Dr Sarah Shepherdson is an excellent dentist. I visited Sarah to get a second opinion in an attempt to conserve my lower molars which are cracked. She was very reassuring and patiently discussed the treatment options with me. My treatment was scheduled at a convenient time for me. Sarah applied a painless local anaesthetic block which was wonderful. She carefully cleaned and filled my tooth and I am very happy with the result. I will definitely be having further follow up reviews and treatment with Sarah and have recommended her to my family.

Actually had quite an enjoyable experience visiting this practice (I know that’s a strange thing to say regarding seeing the dentist) Dr Sarah was very professional and put me at ease during the work, will definitely request her in the future. One point of improvement would be regarding the locked door/knocking to get in – unlock the door (Covid-19 precautions I understand but surely there isn’t going to be overcrowding in the waiting room if its appointments only) or even by getting a doorbell would be better, I never know how hard to knock and if anyone will actually hear it.

Really great service here. Was seen promptly by helpful reception staff. My dentist gave me excellent advice on how to manage my problem, where I had previously been offered an expensive extraction at a different surgery. I felt like I was in very good hands!

My dental consultation was a private one. The service I received was very good by the dentist named Rachel. However, at the end, when I requested, in person, that the receptionists send me the X-rays and the receipt via email it seemed they got a bit complicated...They asked me to make this request in writing via email, I explained, in person, that the dentist gave her permission for me to receive the x-ray via email, and they have my email address already, etc. The insisted I placed my request in writing. Sorry, I thought..., and I do think it should a standard practice to give everyone their documents by email, particularly if requested, without major paperwork (including electronic one) and inconveniences.

I had not been to the dentist for a few years and it took me a while to even find an appointment, but I managed to get one here and I am glad I did. I was seen by Tuba, who was great. She put me at ease straight away, explained all the procedures I needed clearly and answered all my questions. On the day of my next appointment I was slightly nervous, due to previous dentists I have encountered, but she has a very calm and friendly manner and carried out the work I needed, stopping often to make sure I wasn't in pain or uncomfortable. I can only praise the reception team, hygienist, I'm sorry I cant remember his name, Tuba and her assistant David. I can highly recommend them.

Following a terrible and painful experience having my only filling years ago with another dentist, I have become an extremely nervous patient. I had an initial examination with Tuba and she recommended two fillings. I was only due to have my first today but after cancellations throughout the day they managed to do both at once! Both herself and the dental nurse were extremely patient, kind and informative throughout the whole procedure. As one of the fillings was slightly deeper they even made sure I was completely pain free by administering more anaesthetic during the procedure. They took the time to choose the best shade for the composite and made sure I felt totally comfortable before leaving. I can't thank them enough for helping me overcome my fear and I've definitely found my new dentist! Thank you Thank you Thank you!

Generally, a very good experience. Reception staff are acceptable but most importantly, the dentist was very good - highly professional, friendly and comforting and keen to give good advice. I just had a check up and some routine x-rays. Recommended. NHS but does private work too.

I have been to Clapham South Dental a few times now, and its always been a good experience. Dr. Sarah Shepherdson is fab, she's so warm, friendly and professional and always makes me feel relaxed. She gave me fantastic care during lockdown 1 when I had a cracked wisdom tooth and was in immense pain for a week, sorted me out as soon as she could when it was difficult to get appointments due to covid and I will be forever grateful for that! When I decided to look into getting my teeth straightened Sarah was the natural choice to speak to as she is super knowledgable about the different products without trying to sell me anything. I am usually terrified of the dentist but I was pleasantly surprised at visiting Clapham South Dental Centre for the first time after not visiting a dentist for 2yrs. All staff were very polite and attentive and my dentist was absolutely gorgeous. She took time to show me examples on the computer and was generally very gentle and thorough. I paid the price for not visiting a dentist in 8/9 years since I was 18. As a result, I needed a tooth taken out (it could've been saved, but lockdown last year cost me along with so many others) as well as two fillings done. The pain in my tooth had got to the point where I needed an appointment ASAP and I managed to get one in the same day within 3 hours... since the first appointment I have been looked after by Rachael who has done an absolutely sterling job in all aspects. Credit to Rachael for her delivery, professionalism and overall bedside manner. I expected the tooth extraction to hurt a fair bit although experienced no pain during or after. Thank you!

I have just completed my Invisalign treatment with my dentist Sarah. She showed me a mock-up of the final result before my treatment, so that I was happy to go ahead. After completing the treatment I can say that I am thrilled with the result. I had my teeth cleaning on 5/12/2021 by Waleed Norani (who has been highly recommended by my friends). He cleaned my teeth extremely well and I didn't experience any discomfort and he was very professional and understanding and provided excellent customer service. My teeth never felt cleaner. I first came to this clinic with an emergency. My daughter had an accident and one of her teeth was damaged. This was the only clinic that would see us within hours. We saw Sarah Shepherdson, she was extremely kind and caring; explained all scenarios and treated her on the NHS. I was so greatful, that ask Sarah if she would take my family as patients. A few years later she's still our dentist. Always very accommodating, friendly and honest. I couldn't praise her enough. I recently had an infection, was able to see Sarah very quickly, treated the pain and offered me further treatment on the NHS.

I always receive excellent, friendly service from my dentist and the dental nurses. Unlike like some of the receptionists I have dealt with over the years. I had to make an emergency appointment over the phone recently, and the receptionist was unsympathetic, unfriendly and impatient. At one point she put me on hold, I got cut off, and when I had to ring back she didn't even have the good manners to apologise. It was enough to make me think about taking my custom elsewhere. Thankfully, most of the staff are normal, decent human beings, and it is a pleasure to deal with them.

I have mixed feelings about Clapham South Dental. I had to find a new hygienist as the one at my regular dentist was not available. The booking process was really easy and simple and I managed to get an appointment within a couple of days which was great. The location is really good and I was able to park in the Tesco’s which is right next door. In regards to the treatment, the results are fantastic. My teeth are free of any tartar and they feel so clean and smooth. However I felt that the hygienist I saw lacked any real basic human skills as it genuinely felt like a traumatic experience getting my teeth cleaned. Any time I’ve had my teeth cleaned in the past, I have never felt this type of pain. I definitely had more build up than before, and I don’t expect it to be a comfortable or pleasant treatment, but there was no prior warning and I was tense and trying not to flinch for the 25 minute duration of the clean. We had a small pause in between and it was clear that I was struggling but the hygienist merely said “think of the clean teeth” and then got straight back to it. I felt rushed and that I just had to bear the pain without any other alternative. I now know why people are scared of going to the dentist…. Eeek

I was in agony and ended up in A&E with tooth and jaw pain. Visited 2 dentists who prescribed pain killers and antibiotics to no avail. Could not get an appt for treatment over a week. Called Clapham South dental and was seen same morning. Dentist drilled into tooth and saw infection in tooth pulp which he removed and cleaned. The pain went within the hour. I now have options for treatment but am pain free whilst I decide. I was so grateful and would highly recommend Benveer Kasey and staff!

My wisdom tooth had grown so big that it was causing me great pain and creating sores, I was booked in for an emergency appointment with Sarah. She was very friendly and took time to assess what the issue was and the thing that I was most impressed with was that she dealt with it immediately and took it out for me. Was treated by Dr. Sarah Shepherdson and the experience was excellent. Professional and friendly. Every treatment option was explained to me beforehand proceeding. And during the treatment each step was explained to me, which takes alot of the stress out of the experience. I highly recommend the dentists and hygienists in this practice. Only improvement I can propose is that itemised billing be made available before the procedure/confirmed at point of booking. So private patient can be 100% sure what they are to pay before the treatment, rather than after. On this occasion, I had rang before my appointment and asked how much I will have to pay on the day of my treatment but when I went to pay, it was £100 more than I was previously told. So I think in future I will need to get it in writing before the treatment!

The Mega clean with the hygienist was amazing, my teeth looked whiter instantly and he manged to remove some post braces glue left on my teeth for over 15 years which plenty of other hygienists hadn't noticed! Super thorough and worth every penny! 4 stars because the staff told me on multiple occasions that the mega clean was an hour appointment when its actually 30 mins, false advertising!

They don't respect NHS band, they want you to go for private. I was advised to do a deep cleaning with higenist which is private and more expensive. I have to refused to do so and then they charged me NHS band 2. I thought I might have a gum disease. On my appointment they didn't use anesthetic so I realized it was a scale and polished which is NHS band 1. Very disappointed.

I have been a patient at this branch for many years. I have met great professionals. Mayra has been my dental hygienist since I visited the first time and she is wonderful. Rachel is a great dentist. Her treatments are pain free :-) and she always gives me great advices. The Reception Team is also always helpful and happy to accommodate my appointments. I am happy with these guys, no complaint. The only "downside" is that prices increase every year, but guess this is the usual annual increase that affects all of the businesses/industries. Overall they are great!

Have been using Clapham for a few years now. My last treatment was with Dr Mo and I have to have to say he was fantastic! I had a complex crack and a structural issue on my back molar and Dr Mo helped resolved it quickly. The work he did on it has been excellent and even better was his service. I registered here on Friday and managed to get an appointment with the hygienist on Sunday, which was great. Honestly, my teeth have never been whiter, he did a really good job. (I had just the standard clean). Lots of safety measures in place for COVID too, you have your temperature taken when you go in, hand sanitised on entry, and masks stay in place until you're in the chair.

As ever, (the receptionists), dentist and nursing staff were very pleasant, kept me informed during the treatment and discussed after-care. Earlier in the week I was contacted by the reception staff at the surgery to confirm that I would be attending the planned appointment. When I pointed out that I had, some days earlier received a reminder about my pending appointment, there was nothing on that message to ask me to confirm my appointment, I was informed that the surgery was not allowed to ask patients to do so. That seems an extraordinary response. If the purpose of the reminder is to get patients to confirm that they will be attending, surely it would be reasonable to ask them to confirm this. At my hairdressers, beauty and other appointments I attend, they have a dedicated mobile phone number that I simply text YES or NO to, to indicate attendance. That would save your receptionists and patients time. The NHS certainly operate this system for hospital appointments also.

Some good treatments but I have never been 100% satisfied. I have been going to the dentist for 1 and an a half. I have had varying treatments. I had to have a filling on my front tooth which I had to go back for as I was not happy with the colour. I had a filling which seems to be ok. But I am now trying another dentist as I went for a check up 8 months apart. On the first one I was told I'd need a tooth removing within the next 2 years. On the second one I was told I'd need a crown and 3 fillings at the cost of £900. This seems very suspicious so I'm going to see if another dentist collaborates the diagnosis.

First time using this practice. Reception staff are all friendly, it was very easy to book appointments. I saw Dr. Arun for my checkup and treatment. Have been using this practice for a few years now and must say it has improved significantly during this time. So much so that I recently had a double implant using Dr Ali Aussia who was great every step of the way during the whole process (lengthy due to Covid) . Can thoroughly recommend him if considering implants.

My dentist is lovely and I previously had no issues having used this dental practice for 2/3 years. However (even for NHS patients) they operate a deposit system. I understand this is fair, HOWEVER, if your sick, and sound sick, and want to rearrange your appointment on the day, even calling ASAP. At 8am. It doesn’t matter. The receptionist told me you lose your deposit! As a healthcare professional myself I think exceptions should be made. If anything to prevent the spread of winter flu viruses! Not happy I have to attend an appointment when I am unwell due to circumstances beyond my control or face losing £80. Quite frankly takes the piss. Will probably look for another (more compassionate) dentist after this.

Arrived on time, taken on time. Reception were being snippy to another patient during my wait, didn't sound very good. Saw the hygienist he was lovely and kind to me as i hadn't ever been before. It would have been good to understand what was going to happen before he started as it was a shock to get machinery in my mouth and have no clue what was happening. He took time after to show me how to floss and recommended products I should use to get the best results. It would be nice it there was a price list to see (I didn't see one on display but may have missed it) as having the receptionist go through prices and deposits felt loud and awkward in front of other customers. Happy on the whole with my experience though unsure why they have referred me for an extraction and couldn't do it on the premises... maybe because of my case specifically, but found it strange, especially again as there is no explanation of costs, just an assumption that it needs done so get it done (not sure if I can afford it?!) Also that the referral is to a place they use, no offer of a selection of places for you to make a decision of where is either better or convenient for the customer and a long wait time (6-8 weeks)

I just want to recommend Doctor Ali to anyone who is slightly nervous of dentists - I have been suffering with a tooth problem for nearly a month now and yesterday my tooth fractured in half. Dr Ali and his assistant were absolutely amazing today and although it was a horrible experience having to have a tooth extracted, they made it as painless as possible (just a bit noisy!) and were very reassuring throughout the whole procedure.
