I was made to feel at ease the moment I arrived at the practice. I was welcomed by the lovely Camilla and then shown into the surgery. Everything was handled professionally; hand sanitizer in place and PPE worn. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Jo is a brilliant dentist and explains everything as she goes along! The music is relaxing and she puts you at ease straight away. Appointment was on time. Well done team!!

Jo and her team are amazing! I felt welcomed and safe throughout, and both Jo the dentist and Ciara the hygienist were great at making me feel at ease and calming my nerves. Jo took the time to teach me about proper brushing techniques after my checkup and Ciara made sure that my teeth were thoroughly clean. Everybody's nightmare - toothache on Friday evening and the prospect of pain over the weekend if not longer. Jo fitted me in on Saturday morning, prescribed antibiotics and arranged treatment to start early the following week. Amazing care.

I have been a Patient of Jo Gallop’s for about 20-plus years. I cannot recommend her highly highly enough. She looked after my mum as well. Jo is diligent, very caring, kind, always responsive when you have an emergency, she pulls out all the stops to help get it sorted as soon as possible. I think it is rare to have someone who is so dedicated and caring about her patients. Jo also is always cheerful and positive which is a huge strength when you have bad teeth problems! Her staff and team are lovely too, the practice is a happy one, and that comes from the top down. Jo is really an outstanding dental practitioner.

All procedures are clearly explained/costed before they take place so you have no surprises ! I'm a professional wuss when it comes to dental trips, and I'm not ashamed to say this. I've been working with Jo's team for the past 5 years and even though I've had to go through some reasonably invasive procedures, Jo and her team have been quite incredible in their care of me and my irrational (is it irrational to be scared about metal spinning at 10,000rpm in your mouth? Discuss.) fear of 'the chair'. I wholeheartedly recommend her practice to you.

Just had my first appointment with Joanna after switching between lots of different dentists due to moving house and costs etc! I feel sure now I'll stick with Joanna as her manner is extremely calm, friendly and reassuring and I feel i'm really getting the best care. All the dental nurses and reception staff are also so lovely and as I'm paying for my treatment through insurance (dencover) I had lots of questions before I joined the practice and they were always really patient with me and answered everything I needed to know. Treatment is explained ahead of time and it feels like you and Joanna are a team together working out the best plan of action for your teeth rather than being confused as to whats going on. I'm a bit of a nervous patient but leaving the dentist yesterday left me feeling really positive and optimistic that I'd finally found my dentist and I might have a pretty healthy smile soon!

Highly Recommended Joanna Gallop. After 15 years with the same dentist and feeling disheartening by everything that was going wrong with my dental care, I decided to contact Joanna Gallop from Upper Berkeley Dental Care, what an Amazing and extremely caring dentist. I had a consultation and the following week, I was fitted with a brand new three teeth denture, plus a darkened front tooth, that I was told by my old practice would need to have a crown is now Pure White, and totally repaired by white fillings, I feel like a new person and also I was so calm in the chair for two hours. I also noticed that the dental practice email address is Gentle Jo, what a PERFECT and fitting name!!!!!!

She is one of the kindest people I have ever known and a very gentle dentist, she is very efficient and professional aswell. Being a dentist, I found myself in a difficult place to find someone I felt was competent and someone that I trusted to replace a fairly tricky filling. Fear not, the answer is Jo Gallop. She comes across as very professional, but friendly at the same time, the treatment was entirely pain free, and I was delighted with the new filling (I was saved having to have a root canal treatment). Most people don't like going to the dentist. That is because they have never experienced the warmth, care and welcome given by Jo and her lovely team. The quality of dentistry is world class always taking into account the latest improvements in dentistry, with discussions about the advantages and disadvantages of options on offer. And this high quality is always, always, always accompanied by great care to reduce any stress or discomfort you may feel. They do not call this smashing dentist 'gentle Jo' for nothing. I would recommend Upper Berkeley to anyone.

I have been a patient of Upper Berkeley Dental Care for around a year now. As well as referring me to an excellent orthodontist and talking me through that process, I have received a filling and have visited the hygienist. Jo Gallop has a reputation as a gentle dentist - but this doesn't entirely capture her approach. Throughout my procedure I felt that she placed a premium on communication with me (a mouthful of equipment notwithstanding) but nonetheless was quick and professional in her approach to the task itself. Furthermore, the rest of the Team at Upper Berkeley Dental Care are pleasant and professional. As a person who doesn't relish trips to the dentist, I cannot emphasise how much they put you at your ease. The practice is no more than 2 minutes walk from Marble Arch station and is extremely convenient for anyone based in Central London
