As someone who is normally TERRIFIED of dentists, I can honestly say this is the nicest, friendliest dental practice I've ever been to. I only had an emergency appointment , but this will be my go-to dentist from now on! Thanks for making me feel so at ease :)

Been coming here for just under 10yrs, and gone through quite a lot of dentists. But they have all been great. Even seeing Mr Martin, who was wonderful with my youngest and getting him the right people to see. Staff are lovely. But those stairs are steep and narrow

I had not been to a dentist in over 20 years due to previous trauma, but after getting a gum infection I finally plucked up the courage and signed up here. All of the staff are pleasant and welcoming and the dental staff did everything they could to explain all the processes and keep me calm/distracted!
More recently I had another dental emergency and under the current virus restrictions the dentist promptly spoke to me on the phone before making me an appointment. Throughout I felt safe and they took strict precautions to ensure we were all kept safe. I ended up having to have a wisdom tooth removed, which I imagine is daunting for anyone, but I can honestly say I felt NOTHING! Not even the needle for the anaesthetic! The tooth was removed with no pain and even in the couple of days after I had a very mild ache in my jaw but nothing more!
If you need to register for a new dentist or are thinking of changing your dental surgery I would highly recommend.

It would have been 5 stars until recently. My excellent dentist Mr Martin has now retired and I am so sorry I never got to say goodbye. He was an excellent dentist who provided excellent care and treatment for 30 years. Sadly now things are very different and the surgery has kept cancelling my appointment with them and in all this has happened 3 times and I would have had to have waited another 4 weeks at the earliest for another one. My original 6 month appointment was meant to be in April but the earliest I would have got an appointment was in July. I have had to register with another dentist as I thought the wait was unacceptable. The decision to change dentists was not helped by a friend of mine who used to see My Martin seeing a different dentist in April who was not at all good and she is unsure if she will return to Winchester Avenue either. It looks like things are not as good now Mr Martin has gone but I want to wish him a happy and healthy retirement.

Edit from previous review that I acknowledge was harsh. Had a conversation with the new practice (joint) owner today and concluded that there had been a case of misinformation given by reception (which I was advised will be rectified) and that certain patient notes had not been transferred over when Mr Martin retired.
Treatment received today was good. Conversation was a little awkward, but I think we both acknowledged frustration in different ways and I agreed with communicating directly with the practice first in the future if I'm unhappy with treatment received.

I was there for emergency and staff was more than great and my experience is giving them 5 of 5 stars. I have allergies to anestesia but dentist definitely knows what he is doing

Great surgery. Welcoming, friendly and very helpful reception staff, competent dental nurses and excellent dentist. Sukhjit Lidder offers calm competence and top rated expertise, he listens to his patient and gives utmost care alongside his highly proficient skills. I definitely recommend this surgery and am so relieved to find Winchester Dentistry as good as it ever was.

I have been with this Dental Surgery for many years and have had no problem getting an appointment whenever I have needed one. Obviously, I don't enjoy going to the Dentist but I am put at ease whenever I go. No problems at all.
