I love this place! Gary has been my dentist since I moved to the UK (over 20 years now) and I now travel from Essex to Muswell Hill as I wouldn’t change for the world! All the team are fabulous but especially Anne at front of house - nothing is ever too much trouble. I also take my kids there and have done since birth so they have no fear of the dentist (as lots of kids do) as the team know exactly what to do and say to put them at ease. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Highly recommend Kings Avenue Dental Surgery . I have been with them for 5/6 years. I see Gary who is patient, caring and thorough. He loves what he does. I have had a few emergencies over the years and he has never let me down. It gives me great comfort that although I don’t have great dental health, I have a dentist who I can trust. My kids see Samar and they absolutely love her. One of my kids is really nervous about dentist but happy to see Samar. She is gentle and makes the appointment enjoyable for kids. The clinic is always absolutely immaculate and we always feel safe there, even during COVID. The team are professional and always happy to help especially with emergencies.

The care thats received by both children and adults is like no other. My daughter refused to go to the dentist as she was so scared, but Gary was able to talk to her and show her that it's not scary. I’ve been going to Gary at Kings Avenue for at least 10 years, not a huge fan of the dentist but without fail he is gentle, kind and patient…… he also makes me laugh which is a real bonus!! The staff are all really nice as well. I have also visited the hygienist at Kings Ave and she did a brilliant job, unhurried and thorough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this surgery in general. Ok. It's said a lot. Even so Dominic Lawlor is beyond best. I may be one of his most scared patients but his persistence with coping with my phobia has yet again saved my teeth. Never felt the least pain even with complex procedures. All the team are also the best. Professional and friendly always. Thank you all. Highly recommend. Being a very nervous patient, I moved to Kings Avenue Dental Surgery, on the advice of a friend just before lockdown. I cannot tell you how great they are. Roz, my Dentist listens to me, appreciates my anxiety and fear of needles. I have gone from having to be sent for sedation (for even a filling) to now having my full care in-house at Kings Avenue. Gary Cohen is a great dentist. I did not even feel the injection to numb the area being worked on! I like his minimal intervention approach that comes from experience and incredible skill. They keep costs for the patient down and don't suggest unnecessary treatment. They also have all the Covid prevention measures completely sorted with anti viral air filters! We should get those into schools.....

I must share my enthusiasm for this excellent dentists. My dentist was Gary Cohen and he was responsible for actually getting me to attend a dentist. I have had a phobia of dentists all my life and had some awful experiences! When I met Gary he was very patient, reassuring and took things at my pace. He was very understanding and I never felt that I was a nuisance. I had excellent advice and never felt pressurised into anything. All the dental nurses were very supportive and a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately for me I have now moved to Manchester and will be looking to find a new dentist but sadly I doubt I will find another " Kings Avenue Dental Practice" or such a great dentist and staff. I have been going to Kings Avenue Dental Surgery for well over a decade now and would recommend it to anyone looking for a surgery. Whether it is the reception staff or the dentists themselves the entire experience feels personal, non-intimidating and - given there might be drills and needles involved - very calm and reassuring. Clearly spotless whilst maintaining a warm friendliness, it is a great combination - I also NEVER feel like unnecessary work is done; by this, I mean that the dentists will do all they can to keep costs down for the patient and will also advise against large-scale work when small-scale might be more prudent in the long-term. When I first went to this dental practice, late last year, I found very efficient and friendly receptionists, so I registered and made an appointment with Dominic, who had been recommended to me by a friend. During my first check-up it was discovered that I needed a new crown, which was not a surprise to me. I was very impressed with the way Dominic explained the whole procedure right at the outset, although I felt very nervous because when my first crown was done, a long time ago, it was a painful experience. To my surprise, this time, the only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the injection. I had no pain at all during drilling and my mouth felt normal 2 hours after the procedure was finished. I was impressed at how well Dominic and his assistant worked together as a team, ensuring my comfort.

I have been coming to the dental surgery for 25+ years. The first time I met Gary I had toothache coming from a previous root canal. He explained that often stress we're feeling goes straight to our mouth & probably what I was experiencing was stress not an infection. He advised me to call back if the pain didn't subside. He didn't advise an expensive procedure & he was kind & gentle. Needless to say the pain subsided & Gary has kept my teeth looking great to date.
