s. m.I was lucky to get an emergency appointment . Had a very bad tooth ache and no dentist was taking new patients. The staff are so lovely and pros on what they do. I had to have a tooth removed, the procedure was pain free and the Dentist was so reassuring through the whole process. . The whole experience was quick and smooth and now registered with them. It is great surgery.

A.By far the best dentist I have ever visited.
Lets get one thing straight, I’m afraid of dentists and oral surgeons, however Dr Sunil had made my wisdom tooth extraction the most pleasurable experience I’ve come across. I was in so much pain and Dr Sunil was able to allocated me a time to do the operation within the same day. Besides that, whilst in theatre he would constantly make you laugh, encourage and support you throughout the operations.
Very quick and very high quality!

S. R.I was referred to Shinfield dental practise for an emergency extraction of an infected tooth. Not a nice thing to have to go through but I had the most pleasant experience I could have hoped for. The practise is spotless and the staff welcoming, the dentist I saw was amazing. I explained I hadn't been able to register with an N.H.S dentist and he not only extracted the offending tooth, but fixed a broken tooth I had while I was in the chair. Both are very kind, friendly, none of the usual arrogance I have experienced with so many dentists in the past, and they also do a great job. Excellent service and I'm very happy with it.

C. V.I had to attend as an emergency appointment using the 111 service two weeks ago due to a hole in my tooth and an exposed nerve. Dentist encouraged me to think about whether to have it extracted there and then or wait to try and save it, potentially losing my business to another practise, something I've never known from a dentist before.
Found myself back there tonight to have it removed (due to unseen circumstances) and I don't think I have ever been treated as well as tonight. Had my tooth extracted (among one or two other issues) and came away feeling that I had been well looked after.

'.Had an upper molar removed here, the injection was uncomfortable, but necessary as he managed to inject very close to the nerve, which was perfect as didn't feel a thing as he removed the tooth. Excellent.dentist. although be aware a removed molar is very paidful for 24hrs after removal and once the injection wears off, you will need co-codamol. Pain last for 7-10 days but is manageable after 24hrs on ibuprofen.

Dr. Sunil Kaura has been my dentist since 2014. There is not anything that can be done to one's teeth he has not done to mine from cleaning, to 12 implants, gum surgery, crowns, you name it.
He is consistently polite, patient, understanding and as caring as possible. He faithfully checks up on his patients following surgery or serious treatments.
I now live in America, I have been treated by three other dentists since arriving. All, when examining my extensive dental work, have positively commented on the expertise of care which was given me by Dr Kaura.

H. S.My tooth pain started just before christmas where I had extreme pain around the wisdom tooth area. I struggled to find any dentist in the whole of Bracknell, that would want to see me under the NHS, all of them were quoting extremly inflated prices for an intial consultation (literally the last thing needed during these tough times).
Calling 111 helpline they advised me to visit this dental practice and I'm so grateful they did! The moment I had an intial conversation with Dr Sunil Kaura about my pain he not only listended but explained in detail how we should tackle the problem. On New Years day he sent me for an X-ray and explained in detail the issue once he had analysed the X-ray. On the same day in the evening he extracted my tooth causing the pain! I have seen many dentists in the past but hands down Dr Sunil Kaura is the best of the lot. Very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. I will only be going to this practice going forward, thanks Dr Sunil Kaura!

D. L.Called 8 dentists in Reading and all refused to see me, then I was suggested this dentist by the last dentist I called. I gave him a call and was seen the next morning. I had an infected tooth and the pain was beyond bearable. I was put on a course of antibiotics and he managed to sort me out a tooth of one that was missing. The offices are not fancy, but don't take that away from the dentist and his assistant who were friendly, advisable and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing dental work done.

V. M.I had tooth pain, next to the wisdom teeth, I tried to call dentistry where I registered with dentist and they denied to take appointment for me. Then I called 111 and they given this dentist information. I called and luckily receptionist taken my details and mentioned doctor will give you a ring, it's really good response and sign. On the same day, within few hours doctor called me and asked me to come down to the hospital for the check up. Dr Sunil checked me and taken X rays and found the issue where it was. He also booked me on the next day for the tooth extraction, and also given few options. He is very polite, knowledgeable and helpful for me. On the next day, tooth was extracted and he advised what to do and care for my tooth. Once tooth extracted, bleeding was for long and was not stopped so he called me back to check; however all sorted. Just wanted to mention Dr Sunil is really good doctor, very prompt to respond and provide help what needed, as I was new patient and he did incredible help to me. Much appreciated Dr Sunil

D. G.I am a terrible patient and all my experiences with Dentists have been awful but with severe pain from a big tooth rotted to the gum and an abcess and not sleeping for a week i had to go. Shouldnt of worries at all, yes the injection hurt but short lived, and he removed the tooth in seconds. No cutting of gums which i was expecting. First time a dentist has ever said sorry for the pain of the injection and he reassured me constantly. Wish i had looked after my teeth now but would not hesitate to go back in the future. I need a lot of work done and if i can ever get on their NHS list i will be booking in to get it done.

R. C.Well I must admit I was very nervous. I had not been to a dentist for over 10 years. I was in excruciating pain and got an emergency appointment after talking to 111. I am glad I was sent there, I was reassured straight away, we even had a laugh which I didn’t think would be part of the experience. My options were explained with benefits and disadvantages clearly lead down. This surgery is not the nearest from where I live but this is where I will be going from now on.

I had unfortunately managed to knock out half of my tooth playing sport, they tried to reattach the broken part (they were not hopeful, but wanted to give it a try). unfortunately this was not possible due to too much blood and the way the tooth had broken. Went home with prescription and offer of second opinion after I visit my dentist should I want it.

Upon arrival, I did not have to wait and I received a very correct treatment and consultation. The facility is simple, but it was clean and tidy. j. d.Been seeing mr Ranu for various dental treatments since i moved into the area in 2007. Was also able to go there for emergency treatments years before. I've always found him excellent. Usually sees me at short notice and takes care of the job. In my opinion listen to the accolades praising him, not the negative damners.

If you don't like being told you aren't looking after your teeth you will probably have a problem with him. Old school is the best.
K. L.I Saw Mr Ranu and had a temporary filling, i was in a considerable amount of pain. I'm not a fan of dentists due to many bad experiences. Mr Ranu was amazing, i felt no pain at all, not even from having the injections.

I see people complaining the surgery is dirty etc, it's not dirty!! It's just not modern. If you're looking for modern then go private and stop winging.
Mr ranu is not one for chit chat, he gets the job done and he's good.
I absolutely refuse to see any other dentist, to find one like him is rare. And the prices are brilliant! He doesn't screw you over like all the rest. He genuinely cares about YOU not money.

J. M.I called Mr Ranu at 8 o'clock at night, in absolute agony. He saw me 20 mims later and had the job done within ten mins. For everyone saying he is the butcher it's simply not true. He gets the job done without having to wait in more pain. No other dentist I k ow of would see someone on such short notice especially who isn't a registered patient with his practice. I would definitely use him again and recommend to anyone in pain. Thank you Mr Ranu.

I see some other reviews that I simply cannot agree with, those that say that this surgery is dirty and that Mr Ranu is rude etc. This is simply not true!
Ok, there is no fancy flat screen TV on the wall, no sumptuous sofa to sit on, no vending machine etc. But this surgery is hygienic, functional and conveniently positioned.
As for Mr Ranu, I believe that this gentlemans background and nature is what these few negative reviewers must be referring too. He is not rude, not arrogant and most certainly not unkind in any way.
Yes, he is direct, gets on with the job in hand, gives short to the point instruction. But for me, how refreshing to have found a dentist that will get the job done in next to no time, I had a consultation, injection, ex ray and my treatment, forms filled in, prescription written and exited the building all within 30 minutes!
It's simple, if you want luxurious trappings, lengthy conversation and massive bills, then you should go else where, on the other hand, if you want rid of your pain, without wasting too much time, effort and money, then do please go and see Mr Ranu!
If, God forbid, I get hit with any further dental pains, I am off to see Mr Ranu for sure!

I am a very nervous patient and went to him 3 weeks ago with a broken tooth that had developed an abscess
I was crying in fear just whilst he took an X ray but he calmed me and didn't poke around around unnecessarily
Today the surgery rang to say that although they'd referred me to the hospital for extraction the hospital had said no I'd need the sedation clinic
I know what I'm like and wouldn't have gone so I went to see Sunil Kaura- who agreed to take my tooth out there and then
I can honestly say that it was a completely pain free experience
He really put me at ease- first time ever I felt like he cared
.I really can't recommend him enough
