I would not hesitate to recommend this practice. I have a real fear of the dentist and have had to go twice in the last couple of weeks but could not have had better service. Everyone I came into contact with was very friendly. All the covid rules were clearly explained so I knew exactly what to expect. I’ve been with this practice now for over 40 years, so in that time have seen a few dentists!! Mr Lamb is exceptional, before COVID his care was fabulous, always kind, chatty and considerate. I visited the surgery with my daughter on Monday for the first time since all the new restrictions were put in place, with slight anticipation. Great experience the other day, when I went for my check up. Things were different this time, due to the covid regulations which meant you couldn't wait inside to be called. Instead you were given a number, to the surgery you had your appointment to see your dentist, which reduces the amount of risk for everyone. Staff always friendly, and making things feel positive, under the new restrictions.

Great service provide by the Team in these unprecedented times. Registering by text message and waiting for a call back to confirm that it is safe to come into the building is a good idea to avoid unnecessary gatherings in the dentist reception. Temperature checks and and sanitising hands as you enter the reception is useful to protect the staff. The staff are still very friendly and helpful.

The appointment was great. Very swift and painless. Dr Richard Staincliffe was amazing and he talked me through everything on the phone. The only issue was I telephoned into the surgery as I arrived (as requested on the email as part of the covid19 procedure) I ended up waiting outside the surgery, nearly past my appointment for somone to let me in. It was only by chance that Dr Staincliffe was passing and he saw me that I was let in. I think that part needs to be organised a bit better by the admin team.

I got an emergency appointment due to being in some pain, during this appointment my dentist worked a treatment plan to fix my my problem and other work that needed doing. I had a tooth extracted which turned out to be a tricky one unfortunately my own dentist was unable to remove the root, but I was given an appointment the next day with another dentist at the practice. I must say I wasn't looking forward to the root extraction, the dentist and nurse put me at ease straight away with the nurse offering to holding my hand when I had the injection. The dentist did manage to remove the root and i never felt a thing and I was so grateful to them both.

Visiting the dentist is always a stressful time, the Covid-19 pandemic has added to the stress. My appointment was cancelled a year ago and I was not looking forward to my appointment. As my husband is clinically extremely vulnerable, we had been shielding for a year. I had never sent an SMS message before. I followed the surgery's instructions and parked nearby a good 10 minutes ahead of my appointment. I sent an SMS message, as per the instructions. I went for a walk and later realised that I had sent the message to the wrong number. I called the surgery thinking I may have missed my appointment. I need not have worried, the receptionist was very calm and reassured me that I was still expected and should go to the front door. The dentist met me, he was wearing PPE and after spraying my hands with gel, he conducted the examination and offered extra information.The surgery was well ventilated. All staff were very professional and calm making the experience as stress free as possible.

Made an appointment for a tooth that had broken whilst dentists were shut. I had an assessment and was then advised on the treatment. The dentist di a thorough job by checking all of my teeth and their condition. The dental surgery had all safety measures in place and I felt very confident having the treatment advised. Since then it has mostly been very good but I thought this last visit was exceptionally good for customer service and professionalism. Had 2 visits in the past 2 weeks. The first was just a routine check up followed by treatment 2 weeks later. Both visits were very well organised. Texting to let them know you had arrived and receiving the message to make my way to the main entrance was very easy to use. I felt totally safe entering and walking through the building and when receiving treatment both dentist and dental nurse were wearing full PPE. Couldn't fault the helpfulness of the service and advice I received. I was escorted in, out and through the building for my entire visit.

I had an appointment recently and the staff are always friendly and helpful. My dentist is friendly and makes you feel at ease in what could be a not very comfortable experience. The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is because I often feel very rushed and like they just want you to get in and out as quickly as possible. I received an email advising of the dat and time of the appointment and a reminder before the day. I've been at this practice since I was young and now my son goes too because I have always had excellent service - they are very accommodating and the dentists and hygienists are friendly and welcoming. But when I tried to explain that I thought I was entitled to free dentistry at the moment (which I am) the receptionist was so rude and condescending and made me feel so embarrassed that I just paid and left feeling quite upset. When I got home I checked and It turns out I am entitled to free treatment at the moment. I was in a lot of pain and in no mood to explain my circumstances in from of the queue of other patients but left disappointed this time.

I have been a patient of Duston Dental Practice since 2009, usually attending their St Crispins branch before moving house, overall they are good, the down side is now it is a 7 hour round trip for me to use them., but one dentist told me I did not need a check up for 9 months last year, think she definately made a mistake on that one. I went to have a filling after losing one that I'very had for several years. The worst thing for me is the injection, but I actually barely felt it. The rest of the treatment was painless and Margaret, who did the treatment is a very nice person. My husband and I recently visited for our regular check-ups. Only a couple of days before Xmas and during this awful lockdown I began to have a niggling toothache. I had had a check-up during the summer so didn't think it was a bad tooth but due to the timing and difficulty of finding anyone who could help at that time of the year I asked for an emergency appointment. The dentist telephoned me back within the time I was told and after taking through the problem thought that I would be OK during the holiday period gave me 'cleaning' procedures which would help. I followed these and the problem has now cleared up but I was very grateful for the help I received.

As usual the treatment I received from both the dentist and hygienist was excellent. However, when I came to pay I was told I hadn’t paid a deposit for my hygienist appointment( which I definitely had). When it was investigated I was told my deposit had been used to offset a previous bill for other dental treatment. As this went back 8 months I had no way of checking this. As a way of improving your practice I suggest you keep patient payments separate for individual treatments or at least inform them at the time of payment if you cannot override this on your system.

I have had toothache on and off since early March had an appointment in April cancelled due to Covid-19, on Monday 17 August my tooth was very sore I rang the surgery and the triarge dentist Rachel rang me back and made an appointment for the next morning. I turned up at appointment time and found the system in place very good, found the Dentist (Rachel) very informative and helpful and the assistant also very pleasant which made the visit very calming in these unusual times.

I visited the dentist as I had a severe pain in my mouth, Swelling was noticed and an x-ray taken which showed an hairline crack running up the tooth. My experience has been first class, the covid precautions were 1st class, and my treatment couldn't be faulted and my dentist was excellent. I have just one criticism. I received an email directing me to St. Chrispin's Surgery with all details of where to gain admittance. Some days later I was emailed again with a change of time but this time the address was given as Main Road, Duston. I waited in Main Road only to be telephoned to tell me that I should have been at St. Chrispin's, this made me late arriving for my appointment which was annoying for me but more importantly held up a very busy dentist and no doubt delaying other appointments. I have now received a follow up appointment which also give the address as Main Road, Duston. I would be grateful if you would clarify this for other patients who could possibly be misled. D.B.Green

I can't fault the service I've recieved from Duston Dental Practice (St.Crispin). On arrival to the front door I was greated by a member of staff who then checked my appointment. I was asked to go around the back where I would be invited directly into the surgery room. I have been a patient with this dental practice, since moving to live in Northampton in the early 80’s. The legacy of Dr Somogyi’s first class patient service and treatment, together with the personal and individualised care approach he gave before he retired, has continued. This has been grown and maintained throughout all the policy changes and developments in dentistry, that has taken place since. Staffing has remained consistent throughout the years, with past and recent new faces, who are familiar at each visit and remember you each time. Friendliness and professionalism go hand in hand across the range of services offered by this practice.

Excellent service and my wife and I were seen in good time. We did have a bit of a problem in the car park. My wife has a blue badge and the two (only!) disabled bays were taken up by vehicles not showing such a badge. Would it be possible for a sign to be put up making it very palin that these spaces are for genuinely disabled people? We had to use a space right over the other side of the park and were fortunate to have good weather.

Booking an appointment is almost impossible. Called 3 times, left 2 voicemails and sent an email. Ended up going in to book an appointment. Wanted to book a hygiene appointment in april but first available appointment mid July. I did manage to get a cancellation for June. The dentist and hygienist I cannot fault, both are great. Reception dreadful. I asked for an invoice to claim on my insurance and the receptionist had to print three off before giving me the correct one. One is very unsure (maybe new) the other one is extremely rude and condescending. If I experience the same or similar next time, then will definitely join another dental surgery.

This is my second visit at Duston Dental Practice, I came back to see Dr Staincliffe after having a terrible experience with two dentists elsewhere (who between them had 5 attempts at the same filling that kept falling out or giving me unbearable pain). Just like the last time I saw him, Dr Staincliffe was excellent - he patiently explained to me what he thought the problem was, answered all my questions, suggested a new way of doing the filling (which worked like a charm) and reviewed the rest of my teeth suggesting a way forward. He also took the time to give me recommendations on how I could improve my dental care - prevention is better than cure. Totally worth travelling to Northampton for (from London)! I can't recommend this practice enough.

All very straightforward except that entry door and dentists chair are difficult for disabled patients, also all chairs in waiting are too low for some folk with disability issues like mine. These problems could be solved by making it easier for wheelchair user to enter and exit.

5 stars! I recently had my first experience at Duston Dental Practice with Dr Staincliffe and it was a very comforting experience. This is unusual for me because I typically have a great deal of anxiety about dental care due to my sensitivity to pain and my poor experiences with other dentists in the past. The friendly staff and welcoming environment put me at ease and Dr Staincliffe was very gentle and professional.
