I was able to book at short notice an emergency appointment at Bupa Dental London Bank with Dr Ian Kelly. Dr Kelly, assisted by his fantastic dental nurse, Fatima, was able to quickly diagnose and treat the root cause of my acute dental pain. Using digital imaging, Dr Kelly was able to provide a detailed explanation of the issue and the solution he was going to provide. Throughout the appointment Dr Kelly was informative and regularly enquired about my level of comfort - no need as I didn't experience any discomfort during the procedure. I even received a follow up call the next morning from Fatima to check I was OK. Bupa London Bank is a first class Dental Practice with a fantastic skilled team.

Great dental practice, both in terms of facilities and staff. I moved to Bupa approx. 6 months ago after not having seen a dentist for ~2 years due to Covid. Klaudia, my dentist, was very thorough in her examination and referred me onto a number of other specialists to look at a couple of pre-existing issues. Most of these specialists were based at the same branch, which was v helpful as they can (and often do) communicate directly with each other. Although the various examinations were extremely thorough, I also didn't feel like I was pushed into certain procedures, e.g. fillings, which I had been previously at my last 3 dentists. The front desk staff are also super friendly and helpful.

I was fortunate enough to go for orthodontic treatment at Bupa Dental Care London Bank whereby I'm a patient of Dr Katarzyna Proczek, an accomplished and brilliant orthodontist who is an expert in her field and a true professional who genuinely cares for her patients - evidenced by the last 1.5 year that I've been going to receive treatment every 6-8 weeks. The reception staff at the practice are all very pleasant, not to mention courteous and friendly and, most importantly, always try their best to be accommodating - especially Jordan and Stephanie. Finally, I was able to be seen last-minute by Klaudia Tombolis, dentist, and her dental nurse Julie, who were kind enough to fit me into their busy schedule, which I greatly appreciated. I only have good things to say about the staff and the practice itself, which uses state-of-the-art equipment and air purifiers throughout their modern, pristinely clean and minimalistic offices, always maintaining health and safety to a high standard while making patients feel welcome at all times.

With rapidly worse pain in one tooth before Xmas over a weekend, I was quickly placed into an emergency appointment within 4 hours of calling on Monday morning and the tooth was extracted before lunch. Klaudia Tombolis and her assistant Julie were very understanding about my concerns at the time, both related to the tooth but also my personal circumstances. A couple weeks later I felt sensitivity to cold fluids, and went back to check the remaining teeth; Klaudia protected nearby roots which were becoming exposed as the gun receded post surgery. I have ben at this practice under a few dentists for 20 years, not leaving.

I saw Mohinder for a hygienist appointment today and she was absolutely amazing. I haven’t met a kinder or more informative person who showed me all the tricks to maintain my oral hygiene. I came in to have 3 fillings with Brijesh and Mariola last week and had the best dental experience I have ever had! I am extremely anxious with needles but they both were incredibly patient with me and calmed my nerves. In the end I didn't feel a thing! I have been lucky to be attended by Klaudia Tombolis and her assistant Julie. Klaudia is a top notch professional, in my initial check she has detected a potencial cyst, she reacted really quickly and within minutes it was double checked, as the clinic’s installations count with the best equipments at her disposal. On top of her expertise, Klaudia has a lot of empathy as she really takes care on the human side. She takes time for explaining all the procedures and gives you the time to make all the questions that you want (not being a English native speaker, this makes a huge difference). Her assistant Julie pays attention to all the details and reacts quickly to Klaudia’s requests during the procedures, while she makes sure that you feel confortable as well. Just want to say a massive thank you to Dr Brijesh and Mariola. I am a very nervous patient But Dr Brijesh talked me through every step of the procedure taking time to understand my concerns which made a big deference for me also the numbing injection (which I dread) was done with pre numbing cream and I did not feel a thing. i have heard some disturbing news, apparently Charlene is leaving. She is one of the reasons why i have stayed so long and encouraged others from my work to visit the Bank BUPA centre. Charlene and Shaila are just amazing and its such a pity to break up a great pairing. Their Customer care is second to none, Charlene has gone above and beyond to help with my dental plan, even to the stage where we planned out a years worth of treatment to finally fix my issues. its a selfish reason but its annoying to have something so good then have it taken away. these 2 are the very best in dentistry in my opinion and think if there was anyway you could keep them together you should, you have a great reputation gonna be hard to maintain if they leave.

Since then it has been down to regular check-ups and sorting out problems as soon as they start to come up . She has been instrumental in improving my oral health and setting up good habits. I had several appointments with Dr Klaudia Tombolis and she never failed to fully satisfy me. She treated two broken teeth and I particularly liked her conservative approach in finding the best solutions to preserve them also sparing me from unnecessary expensive treatments like implant or root canal. I went to Bupa Dental Bank yesterday because of a really painful abscess on my cheek caused by my wisdom tooth. I came in as an emergency appointment so I couldn't see my regular dentist but THANKFULLY Klaudia was available to help! I was really nervous but she helped me through we had to take my wisdom tooth out in the end which I was dreading but it seemed like an absolute breeze to her I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my tooth! I cannot thank this practice enough, highly recommend if you suffer from nerves or dental phobia, I have severe dental phobia, I mean really bad to the point of fainting and completely losing control, due to a brutal dentist in my childhood resulting in me avoiding the dentist for over 25 years, but couldn’t avoid it anymore due to a poorly filled tooth eventually breaking . After much research on the internet, I came upon this practice, from the moment you walk in to reception you are met with a friendly and calming environment, you feel reassured and not rushed. They put you in the driving seat, and for that I cannot thank them enough. The care and sensitivity, previously, of Jenny Pinder and now of Shaila Patel-Buxton is second to none, they immediately sit you down in a chair, a normal nice chair, phew! not the dreaded dentist chair, and let you talk about you and your feelings, nothing is rushed, and you are made to feel comfortable and in control, you literally lead your treatment and that is just so Incredibly important when feeling so nervous that you are uncontrollably shaking and about to pass out. Shaila takes her time to understand and help you through your session, and she explains everything she’s doing and goes about her examinations and treatments so gently, but what has now got me visiting regularly and keeping all my appointments, I mean ALL!! dentist and hygiene! is the wonderful Sakina Syed, their dental hygienist, she is incredible and exemplary, so patient and calming, and talks you through all aspects of your treatment, and reassures you if you are feeling overwhelmed. She even stops treatment for the day if it’s too much, Without her sensitive care and understanding and professionalism I still wouldn’t go to the dentist and probably would have rotten stumps by now!! Shaila and Sakina work perfectly together, they are the best combination for people who are nervous or with dental phobia, I cannot recommended them highly enough, you are in safe hands with them, you are in charge and reassured and that means everything when you are so seriously nervous and anxious.

With a number of advanced techniques and a high level of hygiene safety you can feel assured you are in good hands with Shaila Patel-Buxton and her highly skilled assistant Violeta at Bupa Dental Bank Your emotional and mental well-being as well as physical health of your teeth is exceptionally well looked after and a top priority. As a nervous patient; time is taken to be sure I am comfortable, able to be part of the process and informed at every moment. I can take things slow or stop and have a breather anytime needed. My fears have been significantly reduced. I particularly like the use of the wand; a gentle, painless way to administer anaesthetic and numbing affect pre injections. For those that don’t like the drilling noise; gentle music is available or you can watch something of choice as a distraction. The dental work, care and technologies used with Shaila are an exceptional standard. There is nothing more delightful than to have your dental health, your beautiful smile and confidence restored. Overall very impressed. I have always had a dentist I know and trust, this was the first time I was going to someone not recommended. I have not been to the dentist for 20 months and was definitely scared as teeth had been neglected (brush thoroughly twice a day but...) and a bit of pain was felt around a new wisdom tooth. This center was the closest so booked an appointment and was seen within one day.. The reception staff were very professional, extremely helpful and informative. The prices I was quoted at time of booking was correct after my checkup. My dentist (Brijesh) was fantastic and one of the best dentists I have seen. Friendly, comforting but very professional manner and easy to talk to. I was very encouraged. All questions answered and backed up with proof..WOW! After an initial chat his checkup was focused and thorough. I was put at ease and the issue is merely a wisdom tooth and the need to floss.The technology they had was speedy and results were delivered for x-rays within seconds (no going back to the waiting room for 5 minutes). I got my 'slap on the wrist' and will now start flossing and seeing the dentist once a year. A big thank you to the whole team, for an excellent level of a very important medical service. Compliments to the team and will see you, in April. Thank you .....I have a new dentist (one less worry).

I regularly travel 80 miles to return to my favourite hygienist, Sakina, who does an absolutely excellent job on my teeth. I highly recommend this lady and just wish she was closer to home now I have moved! But worth the trip to London every time :) The practice is clean and bright and all the staff are helpful. Could not be happier. I have been in pain for days, I called in at 8am and by 3pm I had a full dental checkup and my wisdom tooth extracted by a specialist. The specialist dentist was so good that I hardly had any bleeding or pain after the extraction. I felt no pain during the extraction as well. All dentists were competent, never felt rushed and very professional. Surely not cheap, but is money well spent.

The last time I went to the dentist was ~2003 but in 2017 because of a terrible toothache I needed to visit a dentist – I went with Bupa on reputation. My previous experiences with the dentist was negative i.e. unnecessary pain, lack of advice, speed rather than detail and lack of investigation of problems. My experience with Bupa Bank has been positive so far. I’ve had a couple of teeth cleaning appointments with Miriam Brassova and she’s an excellent hygienist – she has a friendly approach and provided tips which I can implement, I was surprised by the lack of pain during my first cleaning as I expected it to be painful because of the number of years of neglect. I have had a few check-ups and a tooth filing Brijesh Patel and he provided a detailed debrief of the state of my teeth with action points, risks with the current path and the tooth filing had minimal discomfort.

What an amazing experience I had at Bupa over the last couple of weeks. My tooth chipped off and I urgently needed it to be fixed. I rang up and the receptionist( very friendly & efficent ) managed to get me an emergency appointment just a few hours later with Dr Myint ( Minty ) and I had a fully formed tooth just a few hours later. Dr Myint was a lovely guy and excellent at his job. He was such a perfectionist that he invited me back to do a check up on the tooth a few days later and made it look even better. I highly recommend! Coincidentally I had a hygienist appointment booked in just a few days later with Mohindra, who I usually see and she was wonderful as usual. Freindly, knowledgable and made my clean pain free. I love this BUPA, great staff all round!

If you are anxious about visiting the dentist, please read until the end as I hope to put some of your fears to rest and confirm that you are absolutely in the best hands with Dr Shaila Patel-Buxton and the dental nurse Valentina (I really cannot tell you what an amazing dream team these woman are, hopefully by the end of the review you will have an idea!) To cut a long story short, I'd put off going to the dentist as I suffer from severe health anxiety and I just couldn't face it, until one day I felt a different sensation in my mouth uh oh! I was initially faced with finding a new dentist (my old one was great, but 600 miles away) and I was suffocated with the thought that a new dentist might recommend a lot of work - its really hard to trust someone you just met, with something you might feel really vulnerable and frightened about, right? I'd read a few reviews about Shaila that were really promising - especially in her approach to nervous patients and I booked in for a check up. Charlene on reception was also key to getting me to book in, such a welcoming lady who helped allay my fears of just committing an appointment! From the instant I walked in I was greeted with a really welcoming and reassuring smile from Valentina and Shaila and in that moment, they weren't my dentist and dental nurse, they were my friends and allies - I really felt Shaila could tell I'd been through the 'wars in my head' just to get through the door and she was in no rush to get me into the chair, she just wanted to talk and get to know me and understand my fears. (Tip: something that really worked for me was to write down on a bit paper all the things that I was scared of and I then showed it to Shaila and we discussed each fear on the page!) The check up was great, I actually left feeling more relaxed than I went in even thought I was told I needed a filling! (Tip: sometimes its the fear of the unknown that makes it worse!) Shaila reassured me throughout the checkup and told me everything she was doing before doing it to ensure I was in agreement - it really felt that the check up was on my terms - which if your anxious, can make all the difference. She listened and she laughed with me and she lightened the mood entirely! Valentina was also on pointe anticipating the next move to speed the experience up. I had to return for the filling and was completely dreading it, Shaila was conscious of the impact this was having on me and encouraged a quick appointment rather than leaving it for a few weeks - that way it wouldn't be on my mind! Sheila also arranged a longer than normal appointment to ensure we would have time, to take out time! (wow!) On my return I was encouraged to bring anything no matter how silly and so i rocked up with my big girl pants on with my hot water bottle and noise cancelling earphones! Shaila numbed me up to get the procedure moving and this was the scariest part for me (a needle phobic!) She used this new technology called the wand which delivers pain free anaesthesia (I'd read some reviews about this new method of numbing, but didn't believe it would actually be pain free) Shaila was so precise I honestly didn't feel a thing not even a pinch (and I don't mean the pain was barely noticeable, it wasn't there at all!). Valentina cleverly distracted me with learning a new language. Charlene on reception even offered to come and support!. The procedure went to plan and a week later, my tooth feels no different to than it did before - obviously great dentistry! I left Shaila's care feeling myself again, feeling relaxed and that not only had my oral health improved, but my mental health had improved too - how wonderful and clearly over and above Shailas job requirements! Sheila and Valentina work from the heart! I can honestly say this was the best dental experience of my life (and I've had good experiences in the past - but this was extra special) So if you are in 2 minds about going to the dentist and which dentist to choose, choose Dr Shaila Patel-Buxton, she's pretty special!

Happy with my visits so far. Mr Dholakia was always so patient and informative in all of my visits. Only thing was my OPG had to be redone twice due to an error but that was rectified. Will come again for Airflow therapy so we'll see how that goes. So far so good!
