This is a great place to go take care of your teeth. The team are very professional, examining and providing me with best options and a variety of solutions by priority. I couldn't be more thrilled with my smile make over. From start to finish the entire staff at the practice were incredibly helpful and supportive. I had two consultations with Jeff, which really helped to determine exactly what I wanted to achieve. Though the actual make over day is long, everyone is so lovely that it doesn't feel too bad. It isn't actually as uncomfortable or painful as you might think and you even get lunch! The final result is better than I could ever have expected, I have shiny white teeth and look like I should be on Selling Sunset! Jeff and the nurser (who was amazing) both stayed late to ensure the result was perfect. I am so happy with my new teeth, Jeff is a true master of what he does. Honestly if you are considering a smile make over you cannot go wrong at The Dental Group, it will be the best money you have ever spent.

After having dental concerns during lockdown, and with dentistry services in high demand and long waiting times, I decided it was time to try a private dentist. After doing a bit of research online, I got in touch with The Dental Group and signed up as a patient. No regrets; getting seen quickly and having problems dealt with very swiftly is well worth the cost for the peace of mind of having had my dental issues fixed and also knowing I won't be waiting a long time for treatment if I have problems in the future. The pracitice is a pleasant place and the team are polite, friendly and efficient. Definitely worth consideration if you are looking for a new dentist.

I wasn’t registered with this Dentist. I had an unexpected issue with my tooth a week before I went to America. Turned out I needed a crown. They shuffled things around for me and got it all sorted out for me. 5 star service - thank you.

I found the Dental Group through a recommendation of a close friend of mine after my own dentist was not able to see me due to Covid affecting their business. I called and spoke to the manager there (Giselle) and she was extremely helpful and understanding. I had called many different Dentists in my area but no one would or could see me. I had a filling that had failed and it was quite urgent. She managed to get me in for an appointment very quickly. The dental practice are very strict on their COVID hygiene rules and this also put me at ease as being in that proximity I felt that many people had become a bit too relaxed about it The staff were all really lovely and friendly and professional too. I had my consultation and cleaning and then filling and it was done really well despite it being in the back of the back top tooth. I was actually so happy with the work i had done that, despite the long distance to get there from my home (an hour and a half) I decided to get my veneers done on my front top teeth. I already had veneers but two were broken. Jeff is a fantastic dentist and you feel calm in his space. He really knows what he is doing and you can tell! He did an amazing job on my teeth. The veneers look amazing. I also did my teeth whitening with them before hand which worked well and the Nurse I saw was very helpful. Overall I’d 100 per cent recommend going to the Dental Group in Southampton. Great work, great dentists, great staff, clean and really friendly. The costs were reasonable and they have really good dental plans you can and should sign up for. I did and it helped a lot. thanks again to all there and also thanks to Giselle, the Manageress. She was extremely helpful getting me fitted in and organising my appointments as I know I was a little tricky having to come from Dorchester and timing. Anyways, thanks to all. I went to The Dental Group for a wisdom tooth extraction around 2-3 years ago rather than waiting for my NHS appointment. Jeff made me so comfortable during not a fun procedure, that I then had my braces done with him shortly after. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I had a broken tooth and The Dental Group were fantastic. They managed to get me an appointment quickly so I wouldn't be in pain. I arrived to a friendly, very clean surgery reception with all Covid19 precautions in place. I had my temperature taken and the waiting room was very carefully laid out so people didn't mix. The dentist was fab, totally cleaned the room before I entered. Very high level of PPE with gowns gloves high filtration face masks and face screens. I felt very safe and totally confident in their hygiene precautions. The filling was relatively pain free and done very quickly. The dentist was helpful and very professional. I would totally recommend them to anyone who needs dental treatments or cosmetic dentistry. Although I was getting a filling I have previously had my veneers done by Jeff at the practice and they are as perfect now as they were 13 years ago when they were first done. Jeff is a total dental genius, an artist with teeth. The whole practice is top notch.

I joined The Dental Group just over a year ago now. During that time I've experienced almost every area of the dentistry, and it's all been to an excellent standard! I always receive an extremely warm welcome and efficient service when speaking with Giselle, Bella or Maria at reception. I've had my teeth cleaned thoroughly by the hygienist! I've received a new crown from Jeff and his dental nurse Lillia, where the expert level of care and attention I received was exceptional. Just a new client but overwhelmed with The Dental Group service!! Such a wonderful staffs-Jeff, Carol, especially Annabelle, Maria and Gisele. I was anxious before everytime that I need to see a dentist but this clinic is different, they're accomodating, very helpful with all my silly questions on what should I do and the procedures that I want to have, they give lots of extra info. and no hassle as well. I had veneers on my front teeth and had whitening as well. I didn't imagined that I can have a beautiful smile again!!! No pain at all during the procedure!! They even give me a free new impressions after I had my veneers for my whitening kit as my old impressions can't fit in anymore!! This is an unbiased and honest review of my experience with the Dental Group Portswood. If I could give ten stars ********** I certainly would..... I have been a patient of Jeff O’Carroll at the Dental Group for almost 20 years. Before this time I was extremely nervous due to a poor experience at at a surgery previously and as a child never relishing a visit to the dentist. I cannot express enough how Jeff has been the best and finest dentist I have ever come across. Himself, Giselle O’Carroll and his incredible staff always make me feel most welcome and safe from the moment I step foot through the door. As for the dentistry I believe he is second to none, from a ‘clean and polish,’ general repairs and right up to a ‘smile makeover’ he ALWAYS makes me comfortable and I trust him explicitly. To this end I often hid my smile as I was not confident about the look of my teeth. The transformation with the ‘makeover’ quite frankly changed my life - for my well-being and my self esteem it has done wonders. Excellent service - and I havent finished my treatment yet!!!! I have never been nervous going to a dentist until I recently had tooth pain that lasted for five weeks. The NHS dentist I was seeing left my current practice and the new one didnt make me feel confident at all. I needed root canal treatment and they suggested I find a private specialist to do the work. I did some research and this practice stood out with very good reviews. So I made an appointment and had a consultation.. I could not be happier with that decision. From the very first phone call the reception and dental staff at the practice were pleasant, understanding and very knowledgable. I have now undergone the first and second stages of my RCT and I am looking forward to going back to complete the work. I am even considering leaving my nhs dentist and staying with this practice to undergo all my future dental care and checkups. 100% recommended. My confidence has been restored thanks to the wonderful service I have recieved here.

Been going to the Dental Group for many years now and I have no complaints. I broke a tooth during the 2nd lockdown which needed a temporary filling and then a crown. Managed to get the broken tooth fixed promptly (broke it Sunday - fixed Monday). I'm not normally too worried about the dentist, but was slightly more anxious than normal about the crown because of COVID. The dentist and nurse both made me feel at ease and were very patient with me - in fact we even had a bit of a laugh. They did what needed to be done to get me fixed even it meant a late Friday. So 5/5 from me (but I dread to think what they would score me ;)).

I really can’t recommend this dental practice enough, I recently had veneers done here and the service I received was superb from start to finish. The whole team are amazing, Jeff made me feel so relaxed. My teeth have given me so much more confidence. Thank you to everyone at The Dental Group xx

Went here to have an emergency tooth extraction on one of my wisdom teeth and cannot fault the amazing service. As someone who is deathly scared of injections and the dentist, I felt immediately calmed and reassured and its the first time in my life that I've let someone put a needle in my mouth without bolting out of the door! They made me feel very at ease, and were so kind to me despite me being the biggest wuss ever and crying the entire time. Great aftercare and the team were great at answering all my questions. I have been a client of The Dental Group for more years than I care to think about! I have always found them to be courteous, helpful and professional in everything they do. I have read some of the negative comments on here (there are very few) and I can honestly say that I am surprised! Jeff O'Carroll is an extremely experienced dentist who is an absolute perfectionist (he will tell you what you may not want to hear but if it is the truth then so be it) when it comes to dentistry, be it cosmetic or maintenance - which is exactly what you want - is it not? I have never had cause to complain and, if I did, I know my complaint would be dealt with in a professional way! Their smile makeovers are amazing! Take a look at the results - they speak for themselves! I was possibly one of their first mini-smile makeovers and I have never regretted one penny spent!
