Catherine is just the best dentist I have ever been treated by and I’ve had a fair few over the years! If you are anxious then she is your woman! The practice is friendly, relaxed, people centred and the team go above and beyond for their patients showing real compassion, empathy and care. You will go in and out smiling, it’s not meant to be fun is it but that’s why this practice ( well Catherine!) is so unique!!

The entire team here are Amazing!! I think it’s fair to say I am petrified of going dentist (previous bad experiences when I was younger) but everyone here goes above and beyond to make it as positive an experience as possible. After 5 years of being a patient here I no longer cry (before, during or after) a check up. I cannot explain how huge an achievement this is! Not only that but I recently broke a tooth while on holiday and panic set in. However, with an incredible amount of patience and reassurance I survived the rest of the holiday and even managed to relax a little. When I was back they expertly repaired my tooth with minimal discomfort. They have done an expert job as always. It is rare to find a team as skilled as the ladies here and can’t thank them all enough!

I first went to see Catherine and team in 2005, my teeth were in a mess, discoloured and not in good shape generally. Within no time at all Catherine had completely changed all of that. My teeth are now white and well maintained. The customer service and care is second to non. Without them I would undoubtedly have a full set of dentures by now. All treatment options are fully explained in a very friendly and helpful way and I am helped to make the right decisions about any treatment may I need.I have had quite a few emergencies over the last few years, but they always manage to be able to get me fitted in quickly with a convenient appointment. It’s a calm and very friendly environment and you are soon at ease in a very modern and up to date surgery. Catherine is always updating the equipment and surroundings to ensure you get the best possible treatment and patient care. Catherine was very approachable and made me feel relaxed and safe, she reassured me that I would be getting the best care. Additional to my Dental Phobia, recently I became very ill and the treatment I required at Harrogate General Hospital was going to affect my oral health. Catherine and her team went above and beyond their patient welfare service, in supporting me both physically and emotionally. Catherine Contact the Consultant and Medical team directly (with my consent) and implemented appropriate oral care to reduce the risk. through my treatment period and after Catherine kept a close eye on my oral health and made sure that I was using the correct prescribed tooth paste and mouth wash. I would recommend Burley House Dental Practice to anybody they are defiantly a Patient Centered Practice that are pleasant and provide an exceptional and professional service both front of House (reception) and surgery.

A very positive experience. Catherine is a very professional dentist who gives you a frank and honest appraisal before starting any work. She fully laid out all my options and also the future necessities of treatment depending on each option so I could make the right decision about what type of procedure I had. The crown and filling repairs I had were time consuming and at no time was I in any pain or discomfort and she handled my care excellently! The whole practice is friendly and approachable and it very much sets a relaxing scene before you go in so no need to worriy about being nervous, they're all very friendly and helpful, especially I imagine if you're a little dental phobic. I would like to highly recommend this dental practice. My husband and I have been patients for over ten years and have received excellent care. All the staff at Burley House Dental Centre are hospitable and professional. Both Catherine and Jane are wonderful dentists and have been very compassionate about my dental phobia. After only a few visits I felt very comfortable and any time I needed fillings they took time to put me at ease. In urgent episodes of toothache the receptionists have always managed to find a prompt appointment and with speedy intervention, my symptoms have soon eased. I had my most easy going and relaxing dentist trip here. As most people I’m not fond of going to the dentist but all the staff made me feel really welcome and relaxed. From the receptionist to the dentist you’re made to feel calm as you walk in the door. Can’t recommend this dentist surgery enough... Compassionate and understanding staff, really gentle treatment where you feel completely ‘in the know’ about what they’re doing and a relaxed friendly surgery. To go further... I’ve just finished some treatment and for the first time in about 2 years I’m not in pain... and while on the NHS (no disrespect meant) I was told i would need to lose the tooth that was causing the pain Catherine (dentist here) has been able to save it. They are fantastic with nervous (borderline hysterical patients - aka me), super flexible with appointment times and easy to contact to book/remind/rearrange etc so definitely go here if you need a dentist!

Mr daughter, Nicola, loves going to the dentist even though Catherine tells her she is rubbish at keeping her teeth clean, Nicola just laughs! The atmosphere is so friendly and calm at Burley House, Clare is so helpful with claims and is always ready with a cup of coffee. Clare always books me in when she is on duty and not Helen and Emma is always the first one to try anything edible I bring! Fantastic dental practice! Managed to diagnose periapical abscess over the phone based off a phone camera picture! Walked me through the aftercare step-by-step, explaining the reasoning behind each step. Very good humoured, put me well at ease, would highly recommend. Price is not bad either.

I've been a patient of Catherine for somewhere in the region of 15 years now. Catherine has seen me through both upper and lower braces, wisdom teeth removals, and my general whiny attitude when it comes to any slight discomfort. Like a piranha, although perhaps not to the same extent, my teeth are very important to me. Therefore, when I went to university for the first time at the age of 18 and received a routine check-up in Portsmouth, with a dentist who wasn't nearly as adept or as observant as Catherine to my individual needs, I decided it was worth travelling the country to keep my dentist. Catherine and her team are wonderfully supportive of my long-distance dental care, always friendly and with a pleasant sense of humour. A special mention to Clare whose astute response to my symptoms following a wisdom tooth extraction saved me a lot more unnecessary pain and enabled me to return to work. The experience at this practice could not be more different from my childhood memories. All the team are fabulous and everyone does their utmost to put you at ease.
