Having moved out of Urmston I still choose to make the 30 minute journey to Stretford Road Dental Surgery. All the staff are pleasant. I am not a great fan of visiting the dentist but have to say that from simple check ups & cleaning, to fillings & extractions the procedures are explained. Daniel & Ryan are always pleasant, patient & understanding & put me at ease as best they can. I have confidence in the surgery & have no intention of moving to a surgery closer to home. Long may this surgery continue to keep up their good work!

I have been a patient since Zahra and Afzal took over and in fact many, many years before that, such is the quality of the care I have received. Despite a house move now making it a 70 mile round trip, I remain with the Practice. The level of care is second to none. The staff are incredibly welcoming, professional and caring. A special mention needs to be given to Louise who goes out of her way to answer questions and ensure that every issue is dealt with promptly and efficiently and Daniel who is an incredibly talented and patient dentist; an expert in putting people at ease at what is often an anxious time. I cannot recommend this Practice highly enough. Thank you to everyone who is part of this incredible team.

I have just returned from Stretford Road Dental Surgery to have three teeth extracted.May I say it was wonderful pain free experience from start to finish .Mohamed was brilliant and explained everything..It was pain free Surgery. Like most people I don’t look forward to the dentist. Thankfully I have looked after my teeth and haven’t had to go for 20 years. I had a filling replaced by Daniel who was without don’t the most professional dentist I have ever encountered. He talked me through each part of the procedure. Once my original filling was removed I had half a tooth. Expecting a normal filling, Daniel talked me through how he would build my filling back up in layers. He took time to make sure that I was completely numb (had issues with that in the past). After going home I checked in the mirror. The way he built the tooth back up so it actually looks like a tooth and it’s really difficult to see the filling. It’s also perfectly smooth. I won’t be as stressed visiting the dentist in the future. Thank you Daniel 👏

I visited Stratford Road Dental surgery yesterday and as usual all the people who work there were friendly and helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble. My son, who has mobility difficulties, was looked after very well, enabling him to have the treatment he required in the one surgery rather than having to negotiate stairs. Was looked after by Afzal after my regular dentist referred me for root canal treatment. I’d put this treatment off for years (horror stories online didn’t help), glad I finally got it sorted, did take 2 visits as my case was somewhat difficult. Afzal was great, instilled confidence with his decorated career so far and walked me through the treatment, alternative options, and most importantly he was upfront with the longer-term risks associated with teeth requiring this type of treatment. Managing expectations is essential and this was done correctly. The treatment itself was relatively pain free, this can of course be attributed to local anaesthetic. Think of it like a long filling. To note, I do have a high pain tolerance, so your mileage may vary. No adverse symptoms at all after both visits. I overall feel content with my decision to get my treatment at this practice. If you need root canal treatment, I feel it’s right to pay the premium for peace of mind, knowing you’re in the care of someone experienced, with motive to save teeth :)

I had my first visit to the practice earlier this week and have to say the staff are amazing. Very welcoming and make you feel at ease and also stuck to my appointment time which is rare these days. The dentist himself explained everything he was going to do and made me feel comfortable (who’s not scared of the dentist?) so I felt relaxed and really well informed. Great dentist and staff.

I’m a dental therapist that had a root canal treatment done extremely intricately by Dr. Afzal, I can hands down say the most genuine interactions have been with him and the team. Every single member has been so supportive since the first time I called the practice. Dr. Afzal explained the treatment options so well and has been extremely patient with me and made me feel super comfortable during all visits to the practice. I would 100% recommend getting treatment done here. I’d like to say thank you to the entire team for being super attentive and professional.

Due to the getting on with life and the pandemic I realised that it had been 2016 since my last dental check and my current dentist had taken me of their books , having spoken to SRDS I was able to make an appointment , have a check up and sign up to their monthly dental plan all within a week. Whilst the reception staff are very friendly and helpful, and our regular Dentist, Dan, is very professional, friendly and explains everything in full, I'm dismayed that although we pay into the Practice, " Practice Dental Plan", we receive half hearted scale & polish, having to pay more if we need ALL surfaces of ALL teeth cleaned by the current hygienist, to remove all built up plaque! Correct me if I'm wrong, but regardless of patient status, a 6 monthly scale and polish is conducted to help remove built up plaque on your teeth, and not as an act of vanity? Come back Julia and Anna when we left feeling we received a good 6 monthly scale & polish, as opposed to a rushed and half hearted half yearly scale and polish.

After attending Stretford Road Dental Surgery yesterday I can honestly say I don't know what I was worried about. I was referred by my own dentist because of a complex root canal. From my first visit a consultation with Afzal I felt at ease and was willing to put my trust in him. I can't explain but from stepping into the dental practice it was a very calm environment the reception staff are lovely and the dental nurse was very reassuring I am normally very stressed attending dental appointments but Afzal is brilliant at what he does he explained everything clearly and successfully carried out my root canal which wasn't a certainty. I would like to thank Afzal and would highly recommend the practice to anyone if I lived nearer I would definitely consider joining the practice. If anyone should need an orthodontic appointment for a root canal Afzal is certainly one to trust the equipment he uses is very technical I felt very little discomfort at one point but no pain and the soothing background music really helps nice touch Afzal👍

From the moment I walked in , I was greeted by the most welcoming reception staff, who made me feel very comfortable . I then went into see the dentist Mr Maggs, I don’t like going the dentist , like probably most people , but Mr Maggs was amazing , he told me everything that he was going to do, and as he was doing the procedure he told me step by step exactly what was going on, not only that , he done a fantastic job of my teeth. Having recently joined the practice I was a bit nervous about my first visits, I needn't have been from the moment I stepped through the doors I was made to feel so welcome by the receptionists and every staff member I encountered. Amir the dentist was fantastic putting me at ease straight away and explaining everything he was doing.. The staff are pleasant, courteous and efficient. Daniel is thorough and explains everything he is doing and also outlines the long term actions. Ryan, hygienist, is also thorough. Both actions were carried out the same day, at one visit, and kept very close to the appointment times.

First visit for my wife Carole Friendly, welcoming and professional reception staff immediately put her at ease after an horrific experience earlier this year with another dental practice. Carole required a filling repair, Daniel soon put her at ease with his gentle manner, explaining what was going to be done and listening to her concerns. Great dental care from Daniel and Afzal. I'm a recently retired dentist and I visited SRDP as I had previously worked with Zahra (practice owner), Louise (practice manager) and Claire (Dental nurse) and all 3 are thoroughly skilled and professional. I knew that Zahra and Louise would make sure that the practice was ethical, up-to-date and well run. And I was delighted to find that I was right! I saw Daniel Maggs (dentist) who was highly competent and gentle, and his treatment was painless and had a perfect result! Afzal Haque (specialist endodontist) carried out my root filling which was also pain-free and used state of the art equipment and techniques.. All the reception team and nurses were kind, friendly and professional. As an ex-dentist, I have never written a review of a dental practice before (never needed to), but I write this from the perspective of someone who has dental experience and I know how treatment should be done. I would thoroughly recommend this practice!

I have been a patient at this practice for over 5 years. I have received an excellent level of care from all the staff including my dentist Zahra and all the nurses. I would recommend this practice to anyone as it is family friendly and very hospitable.
