We are so lucky to have such a good doctors surgery. This surgery every morning offer an open access clinic. You can turn up between 8am and 10am and you will get seen by a doctor with no appointment. This is super handy if you have young children or are elderly. After all who is able to know if they are going to wake up ill to pre book an appointment. The receptionist I saw this morning was so helpful, it was super busy as you can imagine but the receptionist was so helpful. What a good little doctors surgery. So grateful for this to be my local one.

I moved to UK 5 years ago and have been under three different surgeries due to various moves within Colchester. In my experience Wimpole Road Surgery offers a stellar experience compared to the other Surgeries I was under. They have been fantastic in their care for my daughter. Walk-In's tend to be a breeze; sure, there's a wait just like any other surgery, but the GP's and Nurse Practitioners take their time to listen to you. Equally they have been really on the ball regarding my wife's mental health and solving any issues surrouding medicaiton. Whilst there is room for improvement, primarily in communication re prescriptions etc. more often than not it's not the surgery that has been at fault. The reception staff have a difficult job to screen all incoming requests, and I feel they are doing a stellar and efficient job with a friendly attitude. Sure, I have been frustrated with them at times but that has been due to me not getting what I want as opposed to them being dififuclt. All in all if you live in this surgereries area I wholeheartedly recomend them.

I cannot praise this surgery and staff enough. I work in the care sector and know what a tough time this pandemic has been. I'm not a sicky person and very rarely need a dr. But over the last year I have had a few issues. My treatment has been dealt with very quickly and effectively. Not once have I had any issues. Always get an appointment. My mother and father moved to Colchester In the 1930s Just before I was born, as is obvious I am now well past my sell by date, I consider I was lucky to be born in this area which then was a lovely town, and countryside., and considered one of the nicest parts old G.B What I consider also is living just off Wimpole road, any ills could be seen to by Wimpole Road Surgery, in the last almost 90 years I have seen many Doctors and nurses from this surgery and have always considered this to be the most helpful and professional staffed surgeries you could pick. As my my hair hearing and sight , have all deteriorated with age , all staff have been so patient with me it really does feel nice to be greeted and treated with a smile, Thanks to all at Wimpole road you are most appreciated

Found this surgery to be very good! The Receptionists are very friendly and welcoming and take time with patients. The doctors and nursing staff listen to the ailments which are troubling you and recommend different options. Have had many health problems and these have been treated well and involved specialist treatments. The one doctor I found condescending and rude was a female elder doctor who has thankfully now left. Wonderful place and the fact you can book appointments and prescriptions online makes life easier.
