Amazing dental surgery. Dr Kendal is such a nice chap and he certainly has all the latest equipment. I have never had such a good examination, step-by-step everything is clearly explained. I know exactly what problems I have, what the plan is, and I am really excited to work with Ian and his team.

Literally not enough stars for this place! They are incredibly friendly and caring. They did everything for me to get me seen asap when I called up saying I needed a route canal and currently have an infection that my previous dentist couldn't clear up. Raquel and Jess were amazing with me, kept me calm, took their time, let me know it's ok if I need a break, explained what was happening and reminded me to concentrate on my breathing when my anxiety illness shows up. Jade on reception always greets with a smile & bubbly attitude which instantly has a calming effect! I no longer dread the dentist thanks to these superstars!

I can not express how impressed I am with this dentist! I had previously had a really bad experience with a dentist which has left me feeling quite worried about seeing another dentist! Before I made the appointment, I had previously booked and cancelled with 5 other dentists. Jade was the difference with this dentist, after my phone call with Jade I felt at ease and was reassured and felt comfortable. After my visit I am even more impressed Dr Kendall is amazing and Jessica was also caring, knowledgable and relatable - I can not thank them all enough - but I have to say massive Kudos to Jade her personable way and welcoming nature is a massive attraction to this place and is the difference to a concerned patient turning up to their appointment or not - so thank you 😊

Dr. Kendal is by far the best dentist I’ve ever had. He is extremely calm and reassuring during appointments, easy to talk to, and he explains what he’s doing every step of the way. Receptionists very friendly and kind, hands gel available right on the entry and they all wore face masks. The hygienist was very professional, she took my temperature and explained to me what she was going to do, making sure to let me feel comfortable all the way through my polish. Are not the cheapest in town but with a private insurance the cost is almost all covered!

Came into the practice with my husband last week and was blown away! I’m not a great lover of the dentist but was made to feel so welcome by Cassie and her team. I visited the Dental Practice with my wife as new patients having recently moved to Southampton. I had phoned around other practices in the area but chose Dentistry at Oceania Boulevard, firstly due to how lovely and helpful the receptionist was when I had enquired about being treated. The practice is beautiful and easy to find. My wife isn’t keen on visiting the dentist however she was put at ease straight away when we were checked in by Cassie. Cassie was extremely welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and we were offered complimentary coffee. We were seen in an amazing surgery where the Dentist and his nurse were friendly, professional and extremely thorough. After our check ups we were again seen by Cassie and discussed further treatments. Cassie again was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. A massive thank you to Cassie who is the Practice Manager and her team for an amazing experience. My wife and I could not have asked for more and would recommend to anybody who is looking for a dentist or is currently unhappy with theirs.

My experience with Dentistry@Oceana Boulevard has, without exception, always been first class. I am somebody who needs fairly regular dental attention. Over the years I've been registered with many dentists, private and NHS, and none of these have come close to the level of care and attention I experience with Ian and his team. Ian is genuinely kind and caring, he explains things articulately without too much jargon (unless you want jargon), and I always feel that I have plenty of time in the chair to make sure I'm as relaxed as possible before treatment begins. Saying that, I have never been kept waiting to be seen for my appointment so the management of clinic timing is excellent and the balance is just right. During treatment I am always 100% confident in Ian's clinical skills and, despite having had several root canal treatments, I experience less pain with Ian than with any other dentist I've been treated by (which I'm incredibly pleased about) but, if I do develop a painful toothache or abscess, for example, Ian and his team are willing to do whatever is required to get me out of pain as quickly as possible. The practice is nicely designed and comfortable with a TV and internet connected laptop in the waiting area. The treatment chair has a TV above it on the ceiling which is useful for occupying my mind during some of the longer treatments I've had and the treatment rooms generally have a sense of "State-of-the-art" about them. There is also plenty of parking nearby. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful and the follow up care, after treatment, is also excellent! I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I actually look forward to my dental visits nowadays (how many people can say that!?), which is testament to such a brilliant all-round dental practice/team. I believe Dentistry@Oceana Boulevard is unmatched for all-round excellence and recommend them without reservation.

I came here for the enlighten teeth whitening. When I first arrived the staff were really welcoming and happily answered all of my questions about the treatment. The whitening process happened really swiftly and promptly and there were always available appointments at various times to fit in around work. I could definitely see a difference after a couple of appointments with the hygienist and after the whitening process which takes place at home I was so happy with the results! I was initially worried about teeth whitening but I did not experience any discomfort or sensitivity during the whole process and if I did, I knew that it would’ve been okay to pop in and say! It is a really relaxed environment and atmosphere and I would definitely recommend the enlighten teeth whitening - not only have I noticed a difference but so have so many other people as well! I would definitely return here if I wanted any further treatment to my teeth!

These guys are amazing! Their clinic is top and they are all really really friendly. I find it really cool that the doctor actually cares explaining to you what is it that he is doing and nicely discusses and explains any teeth issues with you and asks whether you agree with the suggested treatment or not. I had a great experience here! I am not great with dentists as the last two I have had were not brilliant experiences. So to come to a dentist who took time and care with me and eased all my concerns that I have had before. They gave me a treatment plan and gave me different payment options. The dentistry inside is lovely and modern and also the plus is that they have a TV on the ceiling so it takes your mind off the treatment. Dr kendal is without a doubt the best dentist I have ever seen, absolutly no pain when performing a tooth extraction. His assistant was also brilliant. The staff are super nice & helpful, Ian the dentist is so patient and gentle. My root canal was painless & I also had some custom veneers on my canine teeth done to look like fangs and they are perfect. Nearly 2 years ago, I had a problem to do with a previous NHS dentist. I contacted the dentist I was using at the time as I was in a lot of pain and was told no dentist were available as they were on holiday. NHS direct were contacted and advised me that they have to provide cover. It turned out that their sister practice were the ones that I left due to the appalling work they had carried out in the past, so I refused to go to them. This left me in the position of being in pain with no decent dentist to help me. I decided that I could no longer cope with bad dentists, so the only thing to do was find a private one. I did some research (cost was also a factor as I was also budgeting for a wedding!). I came across Dentistry@oceana boulevard. Looked at the the price list, thought this is reasonable, let's give them a try. I called them, they fitted me in. This was one of the best calls I could have made. Dr Ian and all of the team are professional, caring, friendly and they actually listen to you. My problem got fixed to a very high standard. I enjoy my visits and it's great to know that I have finally found a great dental practice. Thank you to the team, in my opinion, you are definitely the best dentist in Southampton!

I work here as a dental hygienist and I always look forward to coming to work! Having worked in several practices before, I was immediately struck by how cleanand modern this practice is. We have up-to-date equipment which allows both Ian, the dentist, and myself to carry out our treatment to the very best of our ability while ensuring it is as comfortable as possible for the patients. As a hygienist, everytime I see a patient, I carry out full oral cancer screening before beginning any treatment. Ian and I work together and will often discuss patients needs and x-rays before treatment if this is necessary to offer the best care. Every single person that works here is very friendly and always up for a chat amongst ourselves and with patients I have recently had some treatment done by Ian myself - two veneers on my upper teeth because I had been unhappy with the position of them for quite some time. Even though I work in the dental field, I still get very nervous while having treatment, especially having my teeth numbed! Ian and Mandy, his nurse, kept me very calm throughout the procedure (the TV on the ceiling was also a welcome distraction!) and I am extremely pleased with the result.

I have not been lucky with dentists. In the past I have been subjected to a great deal of bad NHS dentistry and my teeth have suffered greatly as a result. A few years ago I visited a dentist in the US and when he took as look at my mouth he laughed out loud and called in his colleagues to show them how awful dentistry is in the UK. That was not a great experience. About a year ago I had a mouth full of ill fitting crowns and veneers and was suffering from periodic abscesses and toothache. I knew that something had to be done but was apprehensive about looking for yet another dentist, perhaps choosing another bad one. It’s not always obvious at the time. One dentist, now prevented from practicing, seemed to do a good job at the time and he was very pleasant and friendly. Like I said, he is now unable to practice and it was his work that caused so much mirth in the US. Knowing that a great deal of work was required and that it was going to be expensive I met with a number of local dentists to discuss my requirements. Most were dismissive and seemed a little put-out that I should want to discuss my care rather than let them dictate it to me. Eventually I came across Ian Kendal at Oceana Boulevard. Ian is different, he really is. He is passionate about the work he does and he genuinely cares about getting it absolutely right. He is regularly on training courses and investing in new equipment and it has become clear to me that he does this because he genuinely wants to be the best dentist he can be. I have now had a great deal of work by Ian and I still have more to come. From the outset Ian has worked in partnership with me to address all of the problems of the past. He has always ensured that despite work being in progress that I am always presentable to the outside world so that I need not be conscious of my teeth. Over the last year I have come to respect Ian and his team. Oceana Boulevard is a very professional practice with a heart. As well as offering great dentistry I have found them to be flexible, accommodating and understanding. Perhaps of most importance to anyone looking for a dentist is how it feels to be in the chair. I used to grip hard onto the sides of a dentist chair and do my very best to keep calm. That’s all gone. Ian has a video screen mounted on the ceiling and when I am unable to talk with him I just relax and watch the TV while he does what he needs to. He keeps me informed about what is being done, is very gentle and makes sure that I am never in any discomfort or pain. To say that I now enjoy a trip to the dentist might be something of an overstatement but I am getting there. I am really pleased that I found Ian and I am really pleased with the work he has done to date. I was in the US again recently and one of my old legacy veneers came off leaving me in need of an emergency dentist. When I found one I sat in the chair and expected the usual ridicule of UK dentistry. But instead, to my delight, after an X-ray was taken the dentist asked me who did the root canals because they were of an exceptionally high quality. That for me confirmed that I am now in good hands and that I have finally found a really good dentist. I have learnt that dentistry doesn’t have to be painful, that not all dentists are bad and that some like Ian can even be great. Also worthy of note was that I was also a little surprised by how rough the US dentist was with me. I have become used to Ian treating me very gently and had forgotten that it is not always like this. If you are looking for a high quality, professional and gentle dentist then I strongly recommend that you give Oceana Boulevard Dentistry a call. I did and I am very pleased that I did so. In my experience not many dentists even come close to being this good.

Had a problem with my wisdom tooth for months and fed up with poor dental care for many years I decided to find a new dentist. A few clicks of a mouse I came across dentistry@ocean boulevard, from the moment i arrived for my appointment friendly staff looked after me, took me into state of the art dental lab where Ian listened to my dental problems and gave me all the options in a professional and friendly manner, two days later he removed a wisdom tooth without any pain. the aftercare was faultless.
