I can't recommend Gaynor, Charlotte, Ruby and colleagues too highly. Extremely professional, friendly and client-oriented. So say nothing of the (huge) amount of investment they have ploughed into hygiene in general and anti-covid protection in particular. My favourite dental practice ever.

I cannot speak highly enough of my recent experience at this Practice. I'm extremely nervous of visiting the dentist and had neglected visiting for a good few year. My first visit to Charlotte was fantastic, I was put completely at ease and she and Faiza expertly explained what was being done and when which really helped. Best dental cleaning experience I have ever had. The mouth piece made of soft material the hygienist uses allows you to keep your mouth opened without too much stretch . The machine with warm water is perfect for sensitive teeth and the die to detect scale is genius. I recommend very highly!

I have taken my daughters (now older teens) to 38 Devonshire Street for dental treatment since they were toddlers, and I have all my dental treatment there too. Both the friendly service and medical treatment is second to none. Gaynor is a gifted and highly trained dentist and, being a mum of 4, she is wonderful with children. Her dental nurse, Ruby, is an absolute gem. None of us ever dread going to the dentist, as the care and support is top drawer. One of Gaynor's specialities is spotting a dental problem before it becomes a catastrophe and taking effective evasive action early on which is a saving for patients, both economically and physiologically. Gaynor, Ruby and the whole team of hygienists etc. they have are outstanding. Gaynor dealt twice with teeth of mine requiring route canal procedures, the last one was impossible to save but together with her very capable colleague Dr Cunnington they were able to achieve what is unachievable. Most dentists would have recommended an implant straight away. We were recommended to Gaynor Langley at 38 Devonshire Street through a friend. I had been going to the same dentist for 25 years. However my 12 year old son broke his front tooth, which was very traumatic and although my dentist repaired it, it left him traumatised, fearful and with a complete dental phobia. I could hardly take him for check ups. The tooth still looked awful and my son felt very self conscious. It took us 3 years to find the perfect dentist and build up the courage to have it repaired and it was worth the wait. Gaynor took us under her wing and repaired the front tooth with expert precision. You would never know it was broken and looks incredible. Furthermore her patience and understanding, made our son realise that the dentist wasn't so bad and no longer has any fear it all! He looks amazing and has his big smile back, showing off his lovely teeth. I am eternally grateful for Gaynor's expertise, professionalism and her patience with my son. Gaynor and Charlotte have been looking after our family’s teeth for almost two years. Even after years of pretty superb dentistry when we lived in the US and certainly after a mixed experience in Hong Kong and Japan, we realise that finally we have found our dentist and our hygienist for life. In fact it was a friend from the US, with exacting expectations of dental care, who recommended Gaynor, saying that she was the best dentist she had ever had. And so it is. Gaynor is simply fantastic - forensic in her detection of problems and gentle and assured in fixing - you simply know that she knows exactly what she is doing. She treats when warranted - only the second dentist in my life to clearly do that. She watches and assesses; Gaynor has a long-term view of my mouth and because I am smart enough to want to stay with her, that is ideal in every way. But when presented with a broken tooth - more frequent as I get older and after a mishmash of global dental care - she deals with it swiftly and so skilfully, that I barely notice her working. She has been watching that tooth and it is now clear that a crown is warranted, but she did not rush in. I like that approach. Gaynor’s efficiency and humanity - she is really, really nice - also sets the tone for her practice. All the staff there are unfailingly friendly, efficient and flexible with scheduling. It is a pleasure to deal with them. Now to Charlotte. Charlotte is simply the best hygienist we have ever had - a sort of oral bacteria “terminator”. She goes in with total perfection in mind, searching and destroying everything that has no business being in your mouth. With other hygienists who were perhaps as determined but certainly less skilled, each visit had me routinely asking for the numbing gel - that kind of attack had to hurt, right? No. On my first visit, Charlotte assured me that I wouldn’t need gel. And so it was. Despite the most heavy-duty assault on plaque and tartar that my teeth and gums have ever enjoyed, Charlotte’s precision and skill meant that I felt no pain. I have not thought of numbing gel since. Charlotte also told me something that every hygienist should be hammering loud and clear to their patients - the real reason for flossing. Not to remove that day’s stuck food. But to shift soft plaque before it becomes rock-hard tartar. Maybe other hygienists did sort of tell me this, but, from Charlotte, the message got through. So now I floss daily and so does my young son. Knowing what it is for, we feel uncomfortable not to floss. Our gums are delighted. As a former physiologist, the more I learn about the general damaging inflammation to the body’s organs and tissues from mouth bacteria, the more grateful I am for Charlotte’s tenacity. Oral hygiene may turn out to be less about teeth than about body health overall. Charlotte told me today that patients after a heart attack are advised to visit their dentist. Since seeing Charlotte, arthritis inflammation in my hands has completely gone. That is partly due to an improvement in my diet, but I am convinced that more is from “Charlotte’s War” on mouth bacteria. This practice is fantastic and everyone who can should join it. I had a very traumatic cycling accident on the 28th May 2018. I sustained a severe, dislocated break of my jaw, devastatingly lost or irreparably damaged four of the most prominent teeth in my mouth (my left incisor through to my right canine) and fractured the spinous process of my C5 vertebra. My face was unrecognizable and I was in extreme pain. Dr Gaynor Langley led the charge in assembling a team of six very caring and talented medical professionals to map-out and execute a remarkable reconstruction of my jaw and teeth. My jaw was extremely displaced with multiple fractures, having been both shunted back and tipped out of alignment. Before my jaw could be surgically repaired, Dr Langley painstakingly removed all of the broken shards of my teeth and meticulously cared for my gums to preserve as much tooth structure and surrounding tissue as possible for the future reconstruction of my missing teeth. The entire reconstruction will take approximately one year to complete. In the interim, while I endure surgical and endodontist procedures for my jaw, gums and teeth, Dr Langley has crafted two sets of temporary crowns which are replicas of my four missing original teeth. This not only protects the areas being addressed, but also allows me to look and speak normally while I move along the critical path of reconstruction. At the time of the accident and given its gravity, I could not envisage a day when I would resemble my former self. However, my fears have been allayed completely by Dr Langley. Her skill, coupled with her diligent management and patient led approach, greatly minimized the stress and pain that I experienced in the aftermath of the accident and during treatment. It also left me feeling exceptionally confidant that I will make a full recovery and regain the ‘perfect American smile’ I was fortunate enough to have. I am extremely grateful to be in Dr Langley’s care.
