Damian Clark performed a full right knee replacement for me 7 weeks ago, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. My old knee was giving me a great deal of pain and was unreliable when walking. My new knee is amazing and the scar is straight and neat and I’m sure in a few months it will almost be unnoticeable. On the day of my surgery at the Nuffield Bristol, Mr Clark kept me fully informed of the procedure, and I was given the choice of anestesia on the day. The after care at the hospital was excellent, all the staff were very helpful and gentle, I was very well cared for my entire stay. Mr Clark allowed me to go home on the third day with an excellent pain relief program, and a comprehensive set of exercises, which has allowed me to return to a normal life. Thank You 😊

I was fortunate to have my knee surgery undertaken by Mr. Damian Clark. My knee was useless prior surgery, with limited movement. The surgery, aftercare and advice was excellent (and a hardly visible scar) plus wonderful physio advice. My knee is now pain free I have an excellent bend and am functioning perfectly. I had partial knee replacements in both knees at the Nuffield Chesterfield hospital. Mr Clark conducted both operations and they were perfect in every way. He is such a courteous , helpful surgeon that it was almost a pleasurable experience! Recovery was speedy and carefully monitored. The scars are hardly visible!! I was well briefed throughout. I am very grateful for Mr Clark's care and skill, and I can now play three rounds of golf a week as a result. My knees were so painful before the operations that I could not easily walk. Exceptional skill and care from an exceptional surgeon in an exceptional hospital!!

I am very belatedly recommending Mr Damian Clark, who performed a partial knee replacement on my left leg last October. My operation had initially been postponed due to Covid restrictions, but Mr Clark kept me informed and I was given an appointment as soon as lockdowns allowed. The operation went really well and my new knee has become stronger daily. Plus, I have a very neat and barely noticeable scar! Fantastic. Damian is a great guy and a top class professional. I had a menisectomy with Damian in February 2021 and have recovered quickly and easily, much better than expected. Mr Clark recently performed a partial knee replacement operation on me at St Marys Nuffield Hospital in Bristol in November 2020. After eight weeks, my knee is now functioning completely normally and is totally pain-free. After some years of severe discomfort and, latterly, considerable restriction to my mobility this is a considerable relief. Life transformed... I have my knee back! I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Clark for his care and expertise, therefore. He is also very friendly and informative and this made the entire experience even more positive.

Was recommended to see Damien Clark following a knee injury playing hockey that left me struggling to walk. Mr Clark was brilliant throughout, talking me through the injury and treatment options, ensuring I understood it all. His manner is always very relaxed and friendly. Had the knee operation in September 2020 and less than 3 months later am able to walk without pain and play hockey again. Would certainly go back to Mr Clark if I ever need any further knee treatment. Highly recommended

Mr Damian Clark, was friendly, professional and caring, from day one. From the first consultation to the last, he was caring and friendly. Nice humour as well. He listened to what I had to say, as I listened to him. I had a torn Meniscus and ruptured ACL. But after talking to him, we decided that we would not do the ACL. The Meniscus had to be done though. Definitely the right choice. As I already have arthritis in my knee, there's a possibility later on I may need a knee replacement. Will deal with that, as an when. I was admitted to Bath Clinic on the 11th March 2021. I was looked after extremely well. I was kept informed of what was happening and when. I was discharged the following day. All in all, by all the professionals ,the care was 100%.

I can highly recommend Damian for knee surgery. In November 2018 I had ACL reconstruction & meniscus repair, from the first consultation with Damian I knew I was in good hands. He was extremely informative and made me feel comfortable. After having the surgery he came in to check on me and explain everything that had happened in surgery with great detail. Once I was out of hospital, 2 weeks later Damian continued to follow up with myself to see if everything was okay as I was healing. I have recently had my 9 months (fully healed) check up and I have healed absolutely fine with no problems during this time. Do not hesitate to book with Damian if you are considering knee surgery. Mr Clark is a fantastic specialist. I first sustained a knee injury playing sport, and over the years, my knee stability had gradually declined. Torn ACL and meniscus while playing basketball. Year and bit later I have to remind myself at times I had it all fixed by Dr Clark. From the 1st consultation he was clear and informative, disclosing all options with no pressure. He's done an amazing job and I could spend a week praising his work. I was able to run comfortably a year after the operation. His excellence is without a doubt but what's also amazing is his general manner and approach. On top of being extremely polite and good mannered, he made me feel safe and looked after. His positive attitude rubbs off very quickly and gives you the sense that you are in great hands. Dr Clark's assistant Ruth is always available and also a pleasure to deal with. I can't praise my experience enough. A heavy situation and operation seems just like a old memory now. If I could, I'd score Him 11 out of 10! Phenomenal!

I went to see Mr Clark at the Spire Hospital Bristol in April 2019 as I was experiencing debilitating pain in my left knee After my consultation with him it was decided that I would have an MRI scan which showed that my kneecap was in the wrong position and so it was decided that the best option would be for the kneecap would be moved along with the tendon, which would be plated & screwed into it's new position. Throughout the process Mr Clark explained every area of what the operation would entail - 4 weeks in a leg brace & 8 on crutches followed by physio. He was also very honest and said that the operation could still potentially leave me with some residual pain. I had the operation in August 2019. As it is his expertise has given back my life. I am pain free, am able to fully use my knee and am walking faster and longer than I had been able to do over the previous 3 years and all without a stick! Mr Clark is very reassuring, has a gentle manner and will answer any questions you may have. I would not hesitate to ensure that Mr Damian Clark was the Consultant I would always have to do any further knee surgery if needed in the future.

I had been having trouble with my knee for close to 10 years, sharp pain, giving way, dull pain through the night etc. This would prevent me from running/jogging of any significance or play sport without a knee support. I'm in my 30s so very frustrating. From the first consultation with Damian I knew I was in the right place. Very professional, clear and understanding. There was no hesitation to arrange an MRI and X-ray to determine the problem. I had a Meniscus tear which Damian operated on. On the day of the operation the care I received was outstanding. I was in and out within around 5 hours which was fantastic. 3 months on and after doing rehab and strength exercising I am now able to play football with no pain. I have confidence in my knee that I haven't had in a long time. I should have had this done years ago. I can't praise Damian and his team enough. I could not recommend Mr Clark highly enough. He carried out my partial knee replacement last Nov (2019) and three months later, I was snowboarding down reds in Slovakia (I would have done the black but the lift was shut 😄). I have 141 degree flexion and am happy to say I could now run for a bus (if I actually wanted to) and can walk down any gradient of hill forwards like other people do. When people see my scar, they all say, "Well the surgeon must have liked you"! All in all, a brilliant procedure carried out by a jolly nice fellow and consummate professional.

I would highly recommend Damian for all your knee troubles! I had been having bad knee pain for years, but it was getting worse to the point that it was stopping me doing the things I enjoyed and preventing me from sleeping. Damian was quick to establish the cause and clearly set out the options. He really put me at ease from the beginning. I had a TTO on each knee, about 5 months apart. The surgeries on both knees went brilliantly and after a period of recovery and physio, I am finally pain free. I put off me surgery for 2 years as I had heard mixed reviews and I was always told you can't beat your original knees so I suffered. It came to a point where I could not go downstairs without holding onto both the handrails I plucked up the courage and went to my GP and asked if I could once again go on the waiting list. Right up to the day of the surgery I wanted to pull out I am so happy now that I had the courage to go through with it I am 6 weeks since the operation. I can now keep up with my partner as she walks I can now walk down steps without having pain in my knee and I can once again cycle with Confidence. The most important thing when you go for your you're knee op you must train and do physio before you arrive and continue to do the physio afterwards you can go to the best surgeon in the world but if all you're going to do is just lay there and say you've got a little bit of pain, you will never feel the full benefit of this operation. Please remember you are in a partnership of becoming mobile and how well your knee heels depends not just on the brillant surgeon and the whole medical team, but on you yourself. If you can can get to your correct body weight before your surgery increase your core strenth and then the whole recovery process will be so much easier.
