I've had nothing but excellent service here. The dentist's are so considerate and make you feel very comfortable. They're also very knowledgeable and take the time to explain your treatment. In my most recent visit for a filling, I was asked by my dentist Dr George Bryan what he could do to help me feel more relaxed and comfortable, which I've never had a dentist ask me before and made all the difference. He made the whole experience much less daunting and made sure to look after his patient during the treatment. Even though I live outside of Oxford, I will not be moving to a closer dental practice because they are so good here.

Lovely dentist, have been going here about 5 years and have never needed any treatment beyond checkups, thanks to following the helpful advice of my dentist. At my recent appointment my dentist took the time to give my wisdom teeth a clean and helpfully explained how to use interdental brushes to make cleaning them easier. I used to dislike the dentist but now it feels stress free!

Had a very thorough examination this week. Dentist has good ‘bedside manner’ (essential for me - but they don’t always!) The hygienist there is also very good. I have in the past found it nearly impossible to get through on the phone - but this appears to have improved recently.

I called as my molar was loose and really painful. The staff were really helpful on the phone. I needed an emergency appointment. 3 days later I was there. X-ray done. Unfortunately I had an infection under the tooth. 5 days later I finished the antibiotics and 2 days after that another emergency appointment. Tooth out with no pain. Great staff. Very professional. Excellent price.

I never thought I’d ever say this, but it was an absolute joy visiting the dentist! But only with Studental! The reception staff and dental technicians were wonderful, all were extremely friendly, polite and very professional every time. I cannot fault them one bit. And I wasn’t just there for a polish up either, I had three, much needed extractions and I was made to feel extremely comfortable and had a great dentist who made me feel at ease throughout. As someone who had a bad experience with a local dental practice, I can thoroughly recommend Dr Jane and her team to anyone who may have any issues or a fear of the dentist, especially considering this hasn’t been the easiest couple of years with regards to the dreaded coronavirus. They have handled the health and hygiene aspect of the practice with outstanding competence and rectitude. Studental is very professional and student-friendly! I had a difficulty booking an emergency dentist appointment since I am an international student. Phoned 111 and 5 different dental practices in Oxford with no luck at all. Eventually, one studental reception was kind enough to book me one for the day after, and I am very satisfied with their NHS care. They cared about my tooth and offered a root canal treatment first (while other dentist I visited flat out suggested extraction and implant), the doctor was skillfull, and procedure was painless. Thx studental! Would give 6/5 if I could!

I had an excellent experience with Studental/Damira Oxford. I had avoided dentists for years due to fears of damage after some health issues, but they made everything feel safe and fine. I needed a couple of fillings done, including repair to my front teeth where I had worries about some thinned enamel, and the dentist was so kind and understanding while doing an expert job. They provide excellent NHS dental care which can be hard to find in current times, so I recommend them highly. Edit: I also saw the hygienist privately (necessitated by COVID restrictions on hygienist work) and they were also so calming and friendly and it's made me so much more comfortable with getting dental care and treatment. I had my Invisalign treatment done with Dr katerina and my results are amazing. As a new patient I was not confident at all that the Invisalign treatment would help me but when I met Dr katerina she explained and guaranteed that I would have the desired results . My case was very complex but now I have completed my treatment and my teeth are straight in line and really make me look beautiful.I would really recommend Dr katerina if any one is thinking of getting the treatment done. She is a perfectionist in her Job and goes an extra mile to help help her patients if in need . Thank you Dr Katerina for making me look beautiful again.

A very good and helpful dental service! I arrived early but was fitted in immediately as the next patient had not yet arrived - and delighted to find that the dentist was a woman. She was friendly, efficient and explained everything she did as she went along. No problems with my teeth were found which was very pleasing given the amount of time I spend brushing and flossing them.

I went there for my wisdom tooth and also for my jaw pain issue I used to have(still have) in 2017 and they were the most caring dentist ever! I know this from having been to other dentist in Oxford and can say this with full authority now that the dentist at Brookes Studental are very caring and take the time to explain everything to you without any judgement. After having experienced other Oxford dentists who've been VERY JUDGEMENTAL about not having a dental plan and only going to the dentist on emergencies which POOR people have to do so I don't understand how dentists can be rude to you when you're at your most vulnerable which is why I loved Studental. They understood that people are at their lowest point when visiting medical professionals and they require help and support both physically and mentally at the dentist table which I felt like I had with them - a sense of true care and support.

Excellent custormer service! I did my Invisalign treatment at Studental with Dr Katerina and was super pleased with my treatment. Dr Katerina was ever so sweet, professional, and a perfectionist (definitely helpful when I wanted my teeth to look great). She would go through the extra mile to make sure that I get the best smile. I highly recommend Studental Dental Care. The hygienist Will is brilliant and his advice and treatment has kept my teeth and gums the healthiest they've been in decades - no fillings work since I joined the practice years ago! Whichever dentist I get for my check ups and the occasional dental mishap, I know I will get the highest possible quality assessment and treatment. The reception team are cheery, helpful and efficient. This review sounds over the top, I know, but I've had lots of problems with my teeth over the years and it makes such a difference to find a dental practice like Studental which means I can stop worrying about my teeth, avoid toothache and keep the teeth I've got left!

I have had a very nice experience at Studental so far. I am under a treatment plan with Katerina who is the most professional orthodontist I have found in Oxford (and trust me I have looked!). I have had some constant issues with my teeth and been warned that my treatment would be long and complex but Katerina took me on anyway, which I am very thankful for (I can already see the results of her work)! The facilities are extremely modern and the atmosphere of the whole place just generally feels very professional and makes you feel like you’re in good hands. I’d definitely recommend Studental to someone who is looking for a good and fair dentist service in Oxford.

Staff are lovely! From the receptionists to the dentist! I called on the morning of my appointment and the receptionist was so understanding about my situation. On arrival the receptionist was really smiley, warm and welcoming. I got called in like 3 mins before appointment time (which I was amazed at, cos usually at my previous dentist I'd be waiting at least 15 mins after appointment time) you can say 3 mins isn't a lot but to me time is time!! Moving on- in the dental room Dr Shiraly Patel checked out my teeth and explained what she would do and hownshe was going to do it. She made sure I understood and asked if I had any questions. This is not something I've experienced before so for me it was amazing! She talked through everything! Told me what i need to do and told me of amd when i meed to book again! Super happy with the service! Definitely get more than what you pay for here!!!

The service from the staff was great, i'm very confident them. Really flexible appointment times. However, the lowest band cost is now £21.60 and for that i got a routine check up. the check up consisted of maybe 1 minute of nice small talk and "do you floss", and then 90 seconds of the dentist looking at my mouth and doing a quick gum check. It was efficient and my teeth were completely fine, but i feel a little bit cheated having paid £20+ for under 3 minutes of service. In the past they have offered me a quick extra clean or applied a varnish/gel to help prevent sensitive teeth which was nice. ( yes i understand that also covers the receptionists/other staff pay, and the cleaning of the gum prodding tool)

Great dental group right at the top of Headington Hill. We've been going as a family for awhile now - appointments easy to sort and they have a consistent staff. Team is mindful of time and make sure you get a complete examination and ideal follow-ups. They provide both NHS and private care - which is great if you wish to have options! Thing to note - no parking in the area, so more ideal for those who bus, walk, and cycle - but as they are literally outside of a major stop it's super easy to get to.

really good experience at this dentist. its a new practise with good facilities. they were happy to register me as a new NHS patient which was a relief, and within a week id got my first appointment. you get reminders by email and text message which are really useful and my dentist is a nice guy. had a clean and polish which was painless and the results were great. also paid to have a white filling and the standard of care and finish was super - much better than my previous dentist in central oxford.

Recently suffered a mouth abscess, which I endured for 4days before calling Studental. I was offered an appointment within 30 minutes, which I couldn't accept because of my travelling time to the practice, so I was offered an alternative at 9am, Saturday. Despite the fact the abscess 'disappeared' on Friday evening, I was treated professionally, sympathetically and comprehensively in about 20 minutes. Cannot fault these people on any level. I'm 66, and having moved many times with my job, have been registered with 11 practices in my lifetime. Studental are without doubt, the best practice I have ever been registered with.

Went in for a routine clean and realized I needed a filling. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful but the dentist I saw on both occasions left me with the impression that they were a dental student / in training. The cleaning was not finished (only addressed the front top and bottom teeth - no attention at all to the back / molars). My filling was improperly attached - it broke or was somehow cracked within two weeks and left me with excruciating hot and cold sensitivity. While it was replaced without charge, my follow up experience was equally unimpressive.

Having had a traumatic experience with my previous (private) dentist I hadn’t had a check up for over four years. A friend recommended Studental and I am glad she did. A full audit of my problems was carried out, remedial work done, and a programme of treatment was recommended and explained clearly. I have completely lost my fear of dentistry thanks to Studental after three of the most stress-free dental appointments I have ever had. My only regret is having wasted so much money in the past on private dental treatment!

However, it's annoying to have to go through a slowish process of filling in details (most of which were already there, and many of which did not seem relevant), and especially annoying to discover that I was wrongly registered as having a different family doctor in a practice I had never heard of. Do you really need to have your patients check their details every time they attend for a checkup?

This is an excellent Dental Practice. I am an older patient and therefore have experienced many years of dental care mainly in the north of England. I can recommend this practice to anyone. I have recently had an appointment with the hygienist to scale and polish my teeth. The result was extremely satisfactory with more scale removed and less sensitivity to my teeth than my previous dentists.

Unlike any dentist I've ever met before, they really focus on prevention, and as a result my general oral health has improved immensely since being their patient. Andrey is an exceptionally good dentist- his procedures are virtually painless, and the results are outstanding. He goes out of his way to explain the situation and the options you have. The practice itself is clean, modern and pleasant. Appointments are easy to get and they conveniently allow you to book checkups online.

I have conflicting opinions about this practice. In general it is a lovely place with friendly atmosphere. My first visit was with Dr Shiraly Patel, who, in my opinion was rude and unprofessional. She sounded like a 16 year-old high school girl, was very patronising and at one point rolled her eyes at me. This made an already difficult situation so much worse than it had to be. On my next visit I found out she did not fill in the records completely so the next doctor only knew what she had done because there was another person to tell her (I came back two days later). My next visit was with Dr Vendi Chinimilli, who was much better, she was friendly, not judging and professional. She was open and honest, explained what was happening, explained my options and listened to what I have to say. I had a lot of questions that may have seemed silly but she was very kind in answering all of them and explaining what I did not understand. She is the reason I am giving this a high rating.

Appointments were running to time. My inspection was quick and no problems. No Xray, though I was surprised to be asked to come back in 6 months. The possibility of implants was raised as I had a preliminary consultation earlier this year. However, I still have reservations for various reasons.

A very modern and up-to-date dental practice with all the latest equipment. I did not like being asked what my medical problems are ( I couldn't remember the name of my tablets) while in the middle of a crowded waiting area, and the receptionists always seem more interested in taking your money than taking care of you.

I think that the appointment was short, fast and the solution was as well short and simpler. I would like more concern about my problem. I was in pain and the only solution that I receive was " wash your teeth with water and salt, an antibiotic if something happened and call again if the pain return".

Called about an appointment for a surface filling on my tooth, one I had put in the previous year or so. The receptionist said I would need two appointments, one for a check up, second to do the work. Why? When I had it done previously it was done on the same day, back then I only went in for a check up and was fixed by the Dentist in the same appointment, it took minutes. Having explained this, the receptionist still proceeded to say "that's not how we do things", a line I hate nearly as much as "We've always done it that way". Wont be using their service again, will find a reasonable dentist that can be helpful, practical and NOT waste my time with multiple appointments for a simple fix - I have a job, I cant keep taking time off for stupid, multiple, unnecessary appointments. Book me in for 30 mins and I'll pay for the time - get real, get sensible, join the 21st Century and offer a better service that people want! UPDATE (26/7): Following this, I received a call from the practice manager (PM) explaining that they could do the work, but if it took longer than expected it would require a second visit to the practice to ensure they could fit checkup and filling in the alloted slot. All fine with me! This wasn't made clear by receptionist but PM, Eva, identified a learn and sounds as though she will put measures in place to address. Upped to 3 stars, which I think is fair.

Amaazing dentist! It was my first time today after mediocre experienced at previous dentists. The young Asian dentist - sorry I'll ask for her name later - went above and beyond to take X-rays, listen to me explain my symptoms - then correctly diagnised gum deseise and bone deteration in upper jaw, gave a very thorough hygienist clean, and made a referal to JR hospital to take a swab of a wort that had appeared under my tongue. She was patient and bright and thoroughly professional. The staff were also exceptional and chatty like me. Reminded me if the old days of the NHS where you got to see people who were genuinely interested in your health and doing the right thing instead of quickly fobbing you off in a patronising way like many other NHS dentists and GPs.

Great dentists and great service. The hygienist is expensive and only partially completes the cleaning to ensure you go back. It was so much better when dentists also "cleaned" your teeth and it made sense as it can prevent future dental problems.
