Every visit to this clinic has been a pleasure, not something one would normally hear about the dentists, but I wanted to share my experience at Skin and Smiles, I almost look forward to the next visit. I took advantage of a first free consultation in which my options were outlined, and led onto several others for investigation, 3D scanning, Xrays, and discussions about what I wanted to achieve. Dr Murgai is honest in what can be achieved, is most detailed in his explanations of treatment and costs. His range of high-tech equipment is outstanding and it complements his professional skill and personable manner, along with his in-depth knowledge and consummate expertise has ensured each visit has been most beneficial. He explained each step of the process and allowed me several options with a full financial breakdown of costs and the honest expectation of the desired outcome. There was no pressure to chose the any particular options, the possibilities of what could be achieved and at what price was my choice and I’m so very pleased with the work. The team at this clinic are pleasant, professional and most importantly are friendly yet efficient; nothing is too much trouble. I always feel confident in their capacity to put me at my ease. The practice manager phones a couple of days after major works to enquire how I feel and I know that if there was a problem, their 24-hour support line is there if needed. I know they would accommodate me at very short notice, later the same day if needed. The team which surrounds Dr Murgai are wonderful, his practice manager, his dental nurses, his hygienist, and his laboratory technicians are superb and experts in their particular dental field. My teeth/gums have deteriorated over the years and whilst I’ve had treatment by other dentists over the years, it was time to seriously assess my long-term prospects. Dr Murgai took a holistic approach of my mouth, and we discussed the options available. This was reassuring and I didn’t feel as though I was just another customer. The different costs of alternative treatments were thoroughly explained in a treatment plan and I was given the choice of which of the packages I wanted. I’ve felt safe and reassured in every way since my first free consultation to my very soon to be completed transformation. I had contemplated going abroad for implants as the cost was less, I can emphatically state that having a local professional expert clinic was been the best option for me. I am so pleased I chose Skin and Smiles for my work; it’s been worth the investment. They are dedicated professionals and worthy of my utmost praise and recommendation.

I went to skin and smiles as I had previously been unhappy with 2 other dentists and I was aware that I could be in danger of losing another tooth. I wanted one place to go to get everything sorted and not to have to look for a specialist for crowns, implants etc Very professional service and I was immediately made to feel at ease and I knew I had made the right choice I had to have a crown on a tooth that was cracked and this was all sorted within the same appointment, very impressive I also needed an implant and whilst this took several months from start to finish, I knew I was in good hands. I had a little discomfort which dissipated after a few days I am so pleased with how my teeth look and would definitely recommend them

Just a few words to say thanks to Dr Murgai and all the team at Skin and Smiles post my treatment for a dental implant. Firstly I would like to echo the reviews from those who have reservations regarding dental treatment. As someone who is anxious with dental care I can say that my treatment was first class. I was completely put at ease by their care, communication and professionalism. In my case the treatment was complex, including an extraction, yet was carried out without causing me any discomfort or worry and I am extremely pleased with the quality of the work Dr Murgai has undertaken. Their surgery is modern and well equipped while the interior is well lit and comfortable. It really does put you at ease from the start. It is also within easy walking distance of Watford tube station. I thoroughly recommend this practice and would have no hesitation in returning in future should I require similar treatment.

I’m going to start this review with a MASSIVE thank you to Gulshan and the team. Since the age of 6 I had lost my tooth which had caused me to be self-conscious, and my confidence over the years has been so low with every treatment I had under the NHS from root canal to having temporary bridges etc, it’s been one hell of a journey. After paying hundreds of pounds on consultations, and being told by several previous “professionals” that nothing could be done for me as an implant would be flat out impossible to achieve due to the lack of bone, I then found Skin and Smiles online after reading their reviews and booked an appointment with them. Gulshan guided me carefully on all the options that were available to me, which over the years I’ve never received such detailed and honest advice. My ultimate goal was to go down the implant route because it’s what I wanted and Gulshan promised he would do the best he can. Unfortunately, my circumstances was rather strange as the implant had failed due to Gulshan finding a tooth fragment during the procedure which caused many complications. But Gulshan and the team did not give up, and reassured me that everything will be okay. Now 15 months later, I have finally got an implant! I cannot stop smiling right now and I’m ever so thankful and grateful that the “impossible” was achieved. They didn’t give up on me and didn’t just give me an “it will do” or “this is the best we can do” result (as I’ve been told by individuals in the past when giving me just bridges). The result Gulshan and the team have given me is PERFECT! I couldn’t be more impressed with the result I’ve been given and I want to thank you all again for looking after me! I wouldn’t go anywhere else for any future treatments and highly recommend them to anyone who needs treatments. THANK YOU ALL!

I have been a Client of Skin and Smiles since 2013. I have always been extremely nervous of Dentists and had some very bad experiences and hence did not look after my teeth very well. Thank goodness I found Gulshan and his team!!!!! I honestly cannot praise this Practice enough. Right from the offset Gulshan put me at ease and explained complicated procedures in a way I could understand. All of the staff are cheerful and courteous and they all make you feel so welcome. Yes , like many others I could have gone abroad and had treatment however in my opinion you don’t dont get a Champagne Service for Lemonade money and the care and skills that Skin and Smiles provide is definitely 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. From the minute you walk through the door and relax in the calming reception area before going up to the state of the art surgery , you just know that you are not only in good hands but that you are going to walk out with the most beautiful smile that you always craved. Highly, highly recommend Gulshan and the team and I cannot thank them enough for giving me my smile back 😁

I first came across this practice when my wife needed an implant plus other work and we visited Gulshan and his team for a second opinion. My initial scepticism was quickly dashed as Gulshan carefully talked through the options available explaining not only to my wife, but also to me, exactly what would be involved with the proposed treatment plan. We decided to go with Gulshan's proposals and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we have ever made. Everything went to plan and when I had a dental problem myself Skin & Smiles was my first port of call. A few appointments and an implant later left me as good as new. I have been continually impressed with the shear professionalism of the whole team and there is nowhere else that either my wife or I would consider going for any of our dental work. I recently had treatment at Skin and Smiles for crowns and implants. I was very nervous and apprehensive before my initial appointment/assessment. I needn't have worried! Dr Gushan Murgai and his team were incredibly reassuring and welcoming. They put me at ease and Gulshan explained the options available clearly, answered my questions patiently and listened to my concerns. The result is that I now have a smile to be proud of! Before, I would be conscious of the gaps in my mouth and would not smile or laugh naturally. Gulshan is truly a miracle worker! Apart from the cosmetic side of things, I can eat anything now and my dental health is the best it has been for years! I would also like to give a special mention to the practice manager Laura Moldovan who was (and is) always willing to reassure and go over anything I had forgotten to ask in the treatment room! She is a very important member of this fantastic team as the first contact in the surgery. I would thoroughly recommend the Skin and Smiles team for their professionalism, caring, hard work and humour! The premises are high tech and absolutely immaculate so I will be continuing my dental care with this clinic.

Gulshan and his team are foremost professional and secondly incredibly friendly. They helped me through a lot of remedial work and also some significant cosmetic work (implants) I chose to trust them at the outset of meeting them as I felt like they gave me clear and honest advice before and during the treatment. I wasn't wrong! They did their utmost to ensure that the scheduling of the treatment enabled good recovery and minimum impact to my professional life. Another key benefit is that everything is done in house so it can be considered full wraparound care which is rare to find. I would recommend them to anyone. So much so when my 11 yr old son knocked his tooth in half I insisted that only Gulshan should treat it. 5 Stars isnt quite enough. I Have always had problems with my teeth ( my own fault ) and have had survere tooth loss since age 18. At the start of this year I was told I would need all my teeth removed and full dentures fitted at the age of 38 and a cost of £50,000 ... luckily I was told to visit skin and smiles for a second opinion, thank god as it was the best decision I have ever made . I now have a full set of lovely white teeth ( partial dentures and many restored teeth) which look amazing and feel natural, for a quarter of the price. I couldn’t have imagined my smile would ever look this good and my mouth/ gums be this healthy. The care gulshan and his team gave was amazing, such a professional down to earth straight taking man. I will always come back here and urge anyone reading this to do the same. I Will always be great full to skin and smiles .

Gushan and his staff are amazing! My initial reason for choosing the Whippendale Dental Clinic for implant treatment was the huge number of 5-star reviews here on WhatClinic. My experience fully justified those reviews and now I add my own 5-star review to them. Dr Gulshan Murgai has proved to be an absolute star! Not only is he highly experienced, knowledgeable and thoroughly professional, he's also a really nice guy. His staff too are excellent and very friendly. Each time I had an appointment it almost felt as though I was visiting friends! Here are things that I particularly appreciated: The preliminary conversations we had to help me decide what approach would be best in my particular case. Very helpful information, all questions answered and guidance is given without any pressure whatsoever. As a result, the conclusion and decision I arrived at proved to be the right one. The successful procedures Dr Murgai undertook to provide me with a full set of implants and replacement teeth - that now look and feel great and work well. His obvious huge technical skill. The detailed explanations Dr Murgai gave me about everything that I asked - and I asked a lot because I'm into detail and knowing 'whys' and 'hows'. The exceptional care he took to get everything right - not just 'good enough' but the best possible outcome. If something needed adjusting he took the time and trouble to do that each time it arose. The state-of-the-art equipment and facilities in which Dr Murgai has invested to enable him to deliver the highest quality dental surgery. The fact that Dr Murgai has his own dental lab and skilled technicians on site so that everything is under his control and done to his high standards. So was the experience entirely pain-free? You wouldn't expect it to be in my case, with extensive surgery involved, but Dr Murgai did his best to effectively minimise the discomfort. No complaints but I really don't like injections! Still, Dr Murgai's skill meant that I really couldn't feel a whole lot while he was working on me. So would I recommend Dr Murgai and his clinic? Absolutely! I have complete confidence in him and he's my dentist from now on.

I had old crowns on the two centre upper teeth. One was becoming loose, subsequently found to be due to a cyst. The bone structure was not adequate to have replacement crowns. The only alternative was for a bridge of four teeth. This required some bone grafting where the old crowns were and two titanium implants on either side to support the bridge. I have a particularly high palate, which caused several problems in obtaining an accurate mouth impression. Overall the treatment took about eight months. Throughout the process, Dr. Murgai kept me fully informed at each stage and explained what was going to happen next. I am particularly pleased with the end result, which is aesthetically much better than before. Although the treatment was quite expensive, in view of the problems experienced, I cannot quibble with the value for money.

After searching for a while to find a decent dentist I found skin and smiles just by reading the reviews I knew I would be in safe hands ..and I was right , I had 4 very loose bottom teeth and I opted for implants , it was a very long journey for me as I started in February and only recently finished but it was well worth it, Dr Gulshan and all the staff were very professional and friendly from start to finish , and I will be continuing to use there service from now on , keep up the good work ... and thank you for all you done ..
