Rob Banks and Paul Averley have a very calm, easy no nonsense manner. They explain what they are going to do and give you plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I found them both very easy to talk too. The results are totally amazing and I am so happy with my new teeth. Even when one of my implants failed they had a number of solutions and I have had a new one put in. Appointments have often been out of normal hours so that I have been able to continue working. I cannot recommend them enough. They are a professional but friendly team and the nurses are so lovely and supportive.

I choose Queensway following the amazing orthodontics treatment my partner received. My initial consultation was with Dr Paul Averley who clearly explained the best course of treatment I required. I cannot praise praise Paul and his team highly enough. Paul and his team are all thoroughly professional, highly skilled, caring and very friendly which places the patient at ease immediately. Throughout the whole treatment which involved 2 extractions I never felt a thing. I am absolutely delighted with the dentistry work Paul has performed on me. I had 10 composite veneers removed and replaced with zirconia veneers. My composite veneers served me well for many years however I felt they were due an upgrade. The finish on zirconia is amazing they are so shiny and natural looking. I am over the moon with my new smile and can not stop smiling!!

I started my journey with Mr M Garnet and Emma a very professional dental nurse, I was so nervous and worried about my oral hygiene and knew I may loose some of my teeth due to gum disease, within the first 4 treatments they listened to my concerns and I listened to the professionals. I followed the instructions like a bible on the 22nd December I had finished all my treatments with my lovely Dentist Mr M Garnet with his help I now have the most amazing results my smile is not hiding any more thank you so much for giving me confidence to bite an apple without my gums bleeding, they are not now I am at ease sitting in the dentist chair to continue my treatment with a hygienist I'm going to smile all through the new year with Confidence.

No front teeth due to old bridge failing,Covid a fear of dentists and a phobia of needles landed me in the chair of Dr Paul Averley and his team at Jesmond surgery. WOW!! My anxiety cleared as I was taken through my hole procedure and expectations and results without even hearing a buzz of drill nor dreaded needle. Yes I was sedated and had 7 extractions as well as prep done to receive my new bridge. No pain minimal bleeding,relief. Now my bridge has been fitted and I even have the most amazing smile never mind being able to talk properly again! Thanks Paul and team!! I’ve just started another journey with Pricilla Gheung also at the practice to improve my gums. Can not thank you All So much!

I wore fixed braces (ceramic on top and metal on the bottom) with Queensway Jesmond for 12 months, and I really couldn't recommend them enough. The service received was professional and friendly, and I felt confident and happy throughout the treatment process. Jonathon the Orthodontist who monitored the braces was amazing, and very helpful throughout. Christine who fitted and removed the braces was very helpful, friendly and reassuring, I usually feel quite anxious about going to the dentist but I felt she was very comforting and made me feel at ease. Also, all of the reception staff are friendly and helpful (and the reception is absolutely gorgeous - especially the copper features and wallpaper!). Couldn’t recommend here enough! Cracked 2 teeth when I was younger and they had been repaired really poorly by 2 separate dentists, discoloured and an awful shape. Was told by another dentist that I would require Invisalign to straighten and fix the 2 damaged teeth...(despite all other teeth being straight due to previous braces) Dr. Paul Avery was able to fix these in just an hour and they now look absolutely perfect!! Paul and dental nurse Charlotte have done an amazing job and have boosted my confidence loads! Also in regards to Covid 19, the team are brilliant in ensuring all standards are met and it is a perfectly safe environment!

Broke a tooth and went and saw my previous dentist. Treatment was very poor. My daughter was having orthodontic treatment at Queensway and was very impressed so went for a consultation. Was immediately put at ease and the treatment plan of removing the broken tooth and replacing it with an implant was explained thoroughly. The care I received was excellent and I couldn’t be happier. I recently had 8 composite veneers done by Dr Paul Averley, I decided to go with the try smile option so I could see what they would look like and get family/friends opinions also, i did not really like the look of it and when i returned the next day to have the try smile taken out Dr Averley listened to everything I had to say about what I wanted changing, I then returned again to go ahead with the real thing and I absolutely love them!! He really took the time to make them perfect. I used to hide my smile a lot as I hated my teeth and now I just want to show them off! I had been receiving orthodontic treatment from the NHS for several years and the treatment was taking far too long; I had braces for over 3 years because of limited appointment times leading to longer waits. I am so glad I decided to finish my treatment through Queensway. I decided to visit Queensway from recommendations when having issues with my wisdom teeth which I later had removed by Dr Banks. Queensway have always scheduled in appointments within a day of me requesting an appointment even during busy period following closure due to coronavirus. Dr Averley has spent a long time with me explaining and deciding on a step by step treatment plan to improve the health and function of my teeth. Dr Averley has been so reassuring and patient when I have been in for treatments and really put me at ease, along with Amber the dental nurse working alongside him. This really feels like a superior service and I am happy to put trust in the staff here to recommend and provide treatments in my best interest. I've gone from fearing dental work to being excited to get it out of the way. If you suffer with dental anxiety I can't recommend Dr Averley and Queensway's staff enough. What can I say, after years of contemplating getting braces I finally took the plunge. I had fixed metal braces for around 18 months and my god I didn’t expect such drastic results in such little time. What an amazing job! The receptionists, Gemma and Katie are professional and friendly and my dentist, Paul Davies, is extremely patient and calming. I also have my teeth cleaned by Jane and Steph and the results are always wonderful. I travel from London to have my teeth cared for by the excellent team at Queensway. I think that speaks volumes!

As a 57-year-old woman with overcrowded lower teeth, I was naturally very apprehensive about going down the Invisalign route; my last, very painful and unattractive, experience with braces being in 1972! The Team at Queensway were excellent and answered my many and frequent questions in a timely and reassuring way. The Invisalign retainers have been easy to manage and are very discreet. Although I still have a couple of months still to go, I can honestly say that I'm delighted with the results so far.

My journey started back in 1998, a 12 year old sports enthusiast keen to try everything until my first friendly hockey match left me with no front teeth! As dramatic as that may sound, I didn’t actually realise I’d lost them until I looked down at the grass and saw them staring back at me. Needless to say, the next 7 years of engagement at various dentists wasn’t great. I was always pretty resilient, didn’t mind the injections etc. but I genuinely think that back in the 1990’s, care was very transactional and we all just seemed to accept that. I always felt like I was having something done to me, never part of the solution or afforded the courtesy of being part of the decision making process and in the main I’ve felt like that for what has been at times a very uncomfortable 30 years of dental treatment, until I found Paul at Queensway. When I sat in Paul’s chair in October 2018, I had 3 front teeth missing (my 3rd bridge had finally given up the ghost) desperate to restore my smile yet petrified of the unknown with every bone in my body telling me to leave and forget I’d ever considered seeing him. However, onThursday June 20th 2019......I celebrated my new dental implants. I’ve had extractions, wisdom teeth out, implants and a sparkly new bridge fitted. There is no way I’d have been able to even consider let alone go through with any of those things without the understanding, care, inclusion and empathy of Paul and his awesome team. Queensway dental is purpose driven and outcome focused and it’s all about us - the patient, the customer, whatever you want to call us. I know for sure, I won’t go anywhere else! Thank you so much for transforming my smile, my life and for making trips to the dentist an absolute pleasure - something I never thought I’d say!

I had suffered for years with a sore tooth no other Dentist could find anything wrong and I had endless X rays as they all thought said tooth had a fracture and would require root canal surgery and/or implant. One visit to Dr Paul Avery and I’m cured,no surgery, no antibiotics just intelligent diagnosis (unconscious tooth grinding) and solution (mouth guard) and Hey Presto no more pain! Would not go anywhere else - sign up for their plan, it’s extremely good value.

where do i start!! I was appointed to queensway by a very good dentist friend, he stated they would be the best orthodontist to get the very best smile from my teeth. Was he right. Not only has guy and the girls down queensway give me the best smile I could ever have even hoped for. The last two years I have worked away from home, making appointments near impossible to get on the right days I'm home. Although they bent over backwards and went out their way to make it possible. I cannot thanks the team at Jesmond enough, their kind, funny, caring attitude and not to mention that they make you feel very welcome. I first saw Dr Averley last year at his Billingham practice, on a recommendation from my own dentist. The request was for a possible implant . DR Averley gave me a lot of time , including e-Ray's. To gather information on a full assessment of the condition of all my teeth. He then proceeded to give me In depth details of what actually --really needed doing. At no time was there any pressure. Which l found quite refreshing. My front crowns had not been replaced since l was 24yrs old and now unfortunately ,heading towards 63 yrs of age . Realisation of the true extend of work that was needed was a jolt into reality. I had become very aware of how l was smiling with my hand over my mouth, because my gums were receding and the posts were becoming visible. Which meant l was very embarrassed. Well moving fwd. --l did my homework and everyone l spoke to , including other dentists --highly recommended Mr Averley as "The Best In His Field " in our area. I built up courage and finally decided to go ahead and put my faith in Mr Averley , who dealt with me at the Jesmond clinic as l had now moved house I had a four hour semi- conscious preparation and a further hour fitting approx 3 weeks later- again under anesthetic . My treatment plan consisted of 2 extractions, 2 bridges. 2 root fillings, 7 new crowns and fillings-- which was no joy ride. I never felt a thing!!! Truly Amazing !!!- should have done it years ago. The in between gap, between preparation and final fitting had a few eating issues. But are to be expected and not worth any in depth conversation I am now the proud owner of the most wonderful smile -- thanks to Dr Averley and the team in front and behind the scenes. We recently brought our student son home from Birmingham University where he had visited the dental hospital there following a couple of days of tooth ache from a pre-existing root canal treatment from a sporting accident some eight years prior. Whilst they were happy to perform a root canal procedure, the complexity involved in re-doing an existing one meant he was faced with an unacceptable delay. We were immediately able to get an emergency appointment at Queensway in Jesmond where he was seen at very short notice. Dr. Paul Averley performed the procedure using state of the art equipment that is more reminiscent of a top hospital and bears no resemblance to a traditional dental practice. He then explained the 'before and after' using imagiary and clear meaningful terminology. I am happy to say the prognosis is very positive. I would like like to thank all involved for their utter professionalism.
