A. L.I have covid symptoms and my own GP was very rude and couldn't really be bothered it seemed, actually saying "and what do you want me to do about it?"
So i waited and an aggressive rash spread over my whole body so i phoned 999 who got out of hours to phone me. He was wonderful. He was kind, patient, friendly and got me sorted with antibiotics, painkillers and the number to get a test done locally. If i didnt get the drugs last night i think the agony wouldve been too much. My own gp just told me to stay home, sort it myself and kept grilling me about phoning 111, arguing that it was englands number and not NI, i felt like i was being scolded by a teacher. Thank god for the Mater team, i have cptsd too so the treatment from my gp brought up other issues i didnt need at that time.
