I've been going to the Surgery for more than 20 years. Excellent practice with very high professional standards and experience. Importantly, these standards are supported by a warm and welcoming team, always friendly and helpful, and a smile for every patient which helps ease any anxiety or worry. My dentist at the practice is always there to explain things, offer professional advice, helps one understand the work that is to be done, and performs any dental work with great care and attention to detail. I have every confidence in all the dental work that is done. Highly recommended.

First visit to this dentist. The hygienist Opal made the experience as a nervous patient, very easy to bear. Opal was caring and reassuring and did not rush the appointment. Opal ensured a thorough cleaning was provided along with, education to improve oral health. A BIG thank you to Opal. Overall it was a positive experience from start to finish. The environment was clean, calm and welcoming. The receptionist staff and the dental assistant were all polite and helpful - thank you!

I have been going to this dental practice for years and not once in all that time have I come away with anything but real pleasure that I have been blessed with an excellent dental practice. It is an honest hard working clean caring dental surgery with exceptional technical abilities and a real caring for its patients from the receptionist to the senior partner. Raj Sengupta, the senior practice partner, will always wherever possible fit one in depending on urgency of need, then carefully appraise the damage and then give one a clear explanation of what needs to be done and an honest reasonably priced cost of options both private and NHS. And their new premises are state of the art........ Excellent. It doesn't get better than this. Why would anyone go anywhere else.....

There is a long wait for appointment times, but this is common across London. Receptionists are efficient and helpful. The surgery itself is modern and clean. Most importantly, the clinicians are caring, compassionate, respectful and take the time to explain everything properly. Highly recommended for NHS treatment!

I have been coming to this dentist for years and always the dentists are amazing, today I had Dr. David Kang and he is just as professional and thoroughly brilliant as Dr. Shar. Its a lovely new building too, but most importantly the dentists, dental nurse/s and receptionists are warm friendly, and the dentistry is top notch. I can highly reccomend.

I cannot recommend Dr Shah enough, he is professional, gentle, thorough and I always feel confident in his treatment plan. I have always been petrified of going to the dentists because of having to take injections, but I hardly feel a thing due to his gentleness. Very happy with the service I receive.

Dr Shah is a great dentist with gentle hands which is what you want in a dentist to reduce the nerves of having to sit vulnerably in that chair. He likes to give explanations and descriptions on what's happening with your teeth in a nerdy way. :-) They had three fantastic friendly hygienists Rebecca followed by Jurinder and another one with gentle hands, and good chair-side manner great for handling sensitive teeth and nervous patients! The good ones don't stay long. Veronica is rough. She used my front lower teeth as a hand rest while she worked on the upper and back teeth. My teeth and jaw hurt for a fortnight afterwards. Marie/Mary is clumsy and fearful and doesn't do a great job cleaning teeth and nearly broke a tooth. The alternative is Aisha who goes at your teeth like a speedy road digger and my teeth hurt afterwards and were sensitive for a fortnight. They were however clean. Not a great choice between Marie and Aisha. Since COVID the prices have risen astronomically from £55 for a half hour hygienist appointment in early 2020 to £75 for exactly the same appointment later in 2020 within months of COVID hitting. They say it's because of PPE, but then I see they have a newly decorated location with new equipment and staff which is more likely where the money is going. Dental hygiene shouldn't be just for the rich. It's a basic necessity for everyone. I don't foresee the prices coming down in the future. Dr Shah is the only reason I keep going back to this surgery. It's hard to find a good dentist. But I would say the overall service has deteriorated over the last 3 years especially with the hygienists and some newer receptionists, and the prices are prohibitive for basics like dental hygiene.

I accompanied my mum to her one hour appointment with Alysha. My mum was really anxious because she didn’t know what to expect and she isn’t used to it but Alysha was really thoughtful. She took her time to explain periodontal disease with pictures and taught us both a lot. Now my mum knows exactly what to use and how to clean her teeth at home. Most importantly my mum was comfortable and looks forward to going back for more hygiene sessions. And my mum is happy that her teeth are clean... Thanks Alysha see you soon

I needed help when I chipped a tooth and Raj accommodated my request at short notice. In the process he completed a full check up, recommended a visit to the hygienist, and explained what had happened to the tooth, why it was susceptible to the chip, the options available to me with pros and cons, and then, feeling informed, I made the decision to follow his recommendation. No problems since. He's friendly, speaks in a way that's easy for the lay person to understand, and very professional. When my daughter was two years old, she knocked out her front tooth. I rushed her to a dentist close to home who recommended a course of action. I called Raj and he got back to me as soon as he could. I explained the situation and he reassured me he would have made the same recommendation and explained why. That gave me peace of mind from someone I trust. Five stars from me.

He has incredible communication and is totally honest and ooen, giving me all treatment options and costs involved. He then leaves me to.make my own decision about whether I want to proceed with the treatment. There are NHS and reasonably priced private options. I found him to be very professional in his approach, explaining carefully why the tooth could not be saved, painlessly taking out the tooth and advising me on after-care. What makes Bayswater Dental Surgery so unique is the very welcoming and friendly staff. Dr Raj and his team always made me feel right at home, with a warm smile and a gentle professional tone. A courtesy his team also extended to all of my family including my children and parents. I think this is extremely important as visiting the dentist can be nervous for some, but when you know the people dealing with your teeth are extremely understanding and caring it puts your mind at ease. My family and I have been visiting Bayswater Dental Surgery for almost 20 years and therefore I have used a wide range of their services. From dental hygiene, to filling (and caping), and teeth whitening. Each time, Dr Raj took the time to explain how each procedure would work, the different options available, the benefits (and potential downsides) and the cost. I always had complete confidence in all the work that Dr Raj and his team performed on myself and my family and have never faced any issues! I would also like to add that the location of his surgery is fantastic, nestled in Bayswater a short walk from Hyde Park in one direction and Notting Hill (and Portobello Market) in the other direction. Its location is amply served by public transport with Bayswater and Queensway tube stations close by and plenty of buses from Central and West London. There is also plenty of on-street paid parking. All in all, if you are looking for a professional dental practise, with a friendly and caring nature Bayswater Dental Surgery is for you!

To put it simply, Raj saved my molar (root canal plus crown) when my previous NHS dentist said that the only thing to do was to take it off. The root canal was painless and everything went smoothly, despite the risk of infection. The staff at the practice are true professionals.
