Staff are really lovely, you get such a lovely feel straight from the get go. John was brilliant and very professional. He made me feel so at ease. Had my consultation here and it was extremely thorough. It exceeded my expectations and was worth the price. Based on what I had worked out on the website, my treatment would have cost £1000 maximum so i was really disappointed when I was quoted £1800 for 2x composite bonding. I was quoted £900 from a near by 5 star dentist so I shall be going there. Brilliant dentist so I wouldn’t have minded paying more than others, but £900 difference is extortionate.

I Have been with John and his fantastic team for over 20 years and have always received exceptional care and a very high standard of work. John is extremely gentle, caring and calming and quickly put me at ease on my first visit all those years ago. Even though I moved out of the area a few years ago John is still my dentist and I would recommend him and his team to anyone.

Prior to starting my dental treatment with John I was very anxious about visiting the dentist. However, that all changed when I found John Moore Dental practice, from my first appointment I immediately felt at ease and I stopped dreading the trip to the dentist thanks to John and his lovely team. When I initially came to John I had poor oral health. John and his team supported me through my treatment plan and were professional and reassuring every step of the way. The level of care I received during my appointments along with the vast improvement I could see in my own oral health gave me the confidence to speak to John about the insecurities I had with my smile. John arranged a ‘smile trial’ appointment where he went through various options all of which would improve the aesthetics of my smile but in different ways. John was so helpful and answered all of my follow up questions, he even sent me images of my smile and showed me which aspects could be changed. John also took the time to speak to me over the phone to explain each procedure in detail so that I could confidently come to a decision that was right for me. It's now 1 month since John replaced my two front crowns and I could not be happier with how they look - I genuinely haven't stopped smiling since I left the practice! Finally after years of hating seeing my smile in pictures I can't wait to show off my bright white smile in front of the camera. I honestly can’t thank John and his team enough for the new confidence they’ve given me.

I was not a patient of John but when my front crown suddenly broke in half my NHS dentist recommended John as the aesthetic results he achieves are excellent. Not only did they fit me in at very short notice, but the service I received by the whole team was first class. The crown looks fabulous (and better than the old one). I am delighted with my new veneers! John and his team are lovely! All are friendly, caring and professional. I had a couple of old veneers that were not looking that great, John is a fantastic Cosmetic Dentist - an artist! He managed to restore my smile to how I remember it before I damaged the teeth. John and his team are highly professional . I would like to however highlight the skill of John as an aesthetic dentist. The attention to detail and the time he takes to get the best result possible is the biggest selling point . I have come away with just the result I wanted . The technology is advanced nowadays in aesthetic dentistry but in my opinion only as good as the practitioner applying it and John is the best ! His expertise is cascaded down to the nurses who all equally demonstrate knowledge , skill and a super eye for detail. The treatment I had was a set of beautiful Veneers. I cannot praise John and his team enough. It was also pain free and I was made very comfortable throughout the process. I would not consider any where else for my dentistry . Best in the South West!

I had a chip filled in in one of my upper front two teeth in December 2019. The first consultation is free and the staff are so friendly and helpful you can see why they don't have to charge. All my options were clearly explained to me and when it came to the procedure I felt very at ease and in good hands. The results are phenomenal! I have had this chip filled in by different practises for the past 15 years and my tooth has never looked and felt so complete. I was offered further work to fix my other teeth for a reduced price if I came back within the year and if I had the money spare I would be back in a flash. Highly recommend and definitely worth the money!

I had needed dental treatment for a while but was extremely nervous about visiting a dentist. An invite to a formal occasion prompted me to make an appointment so I did some research on the Internet. I was looking for someone who would help me with my nerves whilst offering a quality service . I read testimonials for John's practice and plucked up the courage to give them a call From the word go the staff were knowledgeable, helpful and respectful of my nervousness. I was offered an appointment shortly after and have since had a bridge fitted and am absolutely delighted with the results. I am writing this review a week after root canal treatment. I never had such procedure done before, but probably just like everyone else, I've heard horror stories involving lots of pain and time. None of that was true at all. My treatment lasted about 1 hour and 40 minutes, perhaps a bit less, and my pain relief was very well managed. The atmosphere in the surgery was very relaxed, yet professional and during my whole appointment I felt at ease enough to contemplate all the skill and modern technology that is being used to save my tooth. All that was required of me was to keep still and allow the work to be done. I appreciate that each case is different and other people's perception of discomfort can vary from mine, but I really am happy with the treatment I have received. I followed my aftercare with simple over the counter pain relief during the evening and I woke up, and remain, totally comfortable. I am very glad that my dental care is with Dr Moore and his staff, all of whom are so lovely! Thank you again!

Firstly- INCREDIBLE! I have never, ever experienced such fantastic care and treatment from a dentist such as John and his team!!! I initially went to John because my filling on my front tooth kept breaking away, which made my front teeth look worse then they actually were. After he fixed my front tooth I enquired about braces, as my teeth were extremely crooked and I had always been particularly self-conscious about my smile. My consultation that day with John, who was extremely informative and very detailed with what treatment I needed to undergo, sealed the deal (along with his amazing staff!). I am a student so didn’t have the funds straight to hand, but both him and his staff respected that and the services I received was outstanding!! I honestly can’t describe how outstanding it was! But I can say the results have changed my life and now I actually like going to the dentist! Throughout my treatment the staff were so accommodating and kind, as well as John being an absolute legend and wizard with teeth!! Honestly, if I would have known about John Moore Dental when I first went to Plymouth University then my teeth would have been corrected much sooner. However, thank god my filling on my front tooth broke when it did, as I wouldn’t be as confident as I am now in day-to-day life with my perfect smile! I finished my treatment in July (I haven’t stopped smiling since!!!) and moved away. But would just like to state that now I would never let any other dental practice touch my teeth but John and his team. I would quite happily travel the miles back for a general check up or if I ever have an issue with my teeth (if that’s not dedication to an amazing, life changing service then I don’t know what is!). The thought of having braces as an adult really scared me, filled me with thoughts such as 'you're too old to have braces', 'adults don't have braces.... just deal with having your teeth'. But the problem was, was that I just couldn't settle with waking up every morning, smiling in the mirror and never feeling confident with my crooked teeth. When visiting John and the lovely team at John Moore Dental for the first time, he made me feel at ease, squashing all of my fears and reassured me that lots of adults have braces nowadays and it's really quite normal. When the braces were fitted, I was surprised with how discreet they were, and returning to work the next day - not one person noticed! At every dental session, John took the time to show me progression photos and this made me so excited with the way my teeth were being realligned! I wore my braces for a total of 5 months and I am sitting here now looking at the before and after photos John has just emailed me and all I can say is Wow! My teeth may never be perfect but they are in the best shape for me and I cant thank John, Marie and Chrissie enough! I would highly recommend John Moore dental if you are thinking of having your teeth straightened and I am looking forward to heading back there for my teeth whitening!!

The poor treatment I received as a child aged 10yrs (from different dentists) for a broken from tooth left me traumatised and lacking confidence in myself. It had a big impact on my school and adolescent years and I struggled with social interaction as I felt unattractive and unable to smile. I felt so angry that these professional people could be so ignorant and disrespectful, at a time when you feel so vulnerable and appearance is so important. There was, in my opinion lack of interest or concern, they did not stop to talk to me about how I felt or my emotional wellbeing. Primarily it was about making money getting you done as quickly as possible and doing what they wanted. Respect for my dental hygiene became non- existent, and so over many years my teeth, oral hygiene and wellbeing suffered terribly. Having reached a very low point in my life, I knew I needed to try and make the changes to my teeth in order to move forward. It wasn’t the actual treatment that made me nervous it was more about being understood. Apprehensively I took a huge step and nervously went to John Moore Dentistry. Chrissie was my first contact she was kind and understanding, John listened and acknowledged my concerns with compassion, the first time anyone has taken the trouble to talk to me about “how I felt about my teeth and appearance” he spoke to me with honest and open opinions. He included me in every step of my treatment, he acknowledged that I needed to achieve an acceptable outcome and within a short timeframe. My treatment was planned and I had many long appointments. John always made sure I was comfortable and happy with the progress as we went along, he acknowledged any worries or concerns I had and together we agreed solutions. After an intense few months my faith has been restored by John, I am now able to smile and my new look teeth are helping me to regain my confidence and feel like my life is worthwhile. Chrissie is a credit to this practice she was always interested in me and my progress, she is a kind and caring person, and not forgetting the other ladies who were also friendly and approachable making up a friendly yet professional practice. Yes yes yes yes yes yes. John is an excellent man with a superb sense of rhythm. He'll make your teeth look and feel exactly like teeth. If you ask him nicely he'll also dress up as a priest and sing you a lullaby while doing an astoundingly artistic reenactment of child birth from the perspective of the child. Not only do I have the privilege of working at this lovely practice, but John has just performed a miracle and saved a very 'doomed' tooth...a very old bonded crown which a nasty black margin, which I have been very conscious of for a long time...on removing the crown John was surprised at how the crown was still in place, with very little left of the tooth John worked his magic and restored with a lovely new cerec crown with the help of his lovely nurse Marie.
