Our dental treatment at Staina House has been 5 star all the way. We are new patients with poor experiences at our former provider of dental health care. David has proved to us that empathy, patience and a genuine caring persona exists in this profession, and we are grateful for his expertise.

I have been on a teeth journey for approximately 3 plus years ! A few years ago I made a tentative enquiry regarding having my teeth straightened with David at Staina House. Although I have always been an NHS patient, my NHS dentist didn’t seem very engaged with me to pursue this as I was then in my late 50’s. So I sought a private opinion . I remember David being very kind, but very honest and I left the appointment being told it would be a long journey to straighten my teeth and my overall teeth hygiene needed a lot of improving first and foremost . I did feel gutted and almost gave up the idea, thinking I knew best and my teeth were clean enough !!! They were not . I am a good listener and so stepped back, took the criticism and used it constructively to move forwards. Only when David felt my teeth were in good enough condition did he refer me for braces and this was at least a year from my first visit. I wore fixed braces for 17 months. David had to remove a tooth at the beginning of my brace journey and it was at this stage I wondered what on earth I was doing . There I was believe it or not around halloween , a missing tooth, top braces in place and bottom braces which helped to cover the missing tooth … a little ! I have NEVER looked back. David kept a close eye on my teeth through the time I wore braces and Linda, the hygienist , helped me to keep them clean. Once my braces were removed , time was given to allow my teeth to settle and get used to retainers. I discussed teeth whitening with David and I have spent the last 6 weeks gently whitening my teeth just a little. I didn’t want a look that was too white for my smile and complexion and David listened and agreed. I had 4 appointments in the 6 weeks for my whitening as David monitored this every step of the way. Today I walked out of my appointment with a naturally big smile. I am staying in their care at Staina House. I am now 61 and a half and for the first time in my life have teeth I am proud of. I know that in a world where we can pay for quick fixes or pay little for what we might think are quick fixes ! I am glad I thought long and hard about the journey I was on as it was a long process. I believe it has been worth everything . Patience really has been a virtue with this. Thank you so much. Debbie

Today I went to Staina House for my first check up since the Covid 19 lockdown had been eased and I could not be more impressed. The practises that have been introduced by all the staff and the standard of cleanness and care taken to make sure that everyone stays safe and well is excellent. They have done a marvellous job. I have received absolutely excellent care from David, Joanne and the rest of the Staina House team over the past couple of months. David fit me in the next day for an urgent appointment as a new patient, as I had a painful tooth but hadn't got round to registering after moving to Garstang. I had root canal treatment, under local anaesthetic, which really was absolutely fine (I nearly had a nap in the chair!) - don't let anyone tell you otherwise! After a few weeks to let things settle down, I had a temporary then permanent crown fitted, which you can barely notice as it's so well blended with my own teeth. All of this was done with my work commitments and scuba diving holidays in mind - I didn't miss any trips due to David and Joanne's hard work and planning - thank you so much!

Having suffered all my life with bad dentists, I have never felt confident with going to see one again. This started when I was 15 years old, and I wanted to keep my beautiful straight white teeth. However, in those days, the NHS dentists soon worked out that they could make a lot of money from our age group, as it was free to all under the age of 18. So instead of keeping my beautiful teeth, every 6 months I went, and was subjected to a minimum of four fillings, To the point when there was nothing left they could fill. Today I have had my first treatment for 6 years. Since bad work was done yet again 6 years ago. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.... as I now know I have found my forever dentist. David is an amazing dentist, who actually does care about his patients. All my fears have gone, and I will trust this man with my teeth forever..... this man is worth every penny spent, a professional gentleman,. If you are like me, and have had similar experiences.... I recommend David to you, and I just hope that you are as happy as I am with the outcome.

In 2 and a half hours he painlessly turned my ugly old teeth into a natural beautiful smile . without crowns or dentures. I was nervous and apprehensive at the start but now looking back wonder why; I certainly didn't need to have been. After years of suffering dental pain I came to see David and he really put me at ease and has done a great job in sorting things out. The dentures I now have fit really well and when I smile it’s impossible to tell which teeth are real and which are false!! Fillings and Crowns. Recently finished a course fo 2 fillings and 2 crowns. Whilst not cheap I must say the service and professionalism is first class. You are always made welcome at W & W initially by the always smiling and efficient receptionists. The practice is always neat and tidy. My dentist, David, always explains what is happening and why and the experise is second to none. They have excellant assistants and you are always aware you are in safe hands. The Hygienists and staff are also very professional and knowledgeable in explaining how important to take care of your teeth and gums. Teeth are an important factor in our health and we must try and take care of them as much as possible. I know I made the right choice.
