Dr Shufflebotham has been an amazing GP for my grandmother we missed the appointment time but he was very understanding and still saw her for the treatment and always speaks to her with a really lovely manner Unfortunately I would agree with other reviews, reception staff rarely show the same empathy or understanding

I have been so pleased with the service at this doctors. I never have to wait long on the phone and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I find that I often have to ask several times to get the treatment I need (even when I have hospital letters stating I need the treatment) and I don't get reminded when my injection is due which is fine for me, but if I were older or busier I don't know how I'd be expected to remember every three months. I recently needed a smear test and despite having a letter from a hospital consultant explicitly saying when it was due, it took a long time for me to get it booked (not due to coronavirus) because I didn't have the standard letter. I had to phone many times before it was booked. I worry that lots of people aren't as persistent as I am and may miss out on essential treatment/tests if they are disregarded by reception staff in the way I sometimes am. I also felt that when I had the smear test, the lady who did it didn't have any regard for my comfort and caused me quite a lot of pain. This was unprofessional and unlike other smear experiences I've had which have been carried out gently and with minimal discomfort. A little bit of care goes a long way. Overall, the practice is good when you finally get the appointments you need.

Good service, medical staff always friendly helpful and informative. Work on the gatekeeper routine, there are appointments available which is great so no need to make it difficult for people when trying to arrange one. If you wish people to go online put proper comms and guidance in place. It's easy enough but not clearly publicised. Particularly since Covid (which will be the norm long term) there has been a strange insistence that there are no appointments available which when you think it through is a little silly.

I find both the reception staff and doctors very helpful, polite and professional. All GP practices are busy and some of the reviewers here do not seem to take the difficulties of operating an NHS primary care service into account. If you need an appointment, the online booking system works very well once you have set it up (for non-urgent appointments) and receptionists are very good at arranging urgent appointments when needed.

I experienced Major problems with anxiety and depression last summer 2019 . I was booked in to see once of the practice Nurses Hayley Ford ,who was simply excellent . She was both reassuring and supportive . Hayley adjusted my medication slightly , advised on some reading material and resources available within the community . I've been seeing various practitioners over the years with this issue and have made little progress ,but Hayley helped me turn a significant corner regarding my MH . I'm so grateful to her for all her help.

During the past year I have needed a lot of medical attention. Having been hospitalised for several weeks it is down to the GP service to finish the recovery work and all the side issues which arise. This surgery has done an excellent job showing a great willingness to refer to other hospital services and clear issues. I have been concerned in the past by the relative lack of routine checks on patient health. The treatment from the past year more than makes up for that.

I spent 20 minutes on the phone, only to be told that a telephone appointment is all that is offered and that there was nothing available. I appreciate that this is difficult times for everyone, but is there any point in even having a GP ? Further to my above review. After being on hold for a considerable time, only to get a stroppy cow answer the phone. This is procisely why I left.

i have been very impressed by this surgery. Very efficient and polite staff and doctors. Have need to make several appointments for various conditions lately and have received excellent care. We are lucky to have this surgery in our area.

Have been treated like a nuisance by Dr. Samantha Morgan (Head of the Practice) even though I rarely attend (maybe twice a year) and I dread going to the surgery as a result - not easy as I have had cancer and I lost my son a few years ago.

Did not know details of what private hire 9f their building rooms! But where helpful think they should keep details 9f who hires the rooms contact details and times of what these private hires do! Just a suggestion?
