Excellent surgery. I am writing this is express my gratitude to the doctors and reception at this practice. I have recently moved away and finding a surgery that will match Horfield Health Center is proving to be a challenge!

Every time I have any interaction with the staff at Horfield Health Centre I always think ‘I must write them a good review’! So I just want to write this as a thank you before I forget. After struggling with my old surgery in central Bristol, it’s been truly refreshing being a patient here since May 2021. Reception Staff Answer the phone in quick time, at their busiest within 20 minutes. They’re kind, reassuring and knowledgeable. Nurses Gentle, friendly and kind, brilliant with my baby when she came for her jabs and also with me when I’ve invasive examinations. Midwives Exemplary care from staff that are truly passionate about their jobs and go above and beyond. I felt very well taken care of during my pregnancy during the pandemic. Doctors I’ve only had 2 interactions with Doctors so far, but I’ve found them helpful, professional and informed. You’re a credit to the area and I wish I had moved to this surgery a long time ago. Thank you for all of your hard work.

The surgery is always running late. The waiting times can easily be up to 20 minutes. The receptionists are almost always rude, in person and over the phone. They cut you off in mid sentences and are stern and impolite. My experience with the doctors have been pretty good. They listen to your concerns. The only reason we are still with the surgery! EDIT: My recent appointment with a GP ( not mine) was rushed. I was out the door with my toddler in under 2 minutes - disappointed.

Can't fault the surgery on their handling of the vaccine program. An outstanding example of how to organise such an operation. Recieve text, pick a time, turn up and be seen within minutes of arriving. Very good.

I know that this isn't a forum but I feel that some reviewers have been very unfair to this excellent health centre. It is a busy place so sometimes I think we have to be a bit more patient, and this is helped by the friendly and helpful receptionists. I required a couple of emergency counselling sessions very recently and I had excellent quality of care from both reception staff and duty doctors - I didn't even have to wait that long on both occasions - even though I expected to because they fitted me in at the last minute. Well done Horfield Health Centre - I wish I could give you more than 5 stars! And no, I don't work for them ;)

Doctors and nurses are very helpful. Never had a problem. Reception almost never answer the phone. Personally ,9 out of 10 times I had to go there in person to book appointment.

I am in and out of the doctors have been for years for several reasons.. I used to attend emersons green Drs then thankfully I moved and joined this one a few months back. Since joining I have had a diagnosis after years of complaints to my previous GP. I am finally getting help with mental health also. I am so happy to be a patiant here all doctors, nurses and reception I have seen have been so welcoming, friendly and helpful!

Recently I've not been so impressed but it's still welcoming as you walk in, appears to have good systems in place. Think some of the staff say great things, just had one experience recently where it felt a bit less useful. A bit casual- maybe it had been a long day for her. Will probably stick with it but could change GP i guess. Think i have options, might check them out.

Very quite due to pandemic usually in normal times its packed. Saw doctor not alot doing just to change my media from ibbrofine to noproxine

Lots of doctors emergency appointments if needed can be given out twice a day. Lots of services available within the building. Filming gp behind closed doors but easy to refuse if you don't want to be filmed.

Usually late on appointments but otherwise they have been brilliant and very helpful when it comes to my children too. The receptionists are friendly and most of the doctors are fantastic the best practice I have ever been with, been with them for about 8 years now

I wish to thank the GP's and nurses who attended and cared for my Mother for some 10 years.Mum was obstinate and obstructive regarding her care but a number of GP's overcame this and did do their best .There are however a number of failings regarding conduct with the NHS emergency Doctors,Ambulance crews and local care agency's.There should be a protocol for GP's in that they are able to report failings of care and then remain distant from criminal investigations being left to do what they do best..being to care for their patient

It's a joke trying to phone you listen to the recorded message for 2 minutes then get told your wait tme is for 10 minutes and still waiting 20 minutes later
