I have been going to Merton Dental for just over a year. As a nervous and phobic patient, I had avoided dentists for many years, so my teeth and gums were in a poor state. I am very pleased with the excellent treatment and sensitive care I have received from Dr Sulieman and his team. All proposed treatment is explained clearly, both verbally and in writing, with options and costs. My teeth are now in great condition, with healthy gums, requiring only routine checks and hygiene visits. I am grateful to everyone at the practice for their professionalism, the help to overcome my fears and the humour!

I couldn’t be more grateful to have such an excellent dental surgery so local to me. I used to trek into central London to a very good dental practice, but quickly found Dr Munther Sulieman and his team to be equally as good and now I wouldn’t go back! They provide a truly excellent service. They are professional, efficient, experienced and honest: prevention of having treatment is their number one priority and I trust them implicitly to provide the best advice. The surgery is very clean and excellent provisions have been made, in particular during the pandemic, making it feel a very safe place to go these past few months. The atmosphere is also very friendly and personable and it has a lovely local, family feel. Recently my 12 year old son had to have some teeth taken out in preparation for a brace as advised by our orthodontist. After a week of him worrying and suffering from immense anxiety in the lead up to the appointment, it turned out to be a really good experience and the team were brilliant with him. Thank you Munther for your skill and kind manner and not causing him pain, Karin for being so comforting (he said it really helped) and Izzy for reducing his stress in the waiting room! He came out really happy and grateful (as did I!). You have ensured that in future, his relationship with blood, injections and dentists will be a positive one!! After years of avoiding the dentist, Munther and his team at Merton Dental have taken away all my fears with their gentle but effective approach. Especially during my first appointments, they allowed for extra time to discuss & explain all the steps/treatment undertaken. During treatment they always ensure that I am comfortable and not experiencing any pain. Going to the dentist/hygienist is still not on top of my favourite things to do, but Merton Dental have managed to make it a regular and not to be avoided nor feared appointment - and the condition of my teeth has significantly improved consequently. I am really happy with the service received at Merton Dental. I needed a fair bit of remedial work doing as hadn’t been to a dentist in a long while and had lost a filling - everything was explained clearly and I received a thorough written report (with pictures) following my initial consultation. All the staff are really friendly and professional, and it’s great that I always get Mr Sulieman and Lucy the hygienist (my previous dentist tended to chop and change based on who was available). Dental surgery was a breeze - very considerate and having four fillings done I experienced no pain at all, to my great relief! My gums and teeth are much improved after just a few weeks. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other private surgeries locally too. Wish I’d made the effort and joined sooner! Many thanks to you all!

I would highly recommend Merton Dental. I have been a patient for nearly 18 months, having been persuaded to go there by my husband (a patient for many years), as I had not been to the dentist for a (long) while due to bad experiences with a previous dentist. I found Munther to be highly professional and knowledgeable, able to explain issues in a straightforward and clear way and, most importantly, capable of handling nervous patients such as myself, in a reassuring and calm way. All the treatments I have had there (fillings/root canal) have been executed in a gentle manner, with total respect and consideration for my feelings and has been the most pain-free experience I have had at a dentist. All the other staff at the practice: hygienists, receptionists and Karin, the Practice Manager, are also highly proficient in their roles and welcoming and friendly which makes each visit much easier. I can’t say that I will ever enjoy going to the dentist but this is about as good an experience that anyone could have!

Had plenty of bad experiences at other dentists before (root canal, no anaesthetic, while some nerve was alive) so I'm always a bit nervous looking for a new one. The hygienist Ms Patel was excellent and very gentle as well as being very clear with her advice. I found Merton Dental back in August and it was one of the best things I've ever done. I am a nervous patient who needed a lot of work done on all my teeth but just couldn't find a dentist who understood and showed empathy. I had a very bad experience at another local dentist and that completely put me off. I knew I had to go and Merton dental stuck out the most for me, especially when I was researching nervous dentists. When I first registered I was given a great amount of detailed information from the receptionist team who were nothing but kind and caring. I booked a visit straight away to see Munther- he exceeded my expectations on all levels. Being a nervous patient, he understood and along with that his methods were great for giving me confidence in him and the treatments. Soon after the treatments began I had every faith in him and he knows exactly how to deal with a nervous patient like me. His work is painless - I never feel a thing. Now I can say after around 10 years of being extremely nervous and being in a lot of pain-and couldn't even look at a dentist from the outside in- I look forward to going to see Munther- and to see more great results. His team and himself are exceptional and I can't thank them all enough for helping me progress with my smile, even though there is more to be done! I highly, highly recommended the practice.

Very thorough assessment and helpful advice. I have had issues with an old filling for a while and after a really detailed review we found a small crack that was causing the issue (that others had missed). A good filling (with the least uncomfortable freezing I've ever had) sorted the issue completely! And a mouth guard has stopped me from grinding my teeth at night and causing more damage. Very pleased - but frustrated that previous dentists haven't been as thorough and seen the issues. Very happy I've come to see Munther!

Honestly cannot thank Merton Dental enough.... Munther and his team have showed nothing but professionalism and patience from the very start! I started visiting Merton dental in August 2015.... I could tell you the date and time of my first appointment.... the reason being I had been dreading that day arriving from when the initial appointment was made .... I "WAS" extremely phobic right down to the point of not even being able to look at a dentist from the outside in.... I needed a fair amount of work doing and it didn't take a qualified dentist to work that one out.....I knew I needed to make a appointment... but going on bad experiences in the past from other dentists I was very apprehensive.... After a bit of online research I found Merton Dental and they stuck out in particular..... and I can honestly say they exceeded my expectations on every single level! After a initial consultation with Munther he explained the work required and ways we could work around my dental phobia.... and just after a few visits.....They turned a nervous wreck Dental-phobic into a regular visiting patient. Cannot thank you guys enough on giving me the confidence to smile!

After a traumatic tooth extraction when I was younger, I developed a fear of going to the dentist and all dentist related things. I found Munther via an internet search for neurotic dental patients. I had not been to the dentist for 8 years and previously needed to be totally sedated to have any treatment at all. Munther knew I was very anxious and phobic but told me straight away that he did not do total sedation and explained that I would never get over my fear if I chose this method all the time, he assured me that he could gain my confidence by doing the procedures almost pain free. Several years on and I feel totally safe in Munther’s friendly and professional hands, after previously being embarrassed to open my mouth, he has given me my smile back. I can’t pretend I’m completely over my fear of dentists and their drills, but I can definitely say I go back for regular check-ups and I no longer dread it. Merton Dental Practice has exceeded all of my expectations, the professionalism, care, attention, and understanding that you get from Munther and all the staff is excellent and I would not want to go anywhere else - THANK YOU !!
