I recently had some dental work carried out and was surprised how well all the staff performed. They put me at ease, treated me gently and restored my faith, all polite and friendly. I would recommend to anybody. I never look forward to seeing a dentist but these guys are as good as gets 👍

A really nice and friendly dentist practice. I go to the Dentist for a check up and I to go the hygienist every 6 months and the experience is very pleasant. If I have any concerns, I am easily reassured and put at peace and anything is dealt with professionally and effectively.

Incredible staff there!!! I am really scared of having dental work but I had a tooth that was causing me lots of pain and had to come out. Best practise around, been going for years now. Always answer the phone and get an appointment. Last 2 times I’ve had same male dentist and female nurse. The nurse is the nicest person I’ve met, always remembers me and asks how I’ve been. Normally leave with a compliment or 2 so walk out feeling better than I did when I walked in. Terrible I know but I think her name is Sam or Sammy but she by far the best there is. 10/10 would recommend.

Your Review: I have been coming to this Practice for about 40 yrs and have never had a bad or painful experience. The whole team are always super friendly, helpful and understanding. The dentists, dental nurses and hygienists I have seen over the years have always been very professional and respectful. This week I saw Dr Nasir for a thorough checkup and also a clean and polish. As always Nasir was very courteous and finished up with a brief summary of the health of my mouth, teeth and gums which I find very reassuring. He always asks if I have any questions. Charming Nurse Sam assisted and was shadowed by a lovely young lady who enthusiastically said was just into her fourth week. The Dental Nurses are always very kind and have that knack of instantly putting you at ease.

I’ve always had a massive fear of going to the dentist from previous unpleasant experiences but that is 100% not the case here. Dr Nasir and Nurse Sammy have made me feel so comfortable with my treatments and explained exactly what they would be doing at each session. Amazing service at Barming Dental centre over the last 2 days. I rang as a new patient yesterday morning & was given an appointment on the same day (I had a broken tooth). I saw Dr Nasir & nurse Sammy. Everything was explained really clearly & options were given. Happily I walked out with a fixed tooth. I went back again today to see the hygienist Jurinda & nurse Sammy. Wow! What an amazing job, I feel so much more confident now. Thank you to the team at Barming Dental, you were all amazing.

If I could give this surgery 1000 stars I would. As someone who has had a phobia of dentists since a young age, due to very bad experiences the people here made me feel very comfortable and at ease I had 2 teeth removed under sedation and can honestly say my anxiety was the lowest it has ever been. Everyone is so polite and friendly and I honestly can't thank them enough.

I can honestly say hand on my heart the best dentist I have ever been to . I have not seen a dentist in over 10 years , I am autistic and ADHD and the dentist can be overwhelming for someone like me . I needed dental work done and heard that this dentist are amazing at what they do . I got an appointment and was so scared but Dr , Ahmad and nurse Sammy where so good with me made me feel safe and comfortable with the work I needed and set out a whole dental plan of the work I needed done and we are working are way through it to have the smile I always wanted . Also saw the dental hygienist Steph already heard she had a waiting list and an amazing reputation and for a good reason once again she was so good with me making me feel comfortable every step of the way giving me after care to . I saw step today and nurse sammy as I needed a second clean I don’t think I’ve ever laughed at a dentist before . Was just like being around friends that’s what it like there a Community of people that care about you and your experience and that you get the one to one care you need at a great price . I can not wait till my treatment is over and I look forward to every appointment I have with them . I could not recommend highly enough all staff are incredible at there job and looking after you .

Mr Shakeel is FANTASTIC 🤩 I am somewhat of a nervous patient through previous bad dental experiences elsewhere. However Mr Shakeel goes out his way in a calm manor to ensure you are relaxed and not stressed. He genuinely tries to make every procedure as stress-free as possibly which I truly appreciate. I just wanted to let everyone know how fantastic this dental practice is 🙂 Last year while everyone was in lockdown my daughter decided to go on a bike ride which unfortunately resulted in a severe dental emergency! Dr Shakeel was fantastic, what he managed to do on my daughter's teeth was art!! The whole team were outstanding, everyone was brilliant putting a very frightening young woman at ease at an extremely difficult time, their professionalism, care and commitment to their patient was exquisite. The first time I went it was an emergency appointment and I had to fill out some paperwork. I explained that I’m a nervous patient and I haven’t been to the dentist in a very long time because of that fear, I was looking to be put under for an extraction because I was so scared the sheer thought was giving me panic attacks. I had to have a wisdom tooth extraction which everyone told me was going to hurt, making my anxiety even worse. I spoke to the reception and they tailored my dentist to accommodate this, then informed my dentist of how scared I was so that he was prepared with extra time. Not only was the service 5* in terms of cleanliness, knowledge and professionalism, but in terms of caring for your as a patient. I had the extraction on the day, which honestly I wasn’t expecting due to how long it was going to take and the fact my previous dentist put me forward for a referral for that tooth, so that I can be put under for it because of my fear. It was painless, and I mean that genuinely, I didn’t feel a thing not on the day or the day after. The dentists explained the cost before the extraction so I wasn’t shocked when the final bill came either and it was far cheaper then I anticipated. The dentist walked me through everything and even gave me extra pain relief when he suspected I could be feeling some pain, he was professional throughout and made sure I knew exactly what he was doing so I wasn’t nervous about what was happening. There were some complications and the check up for that was free of charge, the dentist explained what happened and how is happened to reassure me again. He walked me through the possible options for treatment and let me decide what I was going to do further in that treatment as well as give me his honest opinion on the best course of action. Now the nurse that was with him was a god send, she was like a calming voice among all of the dentist technical talk. If I wanted anything explained whilst the dentist filled out paperwork she would walk me through it, she also distracted me when she saw how nervous I was with conversation about my pets and family. Finally through the procedure she was encouraging me and made sure that I knew roughly how long I had left to go. I should also point out that the second time around when I had to go to them for another emergency she remembered who I was and my precious treatments, she answered all my questions and made sure that I was comfortable and that the procedure was as painless as possible. Honestly this is the best practice I have ever been in and I will make sure to come back there for further work no matter where I live. I’m planning on moving soon 125 miles away but if I ever need any work I know that this practice is well worth the travel.

I have been with this practice since it was set up by Graham Bishop when I was 12 yrs old. I would not consider moving to another practice even though we are now living in East Sussex. They have have state of the art equipment and offer advanced dental care as routine. My husband, daughter and mother in law are all registered with Barming Dental. I decided to register at Barming Dental Centre after reading reviews and the section on their website about anxious patients. I suffer with extreme anxiety and due to this had not been to the dentist for two years. I was suffering issues with my wisdom tooth and had caused cosmetic damage to a tooth as a result of reparative behaviour when anxious. I saw Dr Ahmed for my new patient appointment, he was so friendly and welcoming. In my first appointment I went over what was bothering me and we came up with a plan, he made it clear what we were going to do and today I returned for my wisdom tooth extraction, a filling to the tooth I had caused damage to and a general clean. Dr Ahmed went through our plan again when we got there and asked if there was anything I was unsure of. I told him I was anxious about the filling as I had never had one and had heard horror stories. He explained how it would be done and showed me the tool that would be used, he demonstrated it on the back of his gloved hand to show how general it was. When numbing my mouth for the wisdom tooth again he was very clear what he was doing and counted down how long the injection was going to be. I felt completely at ease with the process (a little panic when tooth was hard to get out but that is no fault of Dr Ahmed) I would highly recommend this practice to anyone! Obviaouly you are paying private fees, but I feel the service is far superior to NHS.

I have had bad experiences with nhs dentists in Maidstone and so decided to go private as it was my front tooth. I phoned and was reassured about pricing and managed to be seen within an hour of it being chipped and it was fixed on the spot. Very pleased. Will be returning. Pricing very reasonable and tooth better than before!
