I've just finished my fastbraces treatment with Dr. Stephan Van Vuuren which I am really pleased with! Stephan and his team made me feel very comfortable from the start and I have felt well overseen with the fortnightly check-ups. After having orthodontic work as a teenager (and not wearing the retainers), I was pleasantly surprised to see how technology has moved forward over the last 20 years, how quickly results were seen and now have a number of friends considering this approach, after the fantastic and quick results seen in my experience! I have put off going to the dentist for a number of years - but given how at ease I've felt during the whole orthodontic experience, I plan to make this my regular dental practise as I believe they are truly invested in my dental care and future! For anyone with a similar irrational fear of dentists as me, I definitively recommend you give them a try. You will not regret it!

I did my treatment with Dr. Stephan (Orthodontics), Dr. José (Surgery) and their Nurse team, visiting the clinic frequently (fastening braces every 2 weeks) for a year and I am VERY happy with the results, my teeth are straight, back in place, my bite is strong again and I get compliments from friends and colleagues all the time! Never waited to start my appointments, every time I got there Dr. Stephan was ready waiting for me, in fact if was early we'd start earlier! And appointments never overrun too - this was a blessing helping me on occasions I had to go over to the clinic at lunch time. Get in, get out, get lost every time, with no issues post-appointment whatsoever! I can't believe I am saying this but now, 4 months having finished my treatment and removing the braces, I actually miss going over and being received by friendly people and being treated by honest, caring and knowledgeable professionals. My business partner recommended the IGDP dental practice to me just less than a year ago - In particular Stephan, the principal dentist. I needed some routine work on my teeth which was straight forward and well taken care of but ultimately I wanted to have my teeth straightened with the help of braces. Stephan recommended Turbo Braces which certainly seems to have been the way forward. It was estimated that the entire treatment would take between 9 and 12 months, however much to my delight Stephan removed my braces just on 6 months down the line. Not only am I thrilled with my new smile but also I can't recommend Stephan enough. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and most of an excellent orthodontist. One of my dreams just came true, I finally have straight teeth as I just finished my fastbraces orthodontic treatment this morning and I'm more than happy with the results! As an adult I was worried about my look and went for the clear braces- it was a great choice as a lot of people told me they hadn't noticed I have braces ;) My treatment lasted 7.5 months as expected and was more comfortable than I thought it could be. The IGDP team is the best, my orthodontist, Stephan very experienced, Ewa the lovely nurse and the girls at the reception always very helpful! I think I can't recommend them enough!!!

Finished my Fastbraces treatment with Stephan and the team this morning and I am simply over the moon with the results. I have to praise the whole team for my experience there. The staff are extremely professional and friendly, which made each visit a delight. It is stated that tooth movement can happen from Day 1, which I was very skeptical about. However within minutes of leaving the practice I could see and feel my lower incisors had already moved and continued to do so. My treatment took longer than anticipated, but this was due to the many adjustments I requested, which Stephan accommodated with ease. Straight after my braces were removed I saw the hygienist Monika who was simply fabulous. She is so knowledgeable and informative. He was highly recommended by a dentist friend of mine who is in Manchester and he is definitely one of the best practitioners for this treatment, as well as reasonably priced. I had the good fortune of being referred to Dr Rory Mac Sweeney for 2 root canal by a brilliant dentist and I came to know why. During the initial consultation Dr Mac Sweeney was incredibly reassuring, kind and patient in answering all my questions and concerns as a few months earlier I was told that 2 teeth in my lower jaw were basically doomed. Dr Mac Sweeney had a different view and was confident about a successful outcome. Using state of the art equipment he worked 2 solid hours to save my teeth and I felt no pain. Well.. I was so relaxed that I stayed awake out of courtesy! The following day the 2 teeth were totally oblivious of what had happened to them and they are now standing along side the remaining ones happy and content no doubt to still be there rather than being extracted OUT! Dr Mac Sweeney's aura is so kind that I left the lovely, friendly surgery as if I came out of a SPA!!! Thank you so much for everything Dr Rory and for being so generously thorough. I was recommended by a friend to use The IDGP dental practice for fast braces. Although i live in Kent i was so impressed by the results i thought i would still make the travel down to islington for a consultation. I then met Dr Stephan in which then i booked in there an then to arrange to have braces fitted. I had the braces on for only 5 months, of course i don't t think anybody prepares for it but throughout all of the process i was completely looked after and definitely was given a more than fare price! I could not recommend the practice enough and especially to the lovely Dr Stephan, my aunt is now under the same process with him now. Even once the braces were off i then decided i wanted some composite bonding and of course he did that to perfection. I now have the smile i always wanted and could not be happier! A*** all round! I'm a teenager and this was my first time going to a private dental practice. I had a bacterial infection in one tooth which kept me nervous for a few months (but turned out to just be minor). I believe I was given Dr Rory Mac Sweeney who was regularly reassuring, constantly kind, very intelligent, and gave detailed answers on any problems or questions I had. Brilliant dentist. I feel bad for not having anything very special to say about the staff there as they were similar to the usual staff I encounter, but they were definitely doing their jobs well as they were pleasant and helpful. Nothing bad to say there. The building is quite narrow, but the waiting room was big enough as there were only a few people in there. The building had a nice, quiet, and professional atmosphere which was relaxing to wait in. I would note that the entrance to the building is quite small and not as obvious compared to the storefronts around there, so keep an eye out for it and know where you're looking, just to be safe. I'd highly recommend this dental practice as I had entered a nice environment, and then left feeling very satisfied with the service I had received. I'll be strongly considering coming back here for anything I'm very worried about.

I definetley recommend the fast braces system, is safe and noninvasive. I was recently under the care of Dr. Stephan Van Vuuren who showed a high level of professionalism. Previouse orthodontist recommanded for my treatment extraction of two teeth so I am very happy with the result as Dr Van Vuuren straightened my teeth in just 6 months without extraction. I had my fastbraces done by Stephan at IGDP and I can't reccomend him or the practice enough! They have changed my life!! I went from being told by numerous practioners both in Jersey where I live & London that they were unable to do what I requested and trying to send me down the route of traditional braces (2 years minimum treatment for my case as my teeth were horrific) to having perfect teeth within 5 months! I'm an absolute chicken when it comes to pain...and I'm not denying they hurt slightly at first, but if I can put up with the 2 day ache then anyone can! I sucked my thumb for 29 years and 7 months ...the day my fastbraces were fixed on; I stopped. Stephan has well and truly changed my life! The moment I walk in I feel in safe hands. I have been a patient here for over ten years; the reception staff are truly welcoming and the waiting area always has a relaxed and positive air to it. Stephan is everything you would wish to find in a dentist, vastly experienced, focused, patient, clear in his description of any work that needs to be done and will throw in a good dose of humour when appropriate. I completely trust his judgement. I have unfortunately had five root canals in my life, two of which have been done by Rory. If there is such a thing as a magic touch in root canals, Rory has it. Somehow he picks up on your “natural rhythm”, so whilst he is working deeply and thoroughly, you feel as if you are being gently rocked and soothed by a perfectionist at work. IGDP is clean, light and superbly equipped. It certainly gives any Harley Street practice a run for its money. TC (London)

I have been a patient at Islington Green Dental Practice for about 5 years and haven't looked back. Stephan is by far the best dentist I've ever had and the dental staff are really helpful and friendly. About a year ago one of my teeth that had been botched by another dentist broke off and my filling fell out. Stephan managed to repair the tooth as well replace the filling and I've had no problems since and couldn't tell it was repaired. If you're looking for an honest dentist in Islington you should make sure you give them a call.

I have been going to IGDP for my dental care for many years and have always had amazing and kind service from the staff there. I had Invisalign treatment to correct some overlapping teeth that I had been embarrassed about all my life - wonderful results! If you have worried about any aspect of your smile, go and see the guys at IGDP. I have had a root canal performed by Rory Mac Sweeney at IGDP and to be very honest, I didn't feel a thing. I was so happy with the result and Rory is a magician.... quite wonderful. Stephan van Vuuren did my Invisalign treatment/correction over several months - he put me entirely at my ease and the complete procedure was entirely successful and painless. I would thoroughly recommend IGDP. If you have any fears of going to the dentist, the staff at IGDP will completely dispel all your fears. Wonderful service and attentive and caring staff. So pleased am I with my treatment (a front tooth implant) at IGDP that I feel compelled to sing the praises, not just of Alister, the implant specialist responsible, but also Stephan, my Dentist, and the team as a whole, for making the experience tantamount to a pleasure – strange maybe, but true. It was a procedure I was not looking forward to, but my concerns where unwarranted. It was a painless process and I’m thrilled with the result. I was even allowed to spread the cost over the course of the treatment. In light of a couple of the other reviews on here I will add the following: The implant I’ve just had is not a one off episode at IGDP. I am not blessed with good teeth and avoided the dentist for some years having suffered many poor, painful and expensive experiences. I joined IGDP nearly ten years ago, requiring extensive treatment, which Stephan carried out efficiently, comfortably, and with the most personable manner I’ve encountered at any dentist. Since that time, I’ve had two check ups and two hygienist appts per year, and have needed only one small filling. All in all, I’m very, very happy with IGDP and would be loathed to go elsewhere.

My Dentist was Dr Nekhil Dattani, he specialises in nervous or anxious patients of which I'm both. He did Everything to make sure I was at ease in every way.
