As a nervous patient who has a history of avoiding the dentist at all costs, I have been really impressed with the treatment and service I have received at Parkview. Ash was very friendly and understanding, explaining everything she was doing and letting me take little breaks. Will now be coming for regular check ups without the nerves

Very helpful reception and a quick appointment. Mal was great! A gentle manner, a virtually pain free injection and a filling of a broken incisor that is hardly visible unless you look very closely. She and her nurse were friendly and quietly efficient. I couldn't have asked for better treatment.

Visited the practice on Tuesday and received excellent dental treatment from Ash and her helpful dental nurse. The required work needed removal of an old filling and simultaneous repair to the chipped tooth. Ash repaired the damage excellently and demonstrated both meticulous and professional care. The procedure was clearly not straight forward, however, I was regularly kept informed about how things were going and what steps needed to be undertaken. In addition to having very competent consultants the reception staff are extremely helpful and always provide excellent customer care. I periodically receive support and advice from the resident dental hygienist and have found Rachel’s interventions to be highly effective. Overall a great practice to be connected with and could not recommend it more highly.

Alex was brilliant as always. He always puts you at ease. Will even change the radio station if you ask nicely LOL. All staff are very friendly, professional and personable. Dental nurses are all amazing. Had a dental bridge done and used a very flash new computer to take the impressions which was brilliant for me as am a gagger 😆 Always have a giggle which is good when you are a bit nervous. Great first experience with a private dentist. After years of neglect by my NHS dentist, my teeth were falling apart a bit. Dr Mal was absolutely fantastic from day 1. I had a lot to get fixed, so was nervous about the cost, but Mal helped me figure out signing up to denplan to make things more affordable and designed my treatment plan based on only what I needed. First time ever to have needles and not feel it as the work was done so gently, I couldn’t believe it! Thank you for fixing my smile!

Lovely friendly reception team when booking appointment. Great Dentist assessed my teeth, cleaned them up and they looked great and offered me very helpful advice to help keep my teeth and gums healthy. Felt at ease due to covid-secure instructions being in place.

I booked this visit 7 weeks in advance and was required to pay a 50% deposit, as it was my first visit to the practice. I arrived on time but was kept waiting for 5-10 minutes in a very large, cold and draughty reception area (no doubt thus due to Covid precautions). The dentist I saw, Mr Adam Hunter, was straightforward, approachable and down-to-earth - and conservative in his approach to treatment - I have a tooth where treatment could plausibly have been advised, but Mr Hunter recommended that it be left as is for the time being. My kind of dentist! I was able to book my next check-up in 6 months without paying in advance, unlike another local practice I could name.

I’m editing this review as I was talking to a friend today (we are both private paying patients and have been for years) and we realised we have totally different experiences of your reception team, despite always having similar queries. He seems to be welcomed and helped in a friendly manner, whereas I seem to be spoken down to and on occasion told off for not following the ‘correct processes’ of booking appointments, (despite the fact that I don’t work for you, and therefore wouldn’t know your processes, and your processes are not written down anywhere on your website). I also realised today that I’ve been putting off booking my next check up for months as I am so worried about how I’ll be spoken to when trying to book my next appointment and can’t use the website as an alternative through fear of being told off again. Whether your team means for it to come across like this or not, that’s my experience sadly and it adds to the anxiousness I feel when booking and attending appointments. Lowering my previous star rating as I’m essentially paying for a service that I’m too afraid to use for fear of how I’ll be spoken to.

Practice is always spotless. Chairs in reception are still wiped down after a patient has vacated the seat. You pay first so you can leave surgery straight away after treatment. Excellent dentists. Especially Mr Hunter the practice owner. I am quite nervous going to the dentist but after a few bad experiences elsewhere, I find it a relief to be in safe hands. Dental receptionists and nurses are lovely . Always polite and friendly.

I have been attending Parkview Detail Centre since I was a child (when it was based down the road). Even though they have stopped treating patients on the NHS, I remained with them, as did my children because the service is excellent. My husband was very frustrated with having his appointments cancelled at his surgery and now he is registered at Parkview too. Our dentist, Tom, who is new to the practice is friendly and professional, as is Steph, the hygienist. The nurses and reception team are also lovely. I get email and text reminders well in advance of my appointments with forms sent in good time to ensure they are aware of any changes to your health. The centre is airy, scrupulously clean and all Covid precautions are taken. I recommend this practice.

Wouldn't hesitate to have her remove any more in the future, the cost was £275, which I thought was enough. I also had to go to Bernes Street to have a special XRay which cost me another £55, I thought that was very expensive!

It was clear from the outset that a great deal of thought and effort had gone into the extra hygiene and social distancing arrangements brought about by the coronavirus precautions. I also have additional mobility issues that were soon catered for without fuss or delay, with a ground floor surgery being cleaned and prepared for me. All of the practice staff delivered a masterclass in how customer service should be delivered, and I was extremely satisfied with the overall experience from start to finish.

Received treatment from Parkview Dental care on 21st August 2020 from Andrea my allocated dentist and as usual the attention and care to my teeth was excellent and all completed in a friendly and assuring manner. She was ably assisted by her dental assistant and despite the Covid restrictions they ensured my appointment was comfortable and a rewarding experience. On arriving the staff have ensured that all patients abide by the social distancing regulations and have incorporated a safe and sensible process which ensures the health and wellbeing of both patients and staff. I would recommend this practice without hesitation and confident that all the dentists are as professional and proficient as Andrea, although due to my personal experiences to date, I hope she remains my personal dentist.

However, at Parkview the atmosphere is always pleasant and relaxed, moreover the welcome shown by both my dentist Alex, and hygienist Steph is always reassuring. Similarly, Steph also explains her treatment really well in addition to advising the correct method to maintain and keep my teeth in good shape. Adam is always thoroughly professional and explains any work required, whilst also giving tips on looking after my teeth and any areas to focus on. I also see the hygienist and appointments are managed sensibly to give me the best possible regular care. I rarely have to wait for more than a few minutes in 5s waiting room (which is bright, airy and comfortable) and I value the flexibility of both early (8.30) and Saturday appointments which fit in well with my working hours. Text message reminders of appointments are useful. The receptionists are always helpful and happy to take the time to look for appointments which suit me. I have no hesitation in recommending Parkview Dental Centre and indeed have already done so.

My family and I have been using Parkview Dental Centre for many years (and before it became Parkview) and that says it all really, because if they weren't great at what they do we'd not be with them any more. I was super impressed with Sophie and her nurse during my visit yesterday as between them they managed to fill and bring back to life a tooth that had virtually nothing left of it and could so easily have just been taken out. I rang Parkview after I had had a very bad experience with my last dentist. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and courteous while I explained that I was trying to find a new dentist to look reasonably urgently at a dental issue that had occurred on the previous day. I was very impressed that she was willing to ask the various dentists at the practice if they would be able to see me the same day even though I was not a registered patient. To my surprise and relief I was offered an appointment straight away as I live fairly near to the practice. I saw Emma who was very welcoming and proved to be a fantastic dentist. I really don’t think I have ever had such competent dentistry on my teeth. She explained everything that she would do before she started and was continually checking that I was happy throughout the procedure. At the end Emma showed me her work in a mirror and to be honest, I can hardly see that my tooth has a filling in it at all! Really excellent! I had no hesitation in registering with the practice and am very glad to have found them.

I have never had a problem with any of them and when I’ve needed an urgent appointment I have always been seen within a day or two. Brilliant service. I had to have the remains of a tooth removed and was given full details as to what was going to happen by the dentist, Alex. Pre checks were done and the procedure took only a few moments (with no pain!). After care was also good with instructions as to what to do to avoid infection and what to do if I had a problem. I felt very confident in the dentist, and his assistant, who appeared knowledgeable and very competent and passed on the information and instructions in a clear and friendly manner. Feedback on first visit since Coronavirus protocol: I filled in forms in advance as instructed but found it impossible to check in when I arrived. I phoned reception from car park but couldn't get through. The web info says you can check in but only once you reach the surgery - I think it needs a better system of registering arrivals - even calling out from doorway to check new arrivals. There are, understandably dire consequences we've all recognised for no shows, but it's frustrating to arrive before time and then be unable to let anyone know that you are there. The messaging needs clarifying. Also the forms gave me a scan code at the end which I tried but took me to a completely different website. The service from the hygienist once I got in was, as usual, impeccable!

Friendly receptionists, always do their best to oblige with fitting me in if I need to change appointments,or in the past if I have required an emergency treatment. This time I had a filling missing, no pain but other problems with infection. Only booked for a check up and as I thought a replacement filling was required. Abscess was found to be forming underneath so I was offered the removal of the tooth, which I readily accepted as feeling below par. The dentist made me feel totally at ease as I am a very nervous patient. No further problems and my mouth infection is so much better 24 hrs later so Thank you Parkview Dental Centre.

Finally, in my 50s, I have found a dental service that I feel comfortable with. The two elements that make the difference for me are firstly the sense of space and light in the building, especially the consulting rooms. This seems to balance out the claustrophobic feelings that I usually get at the dentist’s. Secondly, and really importantly, is the great communication. Adam talks to you, rather than across you, and explains what he is doing every step of the process. This practice is highly recommended by me, and for the first time in decades I have no anxiety at all about going regularly rather than just in a crisis.

It is always a pleasant environment at Parkview Dental Centre, very polite receptionists and large open area to wait in, (maybe a few motoring books as well as others to read). I have found over many years they are very close to appointment times and Steph (hygenist) and Sophie (dentist) are very polite and do a great job. One suggestion, could a picture be put on ceiling above the dental chair to distract, say a large "Wheres Walley" or a lovely scenic view. Just a thought as we cannot converse while having treatment.

I recently had to attend the dental surgery at Parkview in Ipswich. I was seen by Andreea Salcianu and subsequently i had a tooth extraction.During the whole process Andreea explained the proceedure (not having been to a dentist for over 4 years, as not one of the places i like to visit) and calmed my nerves down. The extraction was quick and painless, eased by Andreeas professional manner.I followed the advice given for the aftercare and it has healed up nicely. I was surprised to receive a follow up phone call from Andreea asking how i was feeling. Overall the whole team from dentist, nurses and receptionists very professional in all aspects. Mr Kirkwood drilled the old crowns off, xrayed to ensure there was no infection and took a great deal of trouble to take various impressions. He was very particular to ensure that the new NHS crowns would be the correct colour, size and shape and fitted temporary crowns. At my second vist two weeks later the permanent crowns were fitted and I am very pleased with them. The entire, lengthy treatment was carried out painlessly, skilfully abd courteously from beginning to end. Thank you, Mr Kirkwood and Stephanie, his assistant.
