J. W.Contrary to some other reviews, my experience was excellent. Expected a long wait, but the staff on reception were cheery and helpful.
What actually happened was that I got seen within an hour and the service I received was superb - better than my own GP. Very helpful male practitioner provided me with extra info about my situation. Couldn't fault it.
H. O.I have had cause to visit the drop-in clinic three times, once with a friend and twice this year for myself. Each time the receptionist has been friendly and helpful (despite, as I have witnessed, having to handle difficult people) and the 'doctor' (usually I think a Senior Nurse Practitioner) has been wonderful - taking time, totally respectful, and very helpful. My friend was advised to take a taxi to A&E, which we did and she was admitted to hospital. I received a prescription on both visits. Sometimes the wait is long - up to two hours - but this is because of the number of people who call in, not the fault of the staff. I think we are extremely privileged to have such a facility here in Brighton where you can get urgent medical attention for minor problems over a bank holiday weekend without having to bother A&E. I can't praise them enough.
V. W.Really positive experience. Caring, thoughtful staff who took me seriously and gave me the help I needed. Initial wait was about an hour and a half on a weekend morning. I was also given an appointment with no wait time for follow up. Would highly recommend this service.
