and a reflection of the great customer service you receive from her. Due to the length of time that I was too scared to go to the dentist I required a lot of work and spent a lot of time at the practice seeing Andrew the dentist, Lisa the hygienist and Sophie the dental nurse. Each one of them made me feel so comfortable and relaxed and even though my nerves made me a very difficult patient, I felt like they had all the time in the world for me to make sure they did a good job. At the start of my treatment I was adamant that I would require sedation but with support and encouragement from the team, I am now able to undergo any procedure feeling relaxed and confident. I am especially grateful to Andrew for introducing me to Cerezen which has made a world of difference to the sensitivity of my teeth - I didn’t even know I clenched my teeth! You can tell that they are a very tight knit team and even for just 20 minutes every 6 months, (a point that I wouldn’t have reached if it wasn’t for Andrew, may it continue to stay that way! 🤞) you feel welcomed into their family.

Wow what can I say, 1st time in my life I have found a dentist that cares and does what is promised, I have had some major awful incidents involving serious pain and mistrust at the hands of dentists over the years. I have not seen a dentist in 15 years due to the fear I have been left with, until now. I plucked up the courage to visit limes dental practice last week, shaking, crying, not sure I would see the appointment out. I met Andrew Connolly who within minutes calmed me down. He explained everything in a very calming way. Took it at my pace, 4 pain free extractions later, not completely over the fear (yet) but I'm feeling calmer than I have in years, about my ongoing treatment.

I’m so happy with my new crown. All taken care of at the practice in one day! Very up to date equipment I have not seen before which made my crown on site. No waiting for 2 weeks for it to come via a third party. It was pain free and Andrew is patient, friendly and puts you at ease if you are feeling nervous by talking you through every step. I went today for a root canal treatment and root extraction. I was a little nervous but I need not have been. The procedure was painless (I didn’t even feel the injection going in to numb the tooth / gum). The rubber dam used to protect me and the dentist was great as you can rest your lips on it so your mouth / jaw doesn’t ache whilst keeping it open. I cannot recommend the practice highly enough.. painless, great aftercare and everything explained thoroughly and in detail.

I have been with The Limes Dental for about nine years now. Dr Andrew Connolly took over about 5 years ago and has transformed the surgery. It is now a bright, modern practice with friendly staff who know their patients. I have never had my teeth in better care and since Dr Connolly took over that care has improved drastically - he is a great dentist whose care is second to none. I needed some crowns fitted to some of my teeth and was quite nervous about this as I hadn't had anything like this done for a very long time . All the treatment was completely pain free - didn't even feel anything from the anaesthetic injections. Most of my crowns were done using moulds that were sent away and two weeks later a ceramic crown was fitted to replace the temporary one fitted whilst you wait but now, after a lot of tech investment in the surgery, they can make crowns on site for the same day! They have invested in machine that will make your own permanent crown in a few hours - this makes life so much easier as it can be done start to finish in one day. I would easily recommend The Limes to anyone.

Really calm , friendly and professional practice. I highly recommend the limes, especially for those who are nervous about visiting the dentist, as I am. Each step of my root filling procedure was clearly explained and I felt no pain at all. The latest techniques are used and the dentist (Andrew) gave me a variety of treatment options regarding my fractured tooth. I was seen as an emergency patient where the tooth was temporarily dressed and I had the first part of my treatment in less than 24 hours. The surgery has been recently refurbished and has a clean, modern and upmarket feel. The reception staff and dental nurses are really friendly and helpful. There is convenient off road parking for several cars right in front of the surgery.

Can't praise these guys enough! I'm petrified of dentists and hadn't been able to see one for over 20 years. Andrew is excellent. He dealt with my fears easily and helped me hugely by taking things at my pace and explaining everything. I'm still scared, but i have the tools to manage it. Gail, my hygienist, is wonderful! She's patient, funny and understanding. She also understands my fear and does everything she can to make my visits stress free and painless. Sophie is an awesome dental nurse and Pip makes everything a breeze and she really takes the time to get to know people. When i go to Limes, i feel safe and looked after. It's definitely a step towards curing my fears.

If ever you were to say that going to the dentist was a pleasure, you would be talking about "The Limes". The staff are all wonderfully efficient, as well as extremely pleasant, creating an ambience not normally associated with a dentist waiting room. This brings me nicely onto the subject of waiting. I can only assume that Dr Connolly allows more time per patient than I have been used to, keeping waiting time to a minimum and resulting in an unhurried appointment. I have recently finished a comprehensive plan of treatment, which I can honestly say that as a result, my teeth are in the best condition that I can ever remember, so I must thank Dr Connolly for that and all of the staff who contributed to my pleasant experience at "The Limes".

Where was Dr Andrew Connolly when I was 21? (at primary school, I suspect).If he'd been my dentist then, I'm sure I wouldn't have needed as much dental treatment throughout my life. His attention to detail, full explanations and love of BBC 6Music make him the consummate professional. Over the past 4 years, I've had a programme of treatment, including crowns but more significantly, 2 implants. On both occasions, Andrew explained the procedures in detail, pointing out the advantages and possible barriers he may face; this honesty and attention to detail makes you realise you're in the presence of an outstanding practitioner. I now have a full set of teeth, follow a strict cleaning programme (thanks also to Lisa) and feel confident about my dental health going forwards! The implants are wonderful; no pain involved and I quickly got used to them. I'm so grateful. Going to The Limes is like going to see good friends; it's always lovely to see Pip, Jenny and Sophie, who are all so friendly and professional. I highly recommend the practice (if you haven't already guessed).

Andrew put my mind at rest and did a comprehensive check of my teeth, including x-rays. The height of professionalism and service. I rarely go to the dentist and having moved from Gloucestershire to Oxfordshire 4 years ago I just never bothered registering with a dentist. I have recently been suffering from spates of toothache that had become unbearable at times. I was still reluctant to see a dentist about this. The pain became unbearable and I called my local dentists and 111 to try and get an emergency appointment - they all basically said tough luck! I contacted Limes and got an appointment for the next day. The dentist, David Stephens, immediately diagnosed the problem and gave very clear advice on the options available meaning that I could make a considered decision about how to proceed. The pros and cons of each option were well explained and I was not criticised for having absented from seeing a dentist for such a long time (as my local dentists had made me feel). A short term resolution was provided and I then saw David again a week later for an extraction. Again this was relatively pleasant and comfortable. David has a very professional and calm manner and explains the procedure and options in layman’s terms allowing me to make the decision. I also saw the hygienist who was also lovely and friendly and did not criticise me for having not been to a dentist for years. She simply got on with the job and gave advice for the future care of my teeth. Finally, the reception staff were also very professional, friendly and accommodating and I was always seen on time and not left waiting. However, the waiting room is nicely appointed and is fairly quiet so I was relaxed whilst waiting for my appointment. I would definitely recommend Limes and in particular David, who is an extremely proficient dentist.

I've always had great experiences with this dental practice. I stopped going to the Dentist after I had moved away and my teeth had got into a bit of a poor state. Lisa Gibbs (hygienist) has done a fantastic job of getting my teeth and gums healthy again and most importantly told me how to sustain them. She's very knowledgable and easy to talk to! Pip on reception is always welcoming amd helpful. My dentist Dave has also given me some fantastic advice and helped me get my teeth a few shades whiter! Going to the dentist used to be a fretful and anxiety provoking experience, but Andy is quite simply the best dentist I have ever seen. He is extremely friendly and easy to trust. He's always careful to explain exactly what needs to be done and happy to explore all of the options open to me. I required root canal surgery during my last visit, it was touch and go as to whether I was going to lose my tooth, but Andy went above and beyond, using specialist techniques and oodles of patience to save my tooth. Made me smile again I have not been to the dentist in many years (five to be exact). But when part of my tooth fell out the other evening I decided it was time to get over this hurdle and get back into my dentist. Talking to friends and family many people said they didn’t use their nhs dentist anymore due to bad experiences and recommended I tried a private practice. When I arrived I was welcomed by their beautiful and friendly receptionist who made me feel relaxed. The dentist himself came down to get me from the reception area. He was personable and didn't rush me into sitting in the chair. He discussed the issues I’d had with my teeth and what my concerns were. He made me feel relaxed and at ease. After he had checked over my teeth we started a filling the re build of my broken tooth. I had to have an injection and the thought of this terrified me. Andrew talked me through the whole process and encouraged me to focus on my breathing and relaxing my shoulders. I was shocked as it didn’t hurt at all. I felt like the whole process was done with care and they were able to take the time to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. I was so relived by the end of it I had a little cry. Was so different from all the other experiences I’ve had sat in “that chair”. Thank you Limes. Although I’m not totally cured I am certainly on my journey to caring for my smile properly.

Twas the week before Christmas and one of my teeth broke off from below the gum line on the Sunday night. This was traumatic for someone who never has anything wrong with her teeth. I made an emergency appointment with Andrew for the Monday where he cemented the tooth back on with a warning that it might not work. In deed it didn't. So on the Wednesday I had 2 appointments . In the first he prepared my remaining half tooth and performed micro surgery on my gum. This was followed by 3D scans. Throughout the whole procedure I felt no pain and suffered no bleeding. I returned a couple of hours later for the second appointment. Andrew had made a new half tooth from the 3D scan. It was a perfect fit and within minutes I was ready to go out enjoying the Christmas feasting. I cannot praise the practice enough for their care and attention and the extremely fast turnaround in making and fitting the replacement tooth which is indistinguishable from the original.

Ok so it’s not often you say I loved going to the dentist but I did. Every one was so professional, friendly and talked me through the treatment in a way I could understand and I didn’t feel they rushed through that part just to say they had done it. The hygienist Lisa Gibbs was fantastic and I loved her “it’s like marmite you’ll love this or hate it but it’s good for you” scenario. In fact I loved it my teeth felt so clean after and she even explained why it’s so important to have a hygienist see you every 6 months which never had been explained so well to me before. i booked there and then for six months ahead to ensure it’s done and I don’t let it slide as I have in the past. I’m so glad I switched to this practice even though it’s an hours drive from my home it’s well worth it.

I spent an entire day filming the Limes' Team. I was given FULL behind-the-scenes access to every element of the practice. I was, of course, fully briefed in terms of what 'not' to touch and where 'not' to stand during the procedures, but other than that I was able to ask any questions and film everything! I was absolutely bowled over by the transparency. It was obvious they offer the highest standard of care, cleanliness and approachability. The implant I filmed (gripping) was exactly like filming a surgical procedure in hospital. The care and attention that went into eliminating the spread of germs was really impressive and the same could be said of a standard check-up to be honest. There was high-tech dental equipment everywhere which, as I saw, meant that clients could leave the same day with amazing solutions rather than lengthy problems! My ethos in life is credit where credit is due and it certainly is here. I remember asking all the staff with a little chuckle - what about people who are scared of the dentist? This is no laughing matter to them and it's something they take extremely seriously. They are a family practice and have amazing new ways of helping absolutely anyone of any age with the 'fear' and their track record is brilliant. They were always being given cakes and flowers by their clients, which I thought was a lovely touch. And yes sugar is the devil but they are human beings who were extremely grateful for cake! I felt really compelled to write this review because I was truly impressed with what I saw. I would say this is a very forward thinking practice with customer care and amazing results at its core. I wish I was in the catchment...

Went in with extreme pain after countless visits to other dentist's with no relief. Saw Andrew and he put me at ease very quickly and came to a probably diagnosis of Trigeminal Neuralgia. Now being co treated for this by Doctors and the Neurology Department at the Hospital. Follow up care by Andrew has been excellent and has identified other issues which are being sorted swiftly and with great empathy. Andrew put my mind at rest beforehand, distracted me with a bit of chat, and clearly explained the whole process, not playing down the risks, but making it clear that he had a way to handle whatever might happen. I had a wisdom tooth extraction yesterday at Limes and everything went way better than I expected. My tooth was only partially erupted, infected and had grown at a weird angle so was definitley more than a routine exraction. I was dreading it going in but I felt no pain and more surprisingly I didn't even feel it come out, before I knew it everything was done and I was gearing up to go home. I've not had great experiences with dentists in the past, for one reason or another but I'm happy I've found Limes now and my new permanent dentist. Thanks to everyone at Limes, especially Dr. Connolly and the dental nurse yesterday (sorry I didn't catch the name) for putting me at ease despite no doubt looking white as a sheet!
