I had a hygienist appointment today. I am very pleased with the result. My doctor was very efficient and even compliment my brushing of teeth dedication. So motivating ;) I went with a face mask. anyway, everything there is created to feel safe with covid free measures. The ladies at the reception are so lovely. I took my annual tooth check appointment after the appointment. I recommend it as it is the second time I am going.

Chalton Street Dental is always a pleasure to visit: from the smiling welcome at reception, to the modern & scrupulously clean treatment rooms, & finally to the excellent manner and commitment of the Dental Team to provide a fantastic service. I have seen at least 3 of the Dentists at this practise, all of whom have been excellent: on this visit I saw Dr Eva who was absolutely charming, takes an interest in you personally and is a calming, professional practitioner. the dentist does not need to be a horrible place to visit or one you dread... thanks to Dental Smiles Chalton Street. it starts with the lovely team on reception (from the first phone call right through to when you wave them goodbye) - they are just lovely and upbeat and really make you feel welcome. I went to see the dental hygienist and was extremely impressed by this practice from start to finish. The receptionist Jane is a lovely lady and put me at ease straight away as I suffer with severe anxiety. She informed the dental hygienist which was extremely understanding and very gentle with my ultra clean on my teeth and felt no pain or anxiety through out the process. For someone who is nervous going to the dentist (especially since it was an emergency too!), Jack and the team are so lovely. Everyone is very friendly and calm, really settling nerves. What really helped me was that the chair in the examination room was set as just a chair, not a bed. It's a small thing, but it took the pressure off the appointment because it didn't feel like they would immediately start rummaging around in my mouth. Jack asked what would help me before he did anything and when I asked to explain everything he was doing, he did so without any problem. The screen on the wall is visible at all times so there are no surprises or hidden things. No pain, no discomfort, no uncertainty - I even made a next appointment on the spot and I usually need to work up the courage to do so! Everyone really is so lovely, I cannot recommend highly enough.

I have been with this practice for two years roughly and it is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. I have been with other dental practices in the UK who have made absolute disasters in my mouth. This is the first time I’ve felt confident about staying with the same practice. In my last two visits I was served by Johanna at reception, she always welcomes you warmly and efficiently. I haven’t dealt with others face to face but I have over the phone, and they are great as well, you can see they make an effort to run things smoothly. I have been seen by different dentists, one of them being the practice manager. You can see they are honest about your treatment options, they are not “pushy” with the offer of treatment and will tell you the pros and cons of each one and the price. I chose to get part-NHS and part-private treatment here. They take the time to explain to you what the x-rays mean, and how it is likely something will evolve. I’ve also realised they insist in preventative measures - ie floss and interdental brushes demonstrations, advice about when you might need a hygienist appointment, the health of your gums and how to improve them, etc. This is the opposite of what I have experienced in other practices, which are rather “reactive” - focusing on just fixing the “issue” (ie a cavity) rather than prevention and wider treatment. I’ve had great experiences with both of the hygienists I have seen and the nurses as well. They are very patient if you have sensitive teeth and make you feel at ease. I can’t praise the practice enough. Ever since I’ve been with them I feel my dental health had greatly improved both thanks to their treatment and advice.

(They've got some covid measures in place so if you show up early just be sure to let the front desk know you are there but then you'll have to wait outside until they're ready to see you)

I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent treatment I received from Dr Chloe at Chalton Street. I was having a veneer fitted on my front tooth and it was a tricky job to get it looking right, so Chloe suggested I visit the manufacturer of the veneers at his studio. He was a real artist and took a considerable amount of time making sure the veneer matched the rest of my teeth. He then came to my follow up appointment where it was being fitted to do some finishing touches. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with this level of service. Also the reception staff are all really helpful and deal with any queries in a very prompt and courteous way. If I could give another star I would!

I've been so happy with this dentist. I went from someone who hated the dentist (because I didn't want a lecture) I knew I needed to go but I put it off for about 7 years because of negative experiences elsewhere. I recently visited dental smiles as I was recommended a dentist, Elina as I am a very anxious patient and I was told that she has experience with anxious patients. I have to say that she was the best dentist I’ve seen. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease. Always helpful with exceptional level of care. I initially started with this group at their Tavistock location about 9 years ago. I left London for 2 years and when I returned in 2016, I immediately sought them out and it was suggested that I could use their NHS /private clinic. I have done so very happily, and have been in the chairs of several of their hygienists and dentists. They are ALL superb so I have absolutely no qualms about receiving care from any of them. I’ve never been made to feel that my concerns were trivial and having had serious problems with my teeth since a child - I KNOW good dentists better than most. I’m also originally American - so the standard is high. The clinic is super clean and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Prices for cleanings are on par, or even a bit less than some others. The receptionists are warm and always make me feel valued. They also go the extra mile to make sure you remember your appointments. My only complaint is that they don’t have a mirror in the washroom and frankly, I’d like to see my face, brush my hair and out on lippy after a cleaning or treatment!!!

For Dr Patel and his awesome team, they make sure that even though you don’t like the dentist, they’ll make sure they do everything they can to ensure your visit is as stress free as possible. I like Dental Smiles because it seems to be a well organised group of practices with good customer relations. The equipment is upto date compared to the previous practice I attended. Any treatment proposed is fully explained and emailed and illustrated via x-ray and photograph during appointments. Emphasis is on saving teeth that can be saved. I’ve been a patient of this practice for about 2 years now. Out of all the dental practices I’ve been to, the Dental Smiles group have provided the best customer service experience. They are friendly and personable and endeavour to get you the correct services you require. They provide a mixture of NHS and private options depending on your needs and wants. I have recently visited for a hygiene visit with Katalin during COVID and it’s great to be able to return to the dentist safely and securely in this time. I can highly recommend this practice.The process in place regarding COVID is greatI suffer with anxiety when visiting the dentist! But today had my treatment today with Elina. I had totally pain free experience including when I had my injection. She explained what she was going to do the whole way and made me feel totally at ease and was very gentle. I have been going to this dentist for a number of years now and I absolutely love their consistently high level of service and care. I initially went to them because they were close to where I worked. I have since moved jobs (and location) but I still go back because the service I receive there is excellent. My family and I were on holiday in London for my MSc graduation and my fiance experienced some crippling tooth pain that could not be controlled by non-prescription painkillers and topical pain relievers. We called Tavistock Dental and they initially scheduled us in for an appointment for the next day. After explaining the severity of the tooth pain, the manager called several other branches and was able to schedule us immediately for an appointment with Dental Smiles London Chalton Street. We arrived and my fiance was assessed quickly. After a short wait, he was treated (he had an infected wisdom tooth, which was pulled) by Dr Caleb (I believe) and we were back in our hotel room about two hours from when we left. We followed up with a question about after care, and it was promptly responded to via email the same evening. My fiance had no pain and no other issues the rest of the trip. I've only seen one dentist in the Chalton Street branch but he was superb, as was the room tech who assisted, good fun, lots of smiles, make you feel like you're important and cared for. I had a toothache which was also infected, visited and got injections for an extraction (what i wanted) but the pain was still there due to the infection, got antibiotics and went home for 4 days (starting a new job on Tuesday so needed this sorted) went back today. Dr Akhil Patel saw me the first time and again today, really sound lad, boss dentist, trusted him instantly (I'm terrified of the dentist and the anticipation of pain does a number on me) he was patient, has an attention to detail, he simplifies the whole process and knew his stuff, best thing he made this big softy (me) feel a lot better. My last dentist was private, James Hull Associates who I used to pay top dollar for, both orthodontics, whitening and veneers, spent thousands on dentistry, but I can say without any prejudice that from my visits to Smiles in Chalton Street with Dr Akhil P, it was as if it was a top top tier dentist. I'm not normally one to write too many reviews, I'm just grateful for the experience I've had whilst there. He got my tooth out in the end, not as bad as i thought it'd be, he really helped me, I feel great now that I've had it all done, they were all fantastic especially Akhil, can't recommend them enough. I'll always go back there if i ever have any issues, they also do whitening and hygiene so I'll be popping back in for that. Legends. Thank you.

Excellent modern, caring dentistry by Dr Nate Yang. I am of a generation where heavy metal fillings, tooth breakages and an anxiousness about dental treatment are not uncommon. A move in surgery location to Carlton St resulted in me being allocated a new dentist - Dr Nate Yang. He immediately put me at my ease and gradually, step-by-step and over the period of a year, tackled my teeth. He made the whole process as pain free and comfortable as possible and the results greatly exceeded my expectations. Nate is by far the best dentist I have ever experienced.

However what a professional service and no pain. Unfortunately my extraction site started to hurt a few days later and I’ve had nothing but seriously excruciating pain ever since , fortunately my new dentist Lucy has looked after me with the right after care for this.Although I must add that if you are ever in extreme , excruciating pain and go back to have a treatment with a different dentist even if it’s part of the treatment you have had , you will be charged more for this , which I think is crazy as I was in so much pain & the nhs list you won’t be charged to see another dentist if it’s part of on going treatment . So I went away and sat it out for the morning in extreme pain. However I give this dentists 20 out of 10 because of Lucy. She goes the extra mile , incredible service!. If you don’t like dental treatment or are scared of treatment please book in with Lucy she will look after you!.

I felt in control and felt if I asked to stop / didn’t wan to do something then I knew Frances would stop. Frances handled all my fears and anxiety which really helped to calm me down and whilst I may not be brave enough to come back for general check ups ( maybe one day), for the first time in my life I have found a dentist that I would happily go to if I had any further problems, rather than leaving it so long. I can't commend this Dental practice enough I am the most nervous person when it comes to dentist but I will never be scared again Dr Akhil Patel was out of this world at removing my nerves he was amazing and I didn't even have any teeth out on my first visit he was calm clinical and very very re-assuring to the point that on my next visit I am having teeth out and I'm no longer worried, I live in Fareham in Hampshire and I travelled all this way so I could go to this one dental practice and I would never change, what I heard about this practice is totally true it is in my view one of the very best in London and I would recommend them to anyone the dental nurses are also very experienced in their part, also this is the only dental practice where you have the dental practitions receptionist ensemble singing to you as you wait in the waiting room for your treatment it doesn't seem like a dental practice because they are so jolly before you go in and that helps immensely keep up the good work people. The appointment went well, particularly since it involved a filling at a very difficult angle, right at the back. The "numbing" injection was totally painless. Kimberley explained what she was doing throughout the procedure, which was totally painless as planned. The filling was checked afterwards until the bite was totally normal i.e. the filling wasn't proud of the tooth in any way. This was never going to be an easy filling to do, given how inaccessible the tooth was, but it went very well indeed. No problems afterwards.
